@Joker3231000 beacuse the actual Japanese title for the second game was Warriors orochi:Rebirth of the demon lord and not warriors orochi 2..also if you are wondering the same about the dynasty warriors series the reason is bacause america/europe consider the ps1 dynasty warriors as the first game while japan considers the second as the first..probably bacause the first one was a fighting game while the second one was a hack n slash..

@Joker3231000 Warriors Orochi 2 was released with a different name in Japan. Sort of like (Warriors Orochi : XL)'ish release. Thus the different numbering. Much like the Dynasty Warriors franchise when they decided to redo the numbering from DW2 to "New DW1" in Japanese.

I think this is called Musou Orochi 2 is because, there's no Warrior Orochi 2 in Japan, it was Musou Orochi Maou Sairin, so technically in Japan, Warrior Orochi 2 is like an expansion to the first Musou Orochi while getting it renamed when it made it to US shores.

Warrior Orochi 1/2 = US Releases.

Musou Orochi & Musou Orochi Maou Sairin = Japanese Releases (There never was Musou Orochi 2 in Japan)

Thus Warrior Orochi = Musou Orochi

Warrior Orochi 2 = Musou Orochi Maou Sairin.
