Oh you well never get through the Original Arcade version the games cuts you no slack but when it was Ported to the SNES they made it all easy spread bombs don't work like they should in Gradius 3 (AC)
you should definitely try it!!! it's good, personally I enjoy it just as much as gradius 3 :) whether you go buy it or use an emulator,it doesn't matter, but you HAVE to try it, :)
I'm not too sure but if I remember correcty, it was released for the ps1, so I'm guessing epsxe or psxfin would be good emulators, I have the psp game with 5 gradius games and gaiden was included and the controls are actually very good, nothing that would mess with gameplay ever happened when I played, so you could try that, idk.your choice though :)
You don't even have to shoot the final boss, you can just stay up at the top of the screen where none of his attacks will hit you and just let him kill himself. lol it's the BEST final boss EVER!!
I know but that takes the fun out of a game being challenging BEFORE the final boss, I remember when I first played this and I couldn't finish the game, I wondered how tough the final boss would be lol
lol I found out when I was thirsty so I went to a place that I wouldn't get shot at (forgot to pause the game) I came back and saw the credits rolling. I was like "Whu...? Wha--!? How...? What just happened? Rewind!" (Was using an emulator) I went back and saw that he killed himself. XD I couldn't stop laughing.
@l3riani1 Why the music is perfect the gameplay is no different than any other Gradius game before it Gradius IV is nice and challenging and i enjoy playing it alot.
Gradius IV has mixed difficulty its hard at times but gets easy the longer you stay alive the more othen Option Heaters will come and the game will just keep getting harder but to a certain extent.
How can you not like the music.
Graphics are very good for a game that released in 1999
wow u really have a thing for the E laser, huh? besides, I wanted one song for each boss and the E laser would have meant like 5 seconds per song, but maybe I should have used the E laser the actual boss rush bosses.(did that make sense?)
i dont like the change of music.

I found out that if you don't attack the final boss it still dies. Its the weakest boss ever.

I want to buy it, really I do! But it's only for PSP, and I don't know if I can hook that up to a TV and the control on it feels bad compared to PS2.
Do you know of an emulator for it? I've bought all the rest, the Gradius 3 and IV pack is why I got a ps2...
