And Angel Six? Remember that this ''Angel" convinced Baltar to get a nuclear warhead that the Cylon Rape Six used to destroy a Colonial ship with thousands of people on it? And that this same "angel Six" got Baltar to win the election and settle on New Caprica?
She obviously wasn't meant to be an "angel" then. Baltar was probably being groomed to be a Cylon. They just didn't know what to do, and this is what we got.
No, no, no. You're forgetting something. That warhead was used to make Baltar's Cylon detector, which actually DID work. That was the purpose there. That is good divine leading.
And where was Cloud 9 when it blew up? In New Caprican orbit? That was a bad decision the Fleet made, and God was trying to tell them.
What you described actually points to Head Six being an angel. I used to think they were gearing Baltar to be a Cylon, but I came away from that in Season 3.
God you gotta hate Cavil, It was awesome when the Centurion mowed him down and his other ''Supporters'' on the episode when they decided to Lobotomize the raiders
Uh. Apparently, it wasn't. The Resurrection Hub was destroyed. But Friday's episode revealed that Cavil is still very much around. He orchestrated Boomer's plot to take Hera. That's the same Cavil. Nope. His basestar is still around. He's still alive and kickin'.
Well, the official word is that John (that one Cavil) keeps close eye on the Five bodies. So it's not just "special sealed rooms in basestars." Specifically, it's special sealed rooms in CAVIL'S basestar. Go figure. It's good that we finally had that question answered, and a few more, too.
Well, if can't be Romo, then I nominate a second SIX. Recall that in the first season, a second SIX was able to get onboard Galactica, implicate Baltar and cause problems for Adama and then leave without a trace. That SIX is not the same SIX who killed herself with the nuke.
It would fit the description: The final Cylon is not integrated within the fleet.
So, we have another SIX at large. Perhaps the 'origional SIX'?? Perhaps she was able to travel to Earth before Galactica??
Go back to the last episode of Season 4.0. In the opening minuites we see Lee Adama holding a book of scriptures with Opera House on Earth. There is nothing like that building here on Earth, currently.
I take this to mean that Galactica happened in the Past. Therefore, we are the human/cylon hybrids. The 5th Cylon: That lawyer guy who was the main attornery in Baltar's defense. The key quote 'the 5th is not integrated in the fleet'. That lawyer seemed to appear at will from nowhere.
The fact that we don't have a building like that currently may well mean it takes place in the FUTURE, as in we haven't built it yet. Just another way to look at it.
You're talking about Romo Lampkin. I like him an awful lot, but I believe he's a weak choice for the Fifth. Plus, remember it's someone we've known since Season One. Romo wouldn't count if that's it.
The producers will tell you that, no doubt. Its better than to say "Hey, we never thought this series would last past the screener or the first season or two". I truly hope you are correct and everything will have a seemless explanation in 4.5 yet I have big doubts this will be so and much will be left to "predestination" and such.
You place to much trust IMHO into the big scheme of things :-)
No, you're right. I do put a lot of trust in these guys. I do that because I know what Ron's done in the past. He worked on Star Trek: the Next Generation. I know what he's capable of putting together.
Plus, I know firsthand how much work producers can put into these things. It's easy to say "well, they pulled that out of thin air," when in fact, it was deliberated over several months. We have to stop thinking like consumers every once in a while.
Hehehehehe....told you they would make no freaking sense at all at the end. Angels, starbuck, lets be hippies crap and lets die from common flu, cholera or childbirth..who cares about technology?
Actually, I would disagree with you. I thought it did make sense. There's been a recurring divine element all throughout the show. Ron just chose to answer subtly rather than overt. The head characters and Kara were just manifestations of the divine plan leading humanity to its destiny. Or is it ultimate defeat? Has the cycle been broken, or will it begin anew?
In the initial season Galactica even attacked some asteroid base of the Cylon. I would think it stands to reason that the Cylon must have had some sort of planetary base from where to regroup and build up.
We see the Galactica folks going back several times to Caprica to find Cylons there running things and cleaning up. I do not believe they would have not left any sort of garrison back in the 12 colonies. Cylons are in no rush, they have the know-how to rebuild the hub. Why are they doomed?
Well, they are doomed for this reason. They have Resurrection Ships and such, but the Hub coordinates all the downloads. Without a Hub, if they're attacked, they're dead. So yes, they can rebuild it, but who's to stop anyone from attacking during the process? That's really the problem. Plus, there's a lot more division in the Cylon race now. Who's to say they could build a new Hub? It is tricky, but the show states it with certainty. We just have to trust that.
The initial seven knew about the existence of the final 5 although they were forbidden the discussion about them. Still..they go ahead and nuke humankind without a second thought. The fact that all the four survived in the starting positions they had when the attack came is just sheer miracle and takes away a bit IMHO from the whole storyline.
I also do not get why the destruction of the resurection hub has to be so momentuos. Cylons can just build a new one in their hidden homeland, no?
I don't think so at all. Ron is working on a very detailed plot here that involves both fate AND predestination. It can't just be chance. But you raise an interesting question about the Hub. I'd say this: how do we know the Cylons have a homeworld? The fact that there's little discussion of it tells me they don't. It looks like they are purely a space-base race, at least now. When they left the colonies, they may have settled a planet, but it's probably gone now.
I agree on the predestination premise, yet its a bit weird to see how important suddenly the five are when they were a non-issue up until season 3. Cylons could and would have nuked them many times without a second thought on the 12 colonies and the fleet. I believe this plotline was a recent adition wheras before I guess the idea was that the missing 5 were simply yet new cylons to be discovered amongst the Galactica crew as surprise effects.
What you're saying presents the main problem we run into when watching the series. Remember, you and I only see the external pieces. Ron and his crew see the internal workings. Thus, the Final Five plotline does seem it just came up in Season 3. But this is not so. The producers have stated that they were working on it since the end of Season 1. The time had to be right in the show to bring it out. No matter how you look it, the show is a well-crafted piece of art.
