  • My favorite actress of all time talking about my favorite actor of all time... wow x

  • CarCriticAssessor ....pfffttt how sad it is, You feel the need to take up space with your use of ridiculous language that really does not mean anything. What an absolute ARSE. I think you are a failed Actor. BITTER and twisted and lets not forget pathetic. Long live Jimmy, Adored by millions! :-)

  • Out of all her movies my favorite was virginia wolf. Her and richard captured the audiance with their sex appeal.

  • Is so sad when people die early,look at the case of James dean and elizabeth Taylor at least she enjoyed herself b/c she stayed longer.

  • @CarCriticAssessor

    Why do you repeat yourself over and over again? I saw your comments on another James Dean video and they are similar to these comments or possibly the same. If you dislike him so much, then why are you commenting on his videos? As for Jimmy's looks, he is highly regarded as one of the most handsome men who ever lived. Take your miserable, rambling comments somewhere else because there are people who respect Jimmy for his contributions to cinema and I am one of them.

  • James would have been great.

  • wow, u got beat up by a gay guy jim

  • Imagine A Movie: Marlon Brando, James Dean, Paul Newman, Robert De Niro

  • @BlackSoulAcid Yes Add Jack Nicholson And Al Pachino For The Ultimate Movie Ever

  • I want this whole goddamn interview, dammit!

  • And you know this how???

  • Why do i think of tom hanks every time i watch this......weird

  • If James Dean was still alive he would have made Marlon Brando look like a drama school student

  • @jsingh974

    you're joking right? it would be the other way around

  • F'in A people who gives a shit whether James Dean was gay or not ??? It shouldn't take away what a great actor he was. Some of you need to get a life. YOUR TEARIN ME APARTT .. YOU YOU SAY ONE THING, HE SAYS ANOTHER AND EVERYBODY CHANGES BACK AGAIN !!!

  • What year was this?

  • @Mike6E 1955

  • James Dean was Gorgeous, lovely face, short hair & engaging personality! & Locke with that short, light brown hair all cut neat & tidy. Where you see his blue eyes filled with that intense deep thought, and soft gentle wisdom. That darling little face changed shape with a hair cut & is no longer hidden behind a mop of tarzan junior hair, no longer looks like Tarzan junior, but a gorgeous little man.. It's like Locke stepped out of another era all because of a simple yet stylish boys haircut.

  • You sick queens are all so full of shit.Get a life!

    A man's personal,private sex life is just THAT.None of anyone's business.

  • To brabon1- I get it your old and miserable and you dont have shit to do all day so you make up shit thats not true about an american icon that is dead,all i have to say is get a life,because you need one.have a great day!!! p.s you a pretty bad story teller..

  • what i want to know is....did rock hudson fuck dean?

  • @brabon1 jamed dean was not gay you punk!!!

  • @rebelDean550 oh he was so gay...he and sal mineo had an affair

  • @brabon1 how do you know that he was gay you were not there to ask him,O I GET IT YOUR A FOLLOWER YOU BELIEVE WHAT HOLLYWOOD SAYS.RESEARCH BEFOR YOU JUDGE.!!!!!

  • @rebelDean550 i asked sal mineo

  • @brabon1 SO YOU WERE 2 YEARS OLD WHEN HE TOLD YOU ,THATS FUNNY I DONT EVEN REMEMBER WHEN I WAS 2 YEARS OLD..GO BS SOMEONE ELSE:)

  • @rebelDean550 you think i would post my correct age on youtube? i saw him in a play in san francisco....and i spoke to him after the play...and he told me that dean loved it up the ass

  • @rebelDean550 It was confirmed That James Dean was Gay Man

    Elizabeth Taylor saying That fact openly in the Public ( Glaad Media Awards ) 2001

    Advocate interview 1996 , Marlon Brando give a speech aboout it in His Autobiography .

    many other serious People you got involded in lifetime Odysse .

  • and another thng, lol, Newman wasnt as good as Dean naturally. Dean beat both Newman and Mqueen out for all sorts of parts in NYC thus making his mark in the industry first. Period. Sorry Newman fans. And i love Newman as well

  • ..and whoever says Dean is overrated is full of shit! You do what he did. Good luck. Whoever says Dean was overrated knows Nothing of what it takes to perform at a high caliber.

  • Considering Brandos body of work. He is hands down the best film actor weve ever had in my opinion

  • He would have possibly surpassed Brando. Mainly because Deans craft to him was like a religion. Brando didnt think quite so highly of the craft. The truth is though, Dean wanted to move into directing. He half directed Rebel along side of Ray. He was moving into directing.

