  • grandissimo! stupendo, i like you so much

  • I've hooked up the kit through the L/R output. Getting a very quiet level through my mixer and have checked the output levels from the brain and on my mixer. Any suggestion on how I can fix this level problem?

    Thanks a ton!

  • @amtec1234 Sorry, not sure man. I go through the L/R into a mixer. Are you using balanced or unbalanced cables? Try unbalanced if you're not already. Cheers.

  • What program do you use for recording? I just connected my kit to computer but i can't find a way to record drumming with the drums own kits and voices. I just had a program that had some crappy kits in itself, but i really wanna record hi quality songs with this great kit. Any advice? Btw i liked your drumming!

  • @DuddelzZ You have a few options of recording the sounds from the module. You can record from either the Phones, L/R Outputs or the Individual outputs. If you have a mixer between your drums and your pc then it's easy to send the L/R to a channel and then send the mixer output into your soundcard. If you have a soundcar with individual inputs then you can use the individual outputs on the module but this will only give you a dry sound with no effects. Hope that helps. Thanks

  • @Foozow TY for your answer, but what method you use?

  • damn if u rlly droped the stick and did'nt fack droping it than im impresed

  • @cod4lifecuzz Haha, nah I didn't fake dropping it. I just didn't want to record it again so I decided to carry on playing.

I have tried playing one handed before though when I had a bad shoulder. You can see in my clip called Twisted Chain. The sync is a bit off though, courtesy of YouTube. lol

  • You're an excellent musician (much better than I am!!).....but your ghost notes on the snare are throwing off your tempo/syncopation a bit.

  • @chipperdoda Hmm, maybe, I've never studied latin so you could be right! Although I was under the influence of alcohol when I recorder this clip.

  • i have a question, what would you need to hook up 2 sets to 1 brain?

  • @FrieLegos Sorry for the late reply, I use to get emails when people made comment but I don't any more for some unknown reason.

The DTXtreme has 15 pad inputs so what I did was add the pads from my old DTXpress 1 kit.

  • Wich Electric Drum its that

    one?

  • @thekingofguitar1 DTXtreme III

  • That's real entertainment! Cool!

  • dude you play so good you don't even need that other hand! ; )

  • really fucking good.....hands down!!!

  • damn, that is a sweet kit configuration.

I can't imagine if you put to SD 2.0. Or Metal Foundry. hmmm, tasty

  • wheres the stick bag?

  • do you play for jamiroquai?? the drummer really looks like you, and plays like you :D

  • Never gives up! Fight with one hand! Bravo!

  • yamaha makes the best

  • Great job! Darth!..The III module is a great module, eh!...love mine!

  • Wow, sounds very nice. This what I'm lookin for. Dtxtreme 3 owner who really knows how to tweak. No drum software, right?

Very nice playing there, love that playing on timbali and left foot cow bell.

  • Thanks. Nah, no drum software.

  • Just the one brain. The DTXtreme 3.

  • This one is really cool too. It looks like you have two different DTX kits hooked up on your rack. Are they feeding to one brain or two?

  • Just 1 brain hooked up. :-)

  • Awesome vid! Nice improv.

Stick drops are an occupational hazard in our game. When I saw Dave Weckl play a few years back, he dropped a stick right in the middle of a song!

Everyone does it - it's a consequence of playing loosely, which is something I was taught to do.

  • I'm assuming you mean DTXpress 4 seeing as there isn't a DTXtreme 4 yet. I think all the pads will work but you will only get 1 zone out of the toms on the DTXpress 4 because they are single zone splittable ports. So you can split the ports to have 2 pads but not 2 (or 3) zones.

  • my last comment was supposed to be dtxtreme 4 module, not dtxtreme

  • hey man brilliant drumming, i really like ur timing, and the way u play, and the smoothness of all

one question, see how the pads u get with the dtxtreme 3, can you use them through a dtxtreme module?

  • you were great in that video man! ohh, a question about the drum kit (sorry to bother, but i'm planning to buy and i wanna know everything!) can you change the cymbals? i mean, you can grab one of the cymbal it has and assign like crash, ride or china, etc... right? same question with the pads... THANK YOU!

  • Thanks man. You can assign any sound you want to any pad on the kit. You ca also sample and layer your own sounds into the kit.

    Ciao

  • Yeah I'm very happy with it. It's worth every cent. There's so much you can do with it and I haven't even really scratched the surface with it yet. I'll post more vids as I learn more.

  • im planning on buying this kit. Have you been happy with it so far? fill me in manbro.