I just find the whole initial premise of having two of the last four cylons hanging around a decomissioning battlestar and not getting destroyed by pure chance a bit for a strech.
Forgive me, but the whole series has been just that. Not only do you have two out of the four, but THREE (Tigh, Anders, and Tyrol) hanging around a battlestar and not getting destroyed. But that's the model Ron is using right now. The Five are somehow able to survive. The Four were all on New Caprica, and none of them were killed (though Saul was tortured). It's not much of a stretch at all.
Tyrol went over that Viper and found it perfect in every way, basically out fresh out of the box. How can some earthbound people do an exact copy of a Galactica marked Viper in such a way Tyrol would find it flawless?
It can not be Thrace's father because on the 4.5 teaser the voice of Tigh clearly recognizes him/her
All in all I hope we will find some explanation as to why in the whole Cylon attack on humanity Galactica was a planned escape when everything was done to destroy her.
A lot of people are saying that, but it's pure speculation. It may be true, but it may well NOT be true, too. I doubt it myself. Now that Season 4 is half-over, I'm more convinced than ever that Kara is NOT a Cylon. I'll cover this in my next videos.
But in these videos, I wanted to stick with as much absolute fact as possible. There will be speculation, sure, but let's keep it as close to the series as possible.
But I have one questiopn, I am a big BSG fan from Norway, I have wached every episode, some more than twice, but there are two question nobody can answer. Why does caprica six and Gaius Baltar see eachother??
and how did baltar survive a nuclear blast??
the first question I think I have an answer for, it is just a theorie. and that is that it is a way to understand the complexety of the charakters, especialy Gaius, we will never know why, it is the authors way of explaining theire actions.
You're referring to Head Six. Good question. You're right. No one knows right now. But I think Head Six is not as important right now. Why? Because we've seen a lot more Head characters in the last two seasons. There was Head Leoben (Kara, in Maelstrom), Head Baltar, Head Carolanne (in Adama's head), and Head Elosha (in Roslin's head on the baseship). It's a good question, but a question that I feel has been delineated to more characters than just Baltar now.
Absoutely. It's not a very strange idea at all. If the Fifth is a character who has died, then certainly she's in. I don't include characters like that, because I'm still holding on to hope that it's a character we still know and is still around.
I've been contemplating the scriptures, "this has all happened before, and will all happen again." Does that mean that the humanity has already been infiltrated with a little bit of cylon blood? Considering Hera and Chief Tyerol's Son, it proves that with love, comes hybrid's... So if it's all happened before and is happening again, wouldn't that mean there are already descendant's of cylon/hybrids already in the fleet?
I don't think it means literally - just that the general events have happened before, but the players are different and the circumstances were different. (i.e. it just happens that this time around one of the players is a race of robots.)
In my own speculation, I have taken into account several things, including what you have stated, but also things revealed in Season 4. The main two are:
1. We know the character, or at least, of the character, from Ron Moore's statements.
2. The character is not in the fleet, taking literally D'Anna's statement.
From this, I have come to the conclusion that it is a character who has died, but who was significant at one time, my chief suspect currently - Billy Keikeiya.
Now, I know that so far, only the Seven have demonstrated the ability to resurrect, and you point out that the Seven would not have resurrection ships built for the Final Five. However, this does not preclude resurrection at another, unknown facility, perhaps on Earth itself, or at another location. Other characters which can be looked at in this light include people such as Helena Cain (character was based on a TOS character, meaning she could have been planned from series beginning),
3. The Fifth is on the baseship. That might bring Roslin and Baltar back into speculation.
4. D'anna might now be entirely truthful. This is D'anna we're talking about. If withholding this information can give her advantage, she will take it.
I'll tell you who I lean toward in the next video. I really hope it's not a dead character, myself. For me, that would take a lot of the wonder out of it.
What about Cally? It's not often that you kill off a main character.
Plus, their baby. No one seems to be making a big deal out of it, but it's one of the only two cylon-human babies. OR...maybe it's the first cylon-cylon offspring :O
Personally, I doubt it, and I really hope not. I really don't believe it's somebody dead. I think it's still someone we know that is still around (yes, I know about D'anna's statement - there's more than one way to look at it). I think Cally's just a regular girl, but you never really know, do you?
Leoben once told Roslin that Adama was a cylon in the episode "Flesh and Blood". We know the male Adamas are not cylons but!!! Dualla's last name while married to Lee was also Adama.
Moore has already said that hints have been dropped and it is possible to figure it out.
I think Kara's destiny has been engineered by the Final Cylon and that he left her with the Colonials to bring them to Earth. He is the original programmer that created the other Cylons. He wrote The Music and wired it into the Final Four.
I'm leaning heavily toward Kara's father being the Final Cylon and her being a human/Cylon like Hera.
I think Kara genuinely died in the Maelstrom and resurrected on Earth or with the 13th tribe. They built her a new Viper and sent her back.
You mentioned Dualla's last name. What about her first name? Anastasia: the missing Russian princess, possible lone survivor of an attack against her entire family. Significance?
For ages I was convinced Dualla was the Final Cylon, but now I'm not so sure. Considering D'Anna says that he/she is not in the Fleet narrows the possibilities considerably - if he/she isn't in the Fleet and not with the Cylons that just leaves one place - Earth.
My theory now is that the Final Cylon is either on Earth and is in fact Kara's father. The guy was a musician - ie The Music. Kara's mother always knew she was special, why? - because she knew the truth about her father.
On another blog, they were looking at the first hybrid's statements and something was said to the effect about a "yell of great pain". Bill Adama unloaded such a yell in Revelations. Does that mean anything? And which Adama are we missing? If we look at the first series, there's a sister. But, I thought she was written out for this series. And didn't somebody say "we are very familiar" with this character?
