  • gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

  • I sell the books.

  • very interesting work! :) do you keep them all when you are finished?

  • Does anyone know the name of the song ??

  • Fascinating. I like it a lot.

  • Really awesome work - but I'm curious, have you done anything to stabilize the paper? Dictionaries in particular have such thin pages, and I would think carving that would be incredibly difficult without at least gluing them together in 2s or 3s. (Love the fish!)

  • Amazing work! You've turned a mundane, mass-market and easily reproducable item into a one of a kind work of art. Who would complain about that?

  • wow. how many books have u gone through

  • who's the musician

  • Love your work! I like the idea that all you do is remove pages, not adding any text or anything. It means you have to really play with the book and decide what you'll do according to the specific character of each book.

Very inspired! Being an artist, and interested in altered books and artist books, I find your work a great source of inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

  • These are stunning. I don't think I've seen books altered this way before, and I love that you add nothing to them, only work with what's already there. How on earth you cut the pages so finely while leaving them loose, I'll never know. The multiple layers of the fish one are simply wonderful, and the fact that the fish already existed on the page is very clever. Bravo!

  • i love this im using the same i dea 4 one of my art pieces

  • are altered books considered as an artists book? im supposed to make an artist-made book for an art project and i was thinking if i could make one since i have a lot old books.

  • Just beautiful! Very inspiring!

  • i like it-- but a little repetitious. i think if you did some work inside the pages alongside it.

  • Beautiful work, Mark!

  • Wow! You really demonstrate the old adage, "If you can dream it, you can do it!"

These are spectacular examples of intricacy combining with persistence... so many delightful layers adding up to such beauty.

  • How in God's name??? You are too amazing. I won't even ask for a how-to because this is something only an artist can do. But I love watching your creations.

  • Wow! What a unique take on altered book art. Inspiring!

  • i think this is brilliant. thank you for making the world a more interesting place, just by being a book sculptor.

  • Freakin' fabulous.

  • Thanks for sharing, got inspired to cut out more than just simple squareshapes ... would love to see a video about the actual process of making it ..

    .. Milliande

  • they look great!