  • I think he had Brando potential. He made the movies he was in. He was so similar to Brando everybody wanted him on screen at all times.

  • How old is this?

  • @LordKalbert

    Not that old. About 2004/5

  • @brightlights456X Oh cool :)

  • @LordKalbert 2000

  • elizabeth taylor +blonde = is a bad idea.

  • Never liked the blonde hair. Dame Elizabeth always looked better w/her natural dark hair.

  • @lasuvidaboy

    I agree.

  • wtf kind of silly questions is Larry King asking? lol

  • what is that white thing on the table? a dog or something? anyone. thank you.

  • Sorry James Dean

    Was over rated...perhaps had he lived he'd have improved but it was back in my day.. And he was a hottie... I don't think he could have touched Paul Newman's caliber of acting...

  • @GATAMONAE Honestly thats not fair to Dean because he died,We really don't know where he would have become.Newman was a great actor but he also lived longer and had more time to refine his craft.

  • @GATAMONAE I agree, I think it was more his personality,looks and overall image. But whenever I see Paul Newman I see a lesser Brando

  • James Dean...Elizabeth Taylor...Rock Hudson....imagine being on that set. Where is a time machine when you need one....

  • She was always my favorite that's why I wrote a song about her

  • what if.... ?

  • douche

  • dean could not act , , ,

  • @BarbedHook lmao yeah, i bet you could do what he did in his films. yeah. that shits real easy.

  • Poor OLD Larry King had a tiny litte STROKE in 2007 - he was "Not Quite Right" after that - but he had a contract. You need a MAJOR event to clean up television -lets all hope ...

  • @sargonsrobot haha you're an awful person, you know that?

  • Driving near the spot In California where James Dean died, my friend & I rambled down that bit of highway. About a 40 minutes drive. Beautiful country.

    When we arrived at the exact point where James died it was one of the most spiritual moments of my life. The sky, the sun, the mystical feeling.

  • @esquibelle me too : ) drove through it by accident in nov. 2010 and had to stop. seems so strange that he died on that desolate road. never much traffic. had to be fate i imagine.

  • @n0072687 There is something about that place where James Dean died.

    My friend & I sang a silly song the entire time we drove there. The title? "James Dean Died". We did it in Japanese accents. Why? Don't know. "Jame Dean die..."

    Then we got there. A Japanese man had spent thousands of dollars building a memorial to James Dean at the spot where he had the accident. Coincidence? Can't say.

  • Respond to this video... I only know I felt a profound, mystical feeling there. The only other grave I felt these feelings were in Italy.

    One was St. Francis of Assisi. The other was Rafael in the Pantheon.

  • RIP Dear Sweet Lady...Now you can talk/be with Michael J again.. :)

  • RIp liz taylor

  • James Dean Was perfect

  • foeheads lol. i see what your saying. I left out the R so its hard to know what i meant. What else you got>? You like to fight. Ive seen it in the comments. Is this the best retort your gonna give me? Cause, I gotta say, im a little disappointed, although hardly surprised.

  • "studious foreheads".you gotta problem with that then you dont have much thought going on up there and cant put two and two together for shit. And boy, some art expert you are. Its a qoute from the very interesting and symbolic poet Arthur Rimbaud. What? I should write like everybody else? Or better yet, like you? Making common everyday surface comments that you see everyday on here that just come across as pompous, dense, and hateful. lol.

  • you also obviously do not understand the complexities and specifics of the process of performing on Q in front of a camera when someone says the word action. The letting go of the ego that is involved. All sorts of wormholes I cant mention on these short little comment sections. The best actors make it look easy.People watching naturally think its so easy because when done even decently it looks somewhat real. It isnt as easy as good actors make it look .sorry but you have little viable argument

  • and if you gotta problem with my spelling. Give me an F on my paper while your at it. hahaha

  • Ill also agree that in biopics they pretend to be someone else. lol. Thats all good sir. that is all i agree with you about. But even in playing someone else one has to bring ones self to the moving portrait! The actor, the person, is THE vessel. Oh, and Davinchi is a grade A out of this world genius!

  • Cast down a mans work. You pathetic wretch. Well, you must be a teacher of some sort. I dont know. Eithery way, those that cannot do sit and talk and judge others who stick theyre neck out and risk something. It takes bravery to be your most private self in front of a camera with disassociated union blue collar workers on set there. Your in front of the whole world! That takes cahones i dont imagine you could ever muster good sir. I agree on this, movies have become a joke generally speaking.

  • oh my gosh James Dean was perfection.