Again. It's all about interpretation. At this point, there are about a dozen people who could fit the Hybrid's statements. It all depends on how you look at it. A number of characters have yelled in great pain.
I do believe it's someone we're familiar with, but familiar in what sense? Is it someone we've seen, or just someone we know about?
Your question demonstrates clearly that there's an Adama we've all overlooked. And that Adama is: Joseph (Bill's father).
I think that's impossible. Yes, I've seen Razor. You are assuming one interpretation as correct. There are other ways to look at things.
But remember, the Adama family is well established. If it's Bill, they'd have to do some switched at birth scenario. That would be incredibly lame and I think below Ron.
But there is one Adama we haven't considered yet (no, it's not Zak).
Info....in the episode revelations, deanna states that only four of the final five are in the fleet. she is on the rebel base star with roslin, adama, baltar and helo. I think I got all of them. SO, with the exception of zak, who is supposedly dead, we are down to four possible major characters being the final one. spock said, eliminate all the obvious and whatever remains, however unlikely, is the answer. what do you think?
Info: I know that already. Why don't you read previous comments, and check the date of addition on this video before you say something like that. You are of course assuming her statement meant that. I mention in previous comments that her statement could be correct, and the Final Cylon still be in the Fleet.
My first choice would be Zak, but having just watched the episode "tigh me up tigh me down" i think there's an outside chance that its Ellen Tigh. After all, why did Baltar give Adama a bogus test result on her blood, and why is Six so delighte when Baltar says "I'll never tell"??? It also explains the hybrid talking about the one seeking forgiveness, crawling from the shadows.
If there has been a nuclear disaster/war - then it looks like it happened along time ago judging from the state of the ruins. If the soil is contaminated then the Fleet can't settle it. One hell of a narrative hole the writers have dug themselves.
I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if we never meet a member of the 13th Tribe - and they are revealed either to have died out or moved on. RDM has said several times that the viewer's imagination can never be satisfied onscreen.
My thoughts are, barring the series taking place in a completely alternate history, that the series is set in the future, maybe no more than a few decades to a hundred years. The fact that the soil is radioactive and the advanced nature of the destroyed city (some say New York, but I'm not convinced) suggests either a nuclear war or disaster.
But who built Kara a new Viper? She didn't 'MacGyver' one on the beach. Someone built it for her...
SPOILER. I thin Sin Non Qua has further convinced me that Romo is the Final Cylon. Besides being a clever play on RDM's name - we now know what his "guilt" is over. Also, he is judging humanity based on a murdered magical cat named Lance. The episode was too weird - Kara acting totally normal while most of the major characters were going over the edge. Romo has always been my guess and the evidence is piling high.
Well you've got something to look forward to... excellent episode and different from any we've seen before. Not a lot of action but pure gold none the less.
There's a scene between Adama and Tigh that is just perfect, but I would predominantly describe this as a Lee episode. You'll never guess what Lee's real name is! LOL
I heard some people say that the final cylon is the actual Galacitca.
And although it sounds crazy think about it, it's been around since the miniseries obviously lol, Tigh heard the music coming from the ship in the last ep of season 3, it seemed to shut down in the nebula taking everything else with it.
It also locked Tyrol and Cally in the airlock if I recall, plus many other things.
Very unlikely, but can't rule out as a possibility.
New theory on Final Cylon that no one has addressed - what about Baltar's top alcolyte groupie. She did woop some serious butt in the bathroom. Technically anyone who is with the fleet has been there all along - is RDM yanking our chatn.
So what are everyone's feelings on the Tigh/Six developments from last episode? Where the hell is that going to go? Talk about sleeping with the enemy! I saw a spoiler photo from episode 412 and they seem to be getting quite comfortable with one another. Do you think Six senses something different about him?
As an afterthought - Tigh, you sly old dog!! All you need now is some candles and a little Barry White and you'll be on easy street!
He's not quiet there yet - but he's gradually becoming more comfortable around her. She certainly seems to have a lot of empathy for him.
It was remarkable last episode how many human characters refer to different Cylons as "he" or "she" or "woman", even Adama - stark contrast to how they usually refer to them as "it" or "thing".
Out of curiosity I asked my 9 year old how he thought it would end. He thinks that the Earth will be abandoned and not what the Colonials want, they will drop off the troublesome monotheists (humans and Cylons), and the rest will move on to form the new 12 tribes. He is far more focused on the whole it will happen again rather than the Final 5. That will let the story end and not end. To be honest, I think his speculation is as good as any adults I have read.
It's all still up in the air as to how the story will end, but I'd agree that Earth will not be what the Colonials or Cylons had hoped for. I've heard that when they reach it things start getting seriously weird.
Just watched "The Ties That Bind". Did anyone notice the constellation of Orion in the background during the battle of the baseships? Strikes me as a very subtle reference to Blade Runner.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion." - Roy Batty.
You can also just see part of Orion when Cally looks out of the window of the launch tube. Astonomically this must mean that both fleets are almost on top of Earth as the constellation appears identical to the way it looks in our night sky. It's just a matter of mathematics - they might be in the right general area but there are still hundreds, if not thousands, of star-systems. It would take decades to search each one - no wonder Kara's having a tough time.
We should put our faith in Ron - he's led us this far and hasn't steered us wrong. He won't disappoint. Not the hardcore fans anyway, and they are all that matter now.
Apparently, Kara, the Colonials and Cylons are all in for some big shocks when they reach Earth! Think M. Night Shyamalan twist! If anything, when I heard it, it made everything even more mysterious and confusing.
Kara has quiet a few memories and fond feelings for her father. I think he was probably around for a few years when she was a baby. Probably showed her the mandela symbol. It feels to me as though her whole existence has an engineered purpose and that he left kara behind because the Colonials would need her.
