Do you find the lag is consistent online? Because I find one match I'll parry perfectly, and others I'll have the exact same timing and it won't work.

i saw on the last clip you brought them down to the ground with the parry. Is this because you 1 hit KO'ed them? Was just wondering because i see this animation common with daggers but that may be the fact half the time they 1 hit you because of their insane crits. if you (or anyone) replies i would be much obliged.

@infernowolf3 It's an alternate riposte animation because he's wearing the Hornet's Ring... Which is funny because he wrote he doesn't wear it because he doesn't like killing opponents in one hit. :P I'm just teasing; the alternate animation does the damage in 2 steps, the majority of it after the enemy is on the ground. So if he died with only 88 damage, that wasn't the first hit.

Thanks for the video. I can parry anything PvE and almost never miss, but online I rarely get the timing right.

You seem to parry early, I try to parry online like I do offline, which is right as the weapon makes contact basically, (for some reason I am awesome at parrying normal enemies) I also only use my normal hand, never a shield, maybe a dagger or a katana once in awhile. So if you could respond, would there be a quick little thing you could tell me, so I am better with free hand parrying online. Thank you. ^-^

@Rion823 As i said in the video, online you have to parry about 0.5 seconds early. Watch the video a few times and notice the "parry windows" for each weapon i'm parrying.  When you figure those out, it will become like a reflex.

@damainmg Instead of complaining about unfair fights when you are summoned, why don't you go to an area where you can host (have not killed the boss & can be invaded). Most of the time you will only get ONE invader at a time, allowing for "fair" 1v1 fights. It's pretty simple.

WTF. How can you invade so much? The only way I can invade is if I hang around the undead church with the cat ring on. I can never invade any other way. The fog walls always show up(like when people invade) before I even get a chance to invade and 90% of the time no one even shows up to invade me. On top of that the game won't let me invade right away after fog walls disappear then the cycle of not being able to invade starts over again.

btw I think I'm the first guy you parry in the video.

Let's just be clear: Most of those who cry about "lag," are most likely the ones who lose a lot! Don't blame the game because you don't understand its mechanics. I used to cry "lag" with regards to backstabs until I finally learned how to do them. Once I learned, I realized that there was little to no lag, I just didn't understand the game's mechanics. @damainmg ...not because of lag it's because people don't know how to counter or defend against it. When people charge don't swing. They'll just poise right through it and backstab you. What you do is back up and circle toward them to counter or to backstab them. When in doubt DON'T SWING, just move back. This is just one of many example of what I mean by "stop crying and learn the system."

@damainmg Well, even if this does happen, if your totals wins outnumbered these rare occurences, who cares? LIke i said, most of the people who cry about lag have a record of loses that outnumber their wins. In my case this doesn't happen. In fact, I get more 3v1 campers, who i would say are more annoying, than I do cases of so-called "lag." So, to me, it is not a problem.

@jblackmel I guess i posted here that in Klin where is the best pvp by choice, i put red sign and they called me and they were 3, also i say im using swords not greatswords im more than straight and katanas, they were 3 and to be worst one was a Dragon, the other uses TWOP and WOTG hahahahahaha xD i feel satisified when they make TWOP they go to backstabbed you or hit u until dead glad, i got the host in a parry xD Yeah that happened 3 times, but i have a good shield and my lvl is ok

@damainmg sorry but you have not playing enough, both players can backstab at the same time simply because the position of you opponent is relevant and not what you actual see, hence the ghost range when you just circle around someone all they have to do is circle around you in the other way and they are in your back go watch phantomEWFG's tutorial

@PeevePeeverson So, basically for larger weapons, you parry right as they start the swing. But what about faster weapons like katanas? Do you have to parry before you even see the swing?

@AbyssalTorment58 Basically, yes. Notice, starting at 2:19 and ending at 2:33, i parry 3 katanas. The 1st two i lure him into a pattern by flipping at him and parrying as i come out of the flip, since i knew he would swing when i flipped towards him. The 3rd gets cut off by the scene transition, but he did an RT/R2 lunging attack, and i parry it a split second after he winds it up. You can 2nd swing parry katanas as the 1st swing cuts the ground, but i find predicting/luring fast weapons easier.

Tip for people having an fight with a pro parrier like Peeve: Whip can't be parried, fire whip +10/ lightning whip +5... gets the job done especially if he has the same armor as Peeve :P

yes this does work most of the time but the delays in attack can be different sometimes depending on ur opponents connections. its not 100% but still good to parry before the attack