  • james franco looks so much like him

  • Larry was such a bad interviewer. He would often ask a question to his guests like he does here and then interrupt them when they answering with his own opinion, or change tooics entirely before the guest could fully answer. Glad he is finally gone. What a loser he was.

  • Happy Birthday James Dean 02/08/2011 Forever Young

  • elizabeth taylor's American accent in Giant was completely hilarious

  • @MyMerlin1 Yeah, and Dean's Texas accent was cool too I think

  • Elizabeth Taylor is so beautiful.

  • James Dean was perfect.

  • @cactusmilo918 James Dean IS perfect

  • He was a good actor for his age, but he could have never beat Al Pacino. In that case I've said it all, these two were the best actors of all time.

  • I love James Dean, but his acting in "the Giant" was terrible, He annoyed me a lot.

    I prefer him in "REbel without a cause" and "East of Eden"

  • @missismercury You're entitled to your opinion, but I'd be more likely to respect it if you seemed to know what you were talking about: the film is simply titled "Giant"...is it not a film about the oversized.

  • @LampwicksCigar what are you talking about? being a James Dean fan does not mean, I have to like all his work.

  • come on people, there's no need to hate on brando to praise dean, they were both great actors, there's no doubt dean would've been one of the all time greatest actors to ever live were he still alive, just look at the mark he's left on us and hollywood in his short but brillant career as an actor

  • that vicodin was hitting her...

  • Comment removed

  • @eltimo12 Well I guess Pacino , Deniro , Nicholson and Hopkins musta been in the A - stream in '' method acting school '' and the othr 2 prob talkd...lol....sorry mumbled at the back of tha class ...in the B - stream....cuz I aint seen 1 gud movie were Blando an queenie Deanie act half well.... Well seeing u want me to let u know..actually lol I was born with a lump on my head..REALLY..my ma had difficulties...the Dr said he'll be an intelligent boy...wow..he was sooo right . Amazing huh ? ;D

  • Dean and Brando are mumbling JOKES...lmao..all these old pple who say theyre great are just nostalgic....God they are TERRIBLE actors...WTF do pple see that the rest of us cant ? They are like paint by numbers actors to the Micheal Angelos actors of the likes of Jack Nicholson ,Deniro , Pacino ,Hopkins and Olivier...what a big con on Hollywood these ''method actors'' are lmfao xD

  • @XxpauldadudexX you are a moron in every sense of the word

  • @eltimo12 says you dude...ur a cok suka in every sense of the word

  • Comment removed

  • Brando was a D-Bag...... not even close to Dean or Clint Eastwood

  • @mrsmelzbad Clint easwtood?? Clint's a Great Filmmaker and was a great action star but hardly an actor...atleast not in the same acting category as Dean and Brando!

  • @Tusc9969 brando DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD- BAG

  • @mrsmelzbad Nah...dirty harry, jerk wad!

  • oh, ok, So i proved you wrong, so your response is to attack me with a child like rant.

    What next? Are you going to throw a stone at me?

    As for ``different professions`? You ARE kidding right,, acting vs Wold known scientist and author. Why, you must be a graduate of Ha-vad Law skool!

  • I can`t believe the comments on her about how GREAT he was. You do realize that his job was pretending to be someone else. That`s not greatness. Only in the US do people think that.

  • @xvoy2002 what are you talking about? when those comments are being said, they are ultimately referring to his acting, as they hadnt known enough to base him off something else. no one here said he had the best personality. it wasnt that he pretended to be someone else that made him great, it was that he did it so brilliantly, as not many can do. dont underestimate the arts. its a complicated subject and james worked his ASS off to get where he landed.

  • @chelleybeezy Well, he was only 24 years old.. Hardly a life of working his ass off. I don`t underestimate the arts. I work heavily in the arts, and i know greatness is not achieved through making a couple of movies.

  • @xvoy2002 LOL! hardly? i wasnt referring to years. i find it comical you felt compelled to mention the age in which he became deceased. amount of years in the business does not affirm exertion or effort. he struggled during the journey towards success. it wasnt handed to him. and first of all, "greatness" is an opinion. one highly decent play can affirm "greatness" in the eyes of the crowd. but isnt it the two paintings leonardo davinci was affirmed "great" for? hmm?

  • @chelleybeezy Well, actually no, he wasn`t .Leonardo Davinci was affirmed as ``great`` for a lifetime of work. He was quite old when he died, and developed ideas in science ect, that were well ahead of his time. His ``two paintings`` were just an offshoot of the reason he is known as a great man.

    Comparing James Dean to Davinci is like comparing Boxcar Willie to Ludwig Van Beethoven.