Mind you - if you were married to that b**** you'd leave the planet too.
It wouldn't be the first time the writers screwed up an astrnomical detail (Lagoon Nebular).
I'm thinking that Kara's father visited the Twelve Colonies, had Kara with her mother, then left to go home at some point. Kara's feelings about Earth are more genetic than from specific memories. If her mother knew her father's origins then it would explain why she always knew Kara was 'special'.
Dualla is the only character that has really kept her cool throughout everything - as though she's sitting back and watching this all happen around her and helping out where she can. She has drastically affected the fate of humanity several times when talking to an Adama ("Home" "Exodus") - makes me wonder.
Bottom line, Dualla is probably the most mysterious character on the show - we don't really know much about her, she has no relatives and no one to corroborate her past.
That's been in the back of my mind as well - all I can think is that the Beings of Light in the new series are probably the Thirteenth Tribe - Ron Moore has said on several occations that our current technological level is more advanced in some respects to the Colonials - if BSG is set in the future then we could be much more advanced than them.
Been rewatching season 2. Head-Six tells Baltar at the end of "Home" about 'the end of the human race.' Perhaps she doesn't mean its extermination - but rather its transformation by way of cross-breeding with Cylons.
My theory is that the Colonials and what remains of the Cylons after their civil war come together with whatever remains of humanity on Earth and begin a new race of people.
Man and machine depend on one another to survive - in this case it is taken to its most extreme.
I just figured out the most obvious evidence that Dualla is one of the Final Five - Kandyce McClure is the only actress hot enough who isn't already a Cylon!
It's the eyes. She'll get plenty of credit soon enough. I'm wondering if the final Cylon knows they are a Cylon or not - because they haven't been revealed yet makes me think they are different from both the Final Five and the Significant Seven.
On a related matter, I watched the British trailer for BSG last night. Holy frak! The civil war seriously heats up in the next few episodes - never seen so many basestars on screen at the same time, or kicking the crap out of each other.
Yep. It's a lot of division in the Cylon world. It's ironic really. The dispute is over removing key circuits from Raiders. So the other Cylons give Centurions reason. The Centurions rebel against three Cylon models. Irony? Oh yeah. The Humanoid Cylon models are now just as human as the humans they mimic.
I'm curious as to our thoughts on Kara. If she's not a Cylon then what - a clone? She's definitely been through some sort of change, but what exactly? She's always held a strange fascination for some of the Cylons - does this mean that maybe her father is the Final Cylon and she is a hybrid? Or maybe her father is their original programmer?
Possibly this, possibly that. There are really several options. I mentioned in part one that some individuals have a destiny all their own. Kara has a role to play in the path of humanity. Therefore, she's probably not a Cylon. She has another path. But of course, she could be anything at this point.
Time will tell I guess. I just hope they don't show the second half of season 4 next year.
I'm convinced now that Dualla is the Final Cylon, that Lee is going to become president, and that Kara's father is from Earth. Interesting that in 4.02 she said that Earth felt familiar and that it was as though she had been there before.
Is it just me, or in the last episode did anyone get the feeling that Lee and Kara won't see one another again? The scene in her cell had a sense of finality to it.
I don't think so, but I'd love to hear how you came to that conclusion. As I mentioned above, the Adama family line is well established. That makes Cylon possibilities there very unlikely without a switched-at-birth scenario.
I really do not have a definite reason as to how Zak could be a cylon. I have just noticed they have had references to him in both episodes this season. I do not think Dualla or Gaeta would be shocking enough. I personally would hate the ending if Zak Adama. I just think he could be considered a big character without actually being a big character...if that makes sense. All the main characters are in the last supper pic. That is really my reasoning...a lack of reasoning. So mainly an idea..yeah!
I agree--Baltar and Starbuck are doubtedly cylons. The person who plays Starbuck has admitted twice that she has been told she isn't a cylon. I think like some of the characters have stated, 'It could be a miracle.' I think the figure he sees is a representation of God, since Six see's Baltar in his head. Roslin does play an important role in the ending of BSG and getting to Earth. But I don't think she is, since Tory feels inclined to aide by Roslin at this point.
I'd agree with most, if not all, of your analysis. The fact that the empty seat at the Last Supper is next to Apollo makes me think it could be someone who is close to Lee - possibly Dualla or Lampkin.
Dualla gets my vote as there is just enough evidence yet an air of mystery about her. Also, if we are honest, we know exceeding little about Dualla except the most abstract of details, nothing that specific.
It may be coincidental but Anastasia means "resurrection" in Greek.
Yeah, I'm inclined to say Dualla myself. Actually, I had a whole point in this video that greatly argued for it. I had to cut the entire thing because my facts were incorrect. I do think the final cylon is female, and my money's on Dualla, too.
Thanks for the comment about her name. I did not know that.
I heard that "Dualla" is phonetically very similar to a word in Sanskrit which means "Twelve".
The more I look into her character the more alarm bells I hear. Nothing we know about her can really be verified and she rarely opens up about anything, and when she does she still doesn't tell us much.
That's it, I've convinced myself - she's a Cylon!

I can't wait for the last epsiodes to begin. The truth shall be revealed, starting in less than 48 hours.
Trapster99 3 years ago
Now, after watching the 'clues' on the BSG main site, I am thinking it's Mr. Gaeta.
Felix, playing both sides, Baltar knows his secret and who put that bit of Cylon technology in the CIC in the mini-series when the war began??
Trapster99 3 years ago
I think that's still likely.

I don't believe any of the Cylons we've already seen can possibly by the Fifth. Sorry. I don't think so, regardless of the clues you've mentioned.
I cover the D'Anna statement in part 3. She didn't say "The final Cylon is not integrated within the fleet."
trueedge2097 3 years ago

The fact that we don't have a building like that currently may well mean it takes place in the FUTURE, as in we haven't built it yet. Just another way to look at it.
