I think this ad is a little far-fetched.

Quattro may be excellent but maybe not excellent enough to propel a car up an icy ski jump.

@mikethebeast1012 but BMW is ugly.... and rwd cars you can be as good performance as the AWD, it is best if the drive can be freely set the power transmitted to the wheels, eg 50:50, 40:60, 30:70, 20:80 and 100% to the rear wheels, that would be AWESOME!

Still quattro doesn't work on dry roads because all quattro are based on FWD platform except R8.

@racewithferrari - you are very wrong. BMW (3 Series) was definitely in DTM when the Audi V8 won with quattro... it was later banned. The current DTM can't have awd - so the A4 is rear wheel drive... You can check the history of the rules.

@racewithferrari actually you could not be more wrong, the RS5 is a far better performing car than the M3, it has more power, more torque, better handling, and consistently runs faster laptimes, read a review and you will find the same results. also the only Audis that use FWD based AWD are the smaller cars TT and A3, ALL the others use longitudinal torsion based systems. you clearly know very little about these cars

@racewithferrari wrong again AWD improves handling infinitely vs RWD, it allows turns at much higher speeds and to put the power to the ground quicker, this is simply the laws of physics, and to argue that would just be stupid

@racewithferrari i agree they only make FWD or AWD these days, i also understand the mlb platform, it has nothing to do with FWD based, like i said the only current models that are FWD based are the TT and A3, the others have longitudinal motors and were designed from the ground up to be AWD, however for customer savings they offer FWD basically just cutting the back half of the system off. Quatro is the greatest and most successful AWD system in use today

@racewithferrari again just pure ignorance from you lol the haldex based system you refer to is only used on their small cars (TT and A3), EVERY other car including the A4 and up uses a longitudinal torsion system (with special exceptions like the R8) and has since the 80s, the haldex system you speak of came along long after Audi reinvented AWD

My dad made me obsessed with this marque. When I was growing up we had a 79 5000S, an 88 5000S, an 89 100S and a 90 100S. I love everything that Audi has done, with the exception of the gen 1 TT. I'd sell my soul for a Sport Quattro and RS5 if I had one...

I tried the RS5, great car. But the torque vectoring got a bit boring after a few hours. I wanted some more exciting handling. They should make a switch to lock it at 20:80 so you can drift a bit. Just saying.