  • @xvoy2002 if you had even a slither of intelligence in that small brain of yours, you'd know i WASNT comparing davinci to james dean. why compare anyways? they chose different professions. i was merely giving an example. and you my friend are highly predictable. it is usually the two/three projects they did that their career is WIDELY based off. that was my point.

  • @xvoy2002 says you. get that stick out of your ass and stop romanticising about centuries gone by. The old world. This is the century past the one where this art form was born.True greatness is not achieved in much art most the time either way..art that only becomes food for fodder among the studious with broad foreheads who like to puff puf intellectually while real issues like starvation exist. Actors dont pretend to be someone else.You know nothing of the craft of acting and the tools therein

  • @AbsintheColour Well, congratulations. That`s about ths stupidest reply i`ve ever seen.

    ```food for fodder among the studious with broad foeheads`` ,..... please.. What are you,, a girl?
  • @xvoy2002 the stupidest huh? haha Thats quite a clever one you got there yourself. Your so original by the way. What with all your negative comments and trite replies on subjects you know little to nothing about.
  • @AbsintheColour That comment is even worst than the first. You`re trying too had. Embarassing.
  • @AbsintheColour he's a troll. ignore him
  • @AbsintheColour oh shut the fuck up arsewipe yopur very boring ranting here like a drunken old sop
  • @roryboytube suck on these nuts. how would you like it if your lifes work was shit all over by some fucking nooob low life? suck on these nuts. anybody who says anything bad about jimmy dean can suck it. that goes for you to you nosey sack of dung.
  • @xvoy2002 Yeh, but he was great doing what he did. And that WAS pretending to be someone else. Idiot.
  • @Ellen53935 I can tell where your from just by your not... ending with ``Idiot`` pretty typical of your part of the world, were the men are classless and the women are just as bad.
  • @xvoy2002 Hey, at least we're good at what we do.
  • when was this interview on tv? have to have the date for a schoolproject xD
  • Why is Larry King so dumb? Why does he ask such incredibly stupid questions? "How good would James Dean have become?" Larry, dear, have you ever SEEN any of his movies? How can you "become" any better than he was? The man was GOLD on screen. But because you are apparently blind and stupid, you wouldn't know that, would you, "Larry"?
  • Dean would have been bigger than Brando (as much as I like Brando too).
  • FUCK BRANDOOOOOO!!!!
  • notice how Miss Taylor pauses slightly before answering questions on  james dean very respectful to him one classy lady
  • you stinking sons of benedict lol
  • Didn't have much to say, did she? Had no idea liz was Jewish. My roomate used to call herself "little liz". She slept with the producer of local play in order to get the lead part. He was years older.
  • @smurfette2234 Jewish by conversion when she married eddie fisher, not by blood. she didnt have to sleep with any producers, they only wished they could sleep with her
  • @werobanks yeah right. I remember that now, Eddie Fisher. when I married a Jew, I didn't have to become Jewish. He didn't care at the time. Now he lives in Israel.My brother in law used to say that everybody in Hollywood did that. I know Marilyn did.
  • @smurfette2234 Don't forget she was cock hungry too at the time.
  • :DDDDDDD
  • OMG!!!This is such a great vid and look t the fighting on the bottom!!!
  • Yeah norb, Elizabeth Taylor...and boy, she LOVED the men!
  • @powerbar00 We, in this country, are obsessed with celebrity.
  • @powerbar00 she is known as mrs BIG ... yeah , I was talking to her friend just a day ago
  • that was not even his best scene. the one where he's alone and walking around his house and yard was great.
  • babyface elizabeth :-))
  • Dean is the KING of acting. I mean 3 motion pictures and a nod for an oscar in his 1st film!!! You can't write this stuff...
  • Oh my god, you are really one sick and screwed up idiot. @galaows
  • @galaows your really a fucked up individual that can't even spell properly
  • @birminghamoi I know that truth hurts especially for Jews like you
  • @galaows Okay. Now that you've madew you point, and a total ass of yourself to boot, you ought to just leave. please, now. I'm embarassed for you, as is everyone else here.
  • @SupernaturalLover67 Listen asshole, who gave you the right to talk in belalf of others sun of a bitch .. just talk about your self .. dirty jew
  • @galaows how am I being an asshole? you're the immature, ignorant, arrogant prejudiced son of a bitch here.
    I'm not jewish, by the way.
  • @SupernaturalLover67 You can easily say that you are not a Jew, but from your responses you are worse than a Jew .. you are a Zionist mother fucker
  • @galaows what does that make you??
    god I don['t even know why I'm arguing with you. You need a shrink, not me.
  • giant is one of my favorite films. elizabeth looks gorgeous here.