You're talking about Romo Lampkin. I like him an awful lot, but I believe he's a weak choice for the Fifth. Plus, remember it's someone we've known since Season One. Romo wouldn't count if that's it.

hey but how did baltar escape from the explosion? i mean what, did six just shield him?
honestly i dont think that baltar is a cylon but this should be the first thing that would make you wonder...

We have to stop thinking like consumers every once in a while.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Hehehehehe....told you they would make no freaking sense at all at the end. Angels, starbuck, lets be hippies crap and lets die from common flu, cholera or childbirth..who cares about technology?
ebusitanus 3 years ago
Actually, I would disagree with you. I thought it did make sense. There's been a recurring divine element all throughout the show. Ron just chose to answer subtly rather than overt. The head characters and Kara were just manifestations of the divine plan leading humanity to its destiny. Or is it ultimate defeat? Has the cycle been broken, or will it begin anew?
trueedge2097 3 years ago
In the initial season Galactica even attacked some asteroid base of the Cylon. I would think it stands to reason that the Cylon must have had some sort of planetary base from where to regroup and build up.
We see the Galactica folks going back several times to Caprica to find Cylons there running things and cleaning up. I do not believe they would have not left any sort of garrison back in the 12 colonies. Cylons are in no rush, they have the know-how to rebuild the hub. Why are they doomed?
ebusitanus 3 years ago
Well, they are doomed for this reason. They have Resurrection Ships and such, but the Hub coordinates all the downloads. Without a Hub, if they're attacked, they're dead. So yes, they can rebuild it, but who's to stop anyone from attacking during the process? That's really the problem. Plus, there's a lot more division in the Cylon race now. Who's to say they could build a new Hub? It is tricky, but the show states it with certainty. We just have to trust that.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
The initial seven knew about the existence of the final 5 although they were forbidden the discussion about them. Still..they go ahead and nuke humankind without a second thought. The fact that all the four survived in the starting positions they had when the attack came is just sheer miracle and takes away a bit IMHO from the whole storyline.
I also do not get why the destruction of the resurection hub has to be so momentuos. Cylons can just build a new one in their hidden homeland, no?
ebusitanus 3 years ago
I don't think so at all. Ron is working on a very detailed plot here that involves both fate AND predestination. It can't just be chance. But you raise an interesting question about the Hub. I'd say this: how do we know the Cylons have a homeworld? The fact that there's little discussion of it tells me they don't. It looks like they are purely a space-base race, at least now. When they left the colonies, they may have settled a planet, but it's probably gone now.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I agree on the predestination premise, yet its a bit weird to see how important suddenly the five are when they were a non-issue up until season 3. Cylons could and would have nuked them many times without a second thought on the 12 colonies and the fleet. I believe this plotline was a recent adition wheras before I guess the idea was that the missing 5 were simply yet new cylons to be discovered amongst the Galactica crew as surprise effects.
ebusitanus 3 years ago
What you're saying presents the main problem we run into when watching the series. Remember, you and I only see the external pieces. Ron and his crew see the internal workings. Thus, the Final Five plotline does seem it just came up in Season 3. But this is not so. The producers have stated that they were working on it since the end of Season 1. The time had to be right in the show to bring it out. No matter how you look it, the show is a well-crafted piece of art.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I just find the whole initial premise of having two of the last four cylons hanging around a decomissioning battlestar and not getting destroyed by pure chance a bit for a strech.
ebusitanus 3 years ago
Forgive me, but the whole series has been just that. Not only do you have two out of the four, but THREE (Tigh, Anders, and Tyrol) hanging around a battlestar and not getting destroyed. But that's the model Ron is using right now. The Five are somehow able to survive. The Four were all on New Caprica, and none of them were killed (though Saul was tortured). It's not much of a stretch at all.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Tyrol went over that Viper and found it perfect in every way, basically out fresh out of the box. How can some earthbound people do an exact copy of a Galactica marked Viper in such a way Tyrol would find it flawless?
It can not be Thrace's father because on the 4.5 teaser the voice of Tigh clearly recognizes him/her
All in all I hope we will find some explanation as to why in the whole Cylon attack on humanity Galactica was a planned escape when everything was done to destroy her.
ebusitanus 3 years ago
wow?? have I missed anything, was galicta planned?? And destroy who?? When do you hear anything from karas father??
norsknerd 3 years ago
Thrace's stockpile of models is on earth!!
when she was killed, she resurected on earth flying home in a viper from the 13. tribe.
norsknerd 3 years ago
A lot of people are saying that, but it's pure speculation. It may be true, but it may well NOT be true, too. I doubt it myself. Now that Season 4 is half-over, I'm more convinced than ever that Kara is NOT a Cylon. I'll cover this in my next videos.
But in these videos, I wanted to stick with as much absolute fact as possible. There will be speculation, sure, but let's keep it as close to the series as possible.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
But I have one questiopn, I am a big BSG fan from Norway, I have wached every episode, some more than twice, but there are two question nobody can answer. Why does caprica six and Gaius Baltar see eachother??
and how did baltar survive a nuclear blast??
the first question I think I have an answer for, it is just a theorie. and that is that it is a way to understand the complexety of the charakters, especialy Gaius, we will never know why, it is the authors way of explaining theire actions.
norsknerd 3 years ago
You're referring to Head Six. Good question. You're right. No one knows right now. But I think Head Six is not as important right now. Why? Because we've seen a lot more Head characters in the last two seasons. There was Head Leoben (Kara, in Maelstrom), Head Baltar, Head Carolanne (in Adama's head), and Head Elosha (in Roslin's head on the baseship). It's a good question, but a question that I feel has been delineated to more characters than just Baltar now.

Strange idea from me but would Saul Tigh's wife Ellen Tigh be a possible candidate?
