It also works on a Gibson SG Special Worn&Faded THREE pickup guitar, it has a six way pickup selecter, if you hold the selecter between two positions all pickups will be turned off, and rapidly switch between one pickup and between two pickups as you rub your fingers across the strings you get the Morello sound. It's pretty hard, but practice makes perfect.

You need either a kill switch or tomething that can do two volumes. Thats it. And it has to be a three way switch but not all three way switches can do it.

i really don't know, but could doing that harm your guitar... i mean, going between on and off with the killswitch over and over again quickly seems like a lot of wear and tear, and eventually it would probably break. maybe im just crazy, but let me know

the worst it could do would breaj the pick up selector switch when he mashes it to swap the pick ups and there only like £10 from most music shops and they take 5 mins to install tops and u would realy have to attack it to break it off

you have a strat i'm assuming. this would for the most part be permanent, so you gotta really want one.one thing you could do is to put a button killswitch in (ala buckethead) place of a tone nob, and just wire a master tone.or just leave the tone knob inside the guitar.or if your really committed you could full out drill a hole in your ax where tom has his and put a toggle switch in, and just wire it to your neck pick-up.so when you switch it your either on the neck pickup, or on nothing.
