They are beautiful animals. I hope it is true that some have survived. I would love to know it for sure, til them we can all hope they are out there, and hope they stay in hiding.
@iclandgirl They killed them for the false belief that they were major sheep killers, though new research actually shows the animals were not strong enough to kill adult sheep and that the killing were by feral dogs and disease. They were pretty much a silent animal but some people have said when hunting they made a 'yip yip' sound similar to a terrier
@balto4 This is just a terribly sad thing. I have to have hope- there are some left - . Nature is in crises. And only there is only one mammalian to blame.
if people think i am lying do some research read a fucking book for once i really hope we fine them the reason why we didn't fined them because they think every human wants to kill kill them i think they want to be left alone and keep away from humans i would do the same if i was them if i was a Thylacine humans killing my species just for a sport and for money i mean if you were one of them would you do the same thing stay in a deep forest were there is no humans to bother you.
i was doing some research i found out that some where in 1925 a breeding program had 12 Thylacine 6 males 6 females they release them it a secret location were there they cannot be encountered by humans and ether if they saw a human they are really shy animals and only hunt at night and the sightings are true a man an ex hunter he used to hunt Thylacine when he was camping he saw a female Thylacine he was shocked as he was looking at the Thylacine the man smiled happy to see that their alive
@docturevil29 Thanks for sharing this-I have no heard this one yet,but will look it up. I do believe you,as it I have heard of rumours of secret locations and releases ect
@balto4 by the way when i was talking about the hunter when he saw the Thylacine he saw it in 1938 2 years after the last one died in Hobart Zoo in 1936 i was even shocked when i was reading it it gave me hope that they are alive and thanks for believing me and I'll do more research
I don't know the details of the story about the hunter who saw the thylacine in 1938 but I would dismiss it right of hand as the "hunter" would have shot it and got his name in the papers as the one who killed the last one.
Damn these bounty hunters the scum of the earth... These creatures evolved since millions of years and then human comes around and sees a threat to his cattle and stuff... Whats so difficult to understand in that this land was the home of these creatures long before anyone else! I so much hope Thylacines managed to survive undiscovered somehow..!
I totally agree with you but when you said 4,000 sightings can't be writin off but how about the thousands maybe millions of ufo sightings......everyone writes thoughs off as hoaxes.
It's amazing that animals are evolving all the time, and after years of hunting it's adapted to life so it wont be seen by humans. The first kangaroos to see guns stood there and watched as they were all shot dead, now they flee at the first signs of humans in non domesticated areas. They evolved to escape danger.
This is my favorite exctinct and all time animal it is so cool tiger stripes huge mouth ears like a lion and more! the hunters that killed them, well, foxes adn wolves kill sheep too! When ever ppl kill an animals just for the heck of it or becaus ethe hate it, puit yourslef in its position. would you like to die? i mean they prob had families when killed no one wants to die even though its just an animal, god made everything for a reason i wish this one will be found, populated in my life time.
People just want to kill everything-look at the arial wolf hunt in Alaska, not because they kill sheep there, but becsause they eat too many deer!!! What are wild animal supposed to do??!! they kill them for killing domestic stock, yet kill them when they eat natural prey as well.People really suck sometimes :(
the story of the thylacine is just the beginning, the next 25 years we will lost a lot of animals....sad but we will see that nightmare, god protect us....
The video's hot! The music and the shots show the animal in a really mystical light. I think even someone with a bad image of this animal could watch this & come away seeing how absolutely amazing the Thylacine truly is. Keep-Up the good work!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.Unfortunatly there are probably people that are glad they were killed-but hoping to bring light on to this animal.People think of wolves the way they did the thylacine
yeah they must be alive, ppl spot them. but eveyone wants proof. i belive they're still alive. carcases, possible footage, foot prints! thats a lot of proof. i just hope they will be discovered once agian and alive in my life.
That's because of that chromosomes of thylacine were very different than most of dogs,
At least Tasmanian devil either numbat or kangroo can have nearly same chromosomes as Thylacine had.
Canines =/= Marsupials if i'm wrong then that would be possible or impossible to interbreeding it with different marsupial relatives, maybe a crossbreed through clone project.
Subspecies Family of thylacines have already extinct, does the scientests will do to?
Absolutely brilliant video, i have always been a big believer in natures ability to adapt and survive against any adversary even man and am a strong believer that these wonderful creatures do still survive in the vast mountainous interior of tasmania, i am trying to put together as much information and knowledge as possible on this subject and would love to build a dialouge with you and pick your brains on the subject as you are obviously very intelligent and inciteful and informed
Thank you :) i take great pride in my work and i wish to show others what I know as well :) Put together as much info as you wish to-anything you want to know feel free to ask or send me a message
Thylacine has been my passion for over 40 years this is a great video. I would love to be able to put some of my research onto "film" but I am not that clever. I would like to mention that around the time of the "english" invasion it was and has been noted that most of the carnivorus marsupials all had a sudden decline most took time to replenish numbers the bounty on the thylacine just never gave it the chance to comeback - though for an extinct animal there are many creditable sightings still
Wow-I haven't even been alive for 40 years LOL But they have been my passion for about 7-8 years now
I think there are some out there hiding as there has been a number of credible sightings, and interestingly enough the sightings seem to be on the increase
This is a wonderful story,If I could own any animal on earth it would be a thylacine withouta doubt - Yes the bounty placed on them was the primary reason for the decline and demise of this very unique marsupial it is a fact that there was a great natural decline in all the carnivours marsupials due to a disease but whilst there were definately other reasons that also contributed to the "extinction" as well but the blame does lie with "US"
"for an extinct species there are regular sighting"
At first i thought it was sick just for hearing that poachers caused the extintion of this creature, but no im pissed. Poachers had to be big enough pussy's to use dogs? can people be this retarded? This world is filled with greed and it needs to be fixed.
20 years ago my father talked to a man who was there when Thylacines where still in SOME numbers and the guy also said he saw a few dead ones
LevitoYT 1 week ago
Don't morn for the Thylacine, the past, but for all the animals the will become extinct at the hands on humans.

Distinctive features: cross between a dog, rat and zebra; 6 feet long, 3 feet tall; nocturnal, wary of humans; large eyes for nocturnal hunting.