Spacefrisian 3 years ago
Absoutely. It's not a very strange idea at all. If the Fifth is a character who has died, then certainly she's in. I don't include characters like that, because I'm still holding on to hope that it's a character we still know and is still around.
But that very well may not be the case.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I've been contemplating the scriptures, "this has all happened before, and will all happen again." Does that mean that the humanity has already been infiltrated with a little bit of cylon blood? Considering Hera and Chief Tyerol's Son, it proves that with love, comes hybrid's... So if it's all happened before and is happening again, wouldn't that mean there are already descendant's of cylon/hybrids already in the fleet?
fennikusu11 3 years ago
I don't think it means literally - just that the general events have happened before, but the players are different and the circumstances were different. (i.e. it just happens that this time around one of the players is a race of robots.)
richiebabe24 3 years ago
In my own speculation, I have taken into account several things, including what you have stated, but also things revealed in Season 4. The main two are:
1. We know the character, or at least, of the character, from Ron Moore's statements.
2. The character is not in the fleet, taking literally D'Anna's statement.
From this, I have come to the conclusion that it is a character who has died, but who was significant at one time, my chief suspect currently - Billy Keikeiya.
Elessar267 3 years ago
Now, I know that so far, only the Seven have demonstrated the ability to resurrect, and you point out that the Seven would not have resurrection ships built for the Final Five. However, this does not preclude resurrection at another, unknown facility, perhaps on Earth itself, or at another location. Other characters which can be looked at in this light include people such as Helena Cain (character was based on a TOS character, meaning she could have been planned from series beginning),
Elessar267 3 years ago
and others would possibly include Louanne Katraine (introduced very early in the series, though not from start).
However, at present, I think Billy Keikeiya is the most likely suspect.
Elessar267 3 years ago
Now that was an interesting post. I'm about to release another video, so stay tuned. It'll have a lot of good stuff in it.
It is certainly possible that the Fifth is a character who died, but think about this, too. D'anna statement can be taken other ways.
1. She only said "Four. Four are in the Fleet." Not the "Fifth is not in the Fleet." It's possible she was just drawing out the Four right now.
2. If the Fifth has not been activated, she may not have sensed it. Revealing it wouldn't help.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Or how about this?
For me, that would take a lot of the wonder out of it.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
What about Cally? It's not often that you kill off a main character.
Plus, their baby. No one seems to be making a big deal out of it, but it's one of the only two cylon-human babies. OR...maybe it's the first cylon-cylon offspring :O
BRRF 3 years ago
Personally, I doubt it, and I really hope not. I really don't believe it's somebody dead. I think it's still someone we know that is still around (yes, I know about D'anna's statement - there's more than one way to look at it). I think Cally's just a regular girl, but you never really know, do you?
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Leoben once told Roslin that Adama was a cylon in the episode "Flesh and Blood". We know the male Adamas are not cylons but!!! Dualla's last name while married to Lee was also Adama.
Moore has already said that hints have been dropped and it is possible to figure it out.
drug 3 years ago
omg That's such a good point. And I wonder if listening to that music caused her to create those paintings.
ArtemisMS 3 years ago
I think Kara's destiny has been engineered by the Final Cylon and that he left her with the Colonials to bring them to Earth. He is the original programmer that created the other Cylons. He wrote The Music and wired it into the Final Four.
I'm leaning heavily toward Kara's father being the Final Cylon and her being a human/Cylon like Hera.
I think Kara genuinely died in the Maelstrom and resurrected on Earth or with the 13th tribe. They built her a new Viper and sent her back.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
You mentioned Dualla's last name. What about her first name? Anastasia: the missing Russian princess, possible lone survivor of an attack against her entire family. Significance?
ArtemisMS 3 years ago
For ages I was convinced Dualla was the Final Cylon, but now I'm not so sure. Considering D'Anna says that he/she is not in the Fleet narrows the possibilities considerably - if he/she isn't in the Fleet and not with the Cylons that just leaves one place - Earth.
My theory now is that the Final Cylon is either on Earth and is in fact Kara's father. The guy was a musician - ie The Music. Kara's mother always knew she was special, why? - because she knew the truth about her father.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
On another blog, they were looking at the first hybrid's statements and something was said to the effect about a "yell of great pain". Bill Adama unloaded such a yell in Revelations. Does that mean anything? And which Adama are we missing? If we look at the first series, there's a sister. But, I thought she was written out for this series. And didn't somebody say "we are very familiar" with this character?
swoganrich 3 years ago
And that Adama is: Joseph (Bill's father).
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I think that's impossible. Yes, I've seen Razor. You are assuming one interpretation as correct. There are other ways to look at things.
But remember, the Adama family is well established. If it's Bill, they'd have to do some switched at birth scenario. That would be incredibly lame and I think below Ron.
But there is one Adama we haven't considered yet (no, it's not Zak).
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I stand corrected. i just finished reading all the comments.
swoganrich 3 years ago
Info....in the episode revelations, deanna states that only four of the final five are in the fleet. she is on the rebel base star with roslin, adama, baltar and helo. I think I got all of them. SO, with the exception of zak, who is supposedly dead, we are down to four possible major characters being the final one. spock said, eliminate all the obvious and whatever remains, however unlikely, is the answer. what do you think?
swoganrich 3 years ago
Info: I know that already. Why don't you read previous comments, and check the date of addition on this video before you say something like that. You are of course assuming her statement meant that. I mention in previous comments that her statement could be correct, and the Final Cylon still be in the Fleet.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
My first choice would be Zak, but having just watched the episode "tigh me up tigh me down" i think there's an outside chance that its Ellen Tigh. After all, why did Baltar give Adama a bogus test result on her blood, and why is Six so delighte when Baltar says "I'll never tell"??? It also explains the hybrid talking about the one seeking forgiveness, crawling from the shadows.
cloverfield911 3 years ago
OH FRAK!! Just watched "Revelations" - they're in some serious s##t now! What the hell are they going to do? What happened to Earth?