  • I would think, had James Dean lived, he would have been up for Paul Newman/Steve McQueen roles, not so much Brando parts.
  • @wheelinthesky300 Funny you say that as his nexxt supposed film was Somebody Up There Likes me which Newman got.
  • @MissTLI1980 I can easily see Dean doing Newman's parts in
    Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Hud, The Hustler, Hombre, and Cool Hand Luke,
    and a somewhat more mature Dean in McQueen's parts in
    The Great Escape, The Sand Pebbles, and Bullit.
    Those were the big films made at that time,
    and those are the ones Dean would have been offered.
  • @wheelinthesky300 I like James Dean but I would wrather the Paul Newman Cool Hand Luke
  • @wheelinthesky300 - you may be right, but he had far more potential than Newman and oceans more abilty than McQueen, who had a very 'wooden' on-screen persona. He would have taken on roles they couldn't have handled. Brando was initially powerful but eventually became a mumbling parody of himself. Dean was by nature, a restless, neurotic and inquisitive actor, curious about the possibilities of how far. He was touched by genius.
  • @prescient8 hou hou, slow down, buddy, Jimmy was REALLY GREAT but saying that he had far more potential than Paul Newman who had done about 60 movies instead 3 is pretty unfair. Paul was gifted by God and he proved that lot of times.
  • @alikalik85
    Jimmy didn't live long enough to do 60 films! We don't know what Jimmy's future held because we never got to see it. I love Paul too, but Newman lived long enough to do 60 films, Jimmy did not : (
  • @bfnfamily Exactly that's why prescient8 can't say that Jimmy had far more potential than Newman. We can objectively compare only the work they had done, not what they would done if....
  • I LOVE JAMES DEAN !!!
  • Love Elizabeth Taylor. Such an awesome actress and a stunning woman.
  • James was a begnner and he was great for a beginner. He would have been great if he was given the chance. There's no man as near as handsome or as charming. So all you haters, you wish you were like James Dean.
    REST
    IN
    PEACE
  • james dean steve mcqueen and paul newman all started their acting careers at the same time all 3 were hot looking guys and all 3 were big into sports cars and motor racing.
  • Jimmy was special in that his life was a lesson to us all, live it to the fullest, follow your dreams, take risks bc anyone can live but only few ever feel truly alive. Death can come at any time, it doesn't discriminate by age or class. There's a quote that always reminds me of him.."Its not about the years in your life, but the life in your years." Jimmy may have died incredibly young but lived his life 10x over compared to so many.
  • Jimmy was an excellent actor.Portrayed emotion from the sincerest place in his soul.Watch eden and it's clear. All it took was a look in his eyes and you could clearly see the character's pain, really feel it within your own heart. Watching his work is like being on a roller coaster. THAT'S acting. Brando was great, so was Clift..but this clip is about James..not meant to demean the other 2 legends.
  • jimmy the best!
  • deans acting was best portrayed through his movie Giant. and it was sadly his last ):
  • Forget Brad and Angelina.
    Dean and Taylor wipe the floor with them.
  • More like Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor.
  • @Omasegi everyone is a good actor and that business isn't that easy and they all try their hardest.
  • @Omasegi Brad and Angie Voight are a joke. Nobody takes them seriously.
  • @Omasegi here here! :D
  • @Omasegi Do you have to be dysfuntional to be a good actor?
  • @Omasegi if i was rock hudson i would hit jimmys chrachter too hitting on my wife like that i read rock did not like jimmy much on giant he respected deans talent bur jimmy was always late for filming on the set and rock found that unperfessional.
  • @azzorroww Jimmy was only late because the film crew didn't have it together in terms of scheduling. They would make him sit there all day waiting to go on and then never use him because they fell behind and didn't get to his scenes. They basically wasted days of Dean's time so he got fed up and took the day off as well as showed up late a few times. It was a way of saying to the crew "See? How do you like it?"
  • @Omasegi absolutly agree
  • When Elizabeth Taylor appears, the cameras flash until it's blinding. The world has never seen a more beautiful woman. Elizabeth Taylor is one of the last, if not the last great star that came of the old Hollywood studio system. And it is still a sign of her superstar quality, that when next she appears, we will look and wonder - the public eye still widens in anticipation.
  • Dean was one of the greats...what more can be said?
  • I think they were equal, although I like Brando's films better.
  • If James had lived and continued acting like the way he did in Giant, he would of made Brando look like a drama school student.
  • they were both great but i don't know if i agree with what u said. i do like jimmy better though as i say this
