Back home in Murray, people would BEG him to sing at church and school events and HE didn't want to. Agreed, he is GROWING up so fast. You have to remember, UNLIKE ALL THE OTHER CONTESTANTS, he also has to go to school for 3 full hours per day! Thats 15 hours LESS time per week to prepare and practice. This kid is SO Freaking unbelievable!

The earpiece is not to help him remember lyrics. Its so he can hear himself over the band and the audience. Thats all it is and he is not the only one wearing it. That first night he wore it, the only one who DIDN'T was Michael and the judges made the comment that he should have. All singers use them at concerts. Try to sing good if you can't hear yourself.....its hard. Any of them would be crazy NOT to wear an ear monitor.

And even if he did, I read up something that said they go to dances all the time, just as friends, and it is usually a group thing. This can include prom. Cool, in the camphone performance, he sang a song from 'Wicked' (A musical from broadway) I wonder if he'd seen it. The music from it is awesome. It's based on a novel based on the wizard of oz.