D'Anna seems to think that the Final Cylon isn't among the Fleet - so where the hell is he/she?
Got to hand it to RDM - he knows how to do a cliffhanger!
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Craptastically amazing episode.
But D'Anna's comment can be interpreted several ways. Either:
1. The last Cylon was on the baseship.
2. She saw the Five, but only really noticed four faces in the Temple.
3. The last Cylon hasn't been activated yet. Thus, D'Anna, even though she knows its identity, isn't in contact with it.
Lots of good stuff at this point. So much information. Another video from me, anyone?
trueedge2097 3 years ago
If there has been a nuclear disaster/war - then it looks like it happened along time ago judging from the state of the ruins. If the soil is contaminated then the Fleet can't settle it. One hell of a narrative hole the writers have dug themselves.
I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if we never meet a member of the 13th Tribe - and they are revealed either to have died out or moved on. RDM has said several times that the viewer's imagination can never be satisfied onscreen.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Yeah, it's pretty clear whatever happened on Earth happened a long time ago. It's going to be interesting to see how all that pans out.
I could tell you my thoughts on the 13th Tribe, and what became of them, but I might save that for a future video.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I would like to see another video analysis.
Someone built it for her...
richiebabe24 3 years ago
I hope RDM explains why the final cylon didn't come forth when Tigh, Tyrol, Tory, and Anders all gathered at the end of season 3
PsychoDelicCinema 3 years ago
Riverdale10 3 years ago
Yeah, Kara was remarkably stable and level-headed throughout the whole episode.
I'm still not sold on Romo being a Cylon though - he's just a very interesting human. Nice to see more of his humanity in this episode.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Just saw "Sine Qua Non" - talk about a shake-up!! EVERYTHING is about to change. That was the best episode of Galactica I've seen since Crossroads!
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Cool. How did you manage that? It hasn't aired here in the US yet.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I live in Britain. We're going to get the rest of season 4.0 about three days before the US.
Why was there a break in your programming?
richiebabe24 3 years ago
That's cool. I should move to the UK. Rule Brittania!
We had a break for Memorial Day. Don't know why. Holidays don't usually interrupt broadcasts. But Sci-Fi Channel wanted to be crazy this year.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Well you've got something to look forward to... excellent episode and different from any we've seen before. Not a lot of action but pure gold none the less.
There's a scene between Adama and Tigh that is just perfect, but I would predominantly describe this as a Lee episode. You'll never guess what Lee's real name is! LOL

impossibility I mean
EnglanderUK 3 years ago
I heard some people say that the final cylon is the actual Galacitca.
And although it sounds crazy think about it, it's been around since the miniseries obviously lol, Tigh heard the music coming from the ship in the last ep of season 3, it seemed to shut down in the nebula taking everything else with it.
It also locked Tyrol and Cally in the airlock if I recall, plus many other things.
Very unlikely, but can't rule out as a possibility.
EnglanderUK 3 years ago
New theory on Final Cylon that no one has addressed - what about Baltar's top alcolyte groupie. She did woop some serious butt in the bathroom. Technically anyone who is with the fleet has been there all along - is RDM yanking our chatn.
Riverdale10 3 years ago
RDM said that the Final Cylon was someone we were very familiar with and hinted they had been a character on the show since the mini-series.
Trust me on this - it's Dualla.
richiebabe24 3 years ago 2
So what are everyone's feelings on the Tigh/Six developments from last episode? Where the hell is that going to go? Talk about sleeping with the enemy! I saw a spoiler photo from episode 412 and they seem to be getting quite comfortable with one another. Do you think Six senses something different about him?
As an afterthought - Tigh, you sly old dog!! All you need now is some candles and a little Barry White and you'll be on easy street!
richiebabe24 3 years ago
I'd love to hear Michael Hogan say "Can't get enough of your love, babe."
LOL!
trueedge2097 3 years ago
He's not quiet there yet - but he's gradually becoming more comfortable around her. She certainly seems to have a lot of empathy for him.
It was remarkable last episode how many human characters refer to different Cylons as "he" or "she" or "woman", even Adama - stark contrast to how they usually refer to them as "it" or "thing".
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Actually it's spelt LAURA Roslin. Imagine if you were a 30 year-old who could spell - the world would be your oyster.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Out of curiosity I asked my 9 year old how he thought it would end. He thinks that the Earth will be abandoned and not what the Colonials want, they will drop off the troublesome monotheists (humans and Cylons), and the rest will move on to form the new 12 tribes. He is far more focused on the whole it will happen again rather than the Final 5. That will let the story end and not end. To be honest, I think his speculation is as good as any adults I have read.
Final Cylon: Dualla or Gaeta
Riverdale10 3 years ago
It's all still up in the air as to how the story will end, but I'd agree that Earth will not be what the Colonials or Cylons had hoped for. I've heard that when they reach it things start getting seriously weird.
I'm convinced that Dualla is the Final Cylon.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Just watched "The Ties That Bind". Did anyone notice the constellation of Orion in the background during the battle of the baseships? Strikes me as a very subtle reference to Blade Runner.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion." - Roy Batty.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
I think it's a lot more significant than that. It means the Cylons are closer to Earth than anyone right now (that we know of).
But the Blade Runner reference is undeniable. Good job.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
You can also just see part of Orion when Cally looks out of the window of the launch tube. Astonomically this must mean that both fleets are almost on top of Earth as the constellation appears identical to the way it looks in our night sky. It's just a matter of mathematics - they might be in the right general area but there are still hundreds, if not thousands, of star-systems. It would take decades to search each one - no wonder Kara's having a tough time.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
I caught that. It was interesting.
YunsAvatar 3 years ago
We should put our faith in Ron - he's led us this far and hasn't steered us wrong. He won't disappoint. Not the hardcore fans anyway, and they are all that matter now.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Apparently, Kara, the Colonials and Cylons are all in for some big shocks when they reach Earth! Think M. Night Shyamalan twist! If anything, when I heard it, it made everything even more mysterious and confusing.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Kara has quiet a few memories and fond feelings for her father. I think he was probably around for a few years when she was a baby. Probably showed her the mandela symbol. It feels to me as though her whole existence has an engineered purpose and that he left kara behind because the Colonials would need her.
Mind you - if you were married to that b**** you'd leave the planet too.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
It wouldn't be the first time the writers screwed up an astrnomical detail (Lagoon Nebular).
I'm thinking that Kara's father visited the Twelve Colonies, had Kara with her mother, then left to go home at some point. Kara's feelings about Earth are more genetic than from specific memories. If her mother knew her father's origins then it would explain why she always knew Kara was 'special'.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Dualla is the only character that has really kept her cool throughout everything - as though she's sitting back and watching this all happen around her and helping out where she can. She has drastically affected the fate of humanity several times when talking to an Adama ("Home" "Exodus") - makes me wonder.
Bottom line, Dualla is probably the most mysterious character on the show - we don't really know much about her, she has no relatives and no one to corroborate her past.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
That's been in the back of my mind as well - all I can think is that the Beings of Light in the new series are probably the Thirteenth Tribe - Ron Moore has said on several occations that our current technological level is more advanced in some respects to the Colonials - if BSG is set in the future then we could be much more advanced than them.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Been rewatching season 2. Head-Six tells Baltar at the end of "Home" about 'the end of the human race.' Perhaps she doesn't mean its extermination - but rather its transformation by way of cross-breeding with Cylons.
My theory is that the Colonials and what remains of the Cylons after their civil war come together with whatever remains of humanity on Earth and begin a new race of people.
Man and machine depend on one another to survive - in this case it is taken to its most extreme.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
I just figured out the most obvious evidence that Dualla is one of the Final Five - Kandyce McClure is the only actress hot enough who isn't already a Cylon!
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Seriously, that girl is fine! She's been one of my favorites on the show for a long time. I almost feel she doesn't get the credit she deserves.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
It's the eyes. She'll get plenty of credit soon enough. I'm wondering if the final Cylon knows they are a Cylon or not - because they haven't been revealed yet makes me think they are different from both the Final Five and the Significant Seven.
On a related matter, I watched the British trailer for BSG last night. Holy frak! The civil war seriously heats up in the next few episodes - never seen so many basestars on screen at the same time, or kicking the crap out of each other.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
This Season is going to be great.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I'm curious as to our thoughts on Kara. If she's not a Cylon then what - a clone? She's definitely been through some sort of change, but what exactly? She's always held a strange fascination for some of the Cylons - does this mean that maybe her father is the Final Cylon and she is a hybrid? Or maybe her father is their original programmer?
Just thinking out loud.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
Possibly this, possibly that. There are really several options. I mentioned in part one that some individuals have a destiny all their own. Kara has a role to play in the path of humanity. Therefore, she's probably not a Cylon. She has another path. But of course, she could be anything at this point.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Time will tell I guess. I just hope they don't show the second half of season 4 next year.
I'm convinced now that Dualla is the Final Cylon, that Lee is going to become president, and that Kara's father is from Earth. Interesting that in 4.02 she said that Earth felt familiar and that it was as though she had been there before.
Is it just me, or in the last episode did anyone get the feeling that Lee and Kara won't see one another again? The scene in her cell had a sense of finality to it.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
That scene was very sad, I thought. Parting of the ways and such.
I think Lee will be president, too. I'm actually looking forward to that.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
Seems like the show is hinting toward Zak Adama.
wilted 3 years ago
I don't think so, but I'd love to hear how you came to that conclusion. As I mentioned above, the Adama family line is well established. That makes Cylon possibilities there very unlikely without a switched-at-birth scenario.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I really do not have a definite reason as to how Zak could be a cylon. I have just noticed they have had references to him in both episodes this season. I do not think Dualla or Gaeta would be shocking enough. I personally would hate the ending if Zak Adama. I just think he could be considered a big character without actually being a big character...if that makes sense. All the main characters are in the last supper pic. That is really my reasoning...a lack of reasoning. So mainly an idea..yeah!
wilted 3 years ago
would hate the ending if Zak Adama is a cylon.*
wilted 3 years ago
I agree--Baltar and Starbuck are doubtedly cylons. The person who plays Starbuck has admitted twice that she has been told she isn't a cylon. I think like some of the characters have stated, 'It could be a miracle.' I think the figure he sees is a representation of God, since Six see's Baltar in his head. Roslin does play an important role in the ending of BSG and getting to Earth. But I don't think she is, since Tory feels inclined to aide by Roslin at this point.
TheoryInSplitting 3 years ago
I'd agree with most, if not all, of your analysis. The fact that the empty seat at the Last Supper is next to Apollo makes me think it could be someone who is close to Lee - possibly Dualla or Lampkin.
Dualla gets my vote as there is just enough evidence yet an air of mystery about her. Also, if we are honest, we know exceeding little about Dualla except the most abstract of details, nothing that specific.
It may be coincidental but Anastasia means "resurrection" in Greek.
richiebabe24 3 years ago
My first comment! Thanks so much!
Yeah, I'm inclined to say Dualla myself. Actually, I had a whole point in this video that greatly argued for it. I had to cut the entire thing because my facts were incorrect. I do think the final cylon is female, and my money's on Dualla, too.
Thanks for the comment about her name. I did not know that.
trueedge2097 3 years ago
I heard that "Dualla" is phonetically very similar to a word in Sanskrit which means "Twelve".
The more I look into her character the more alarm bells I hear. Nothing we know about her can really be verified and she rarely opens up about anything, and when she does she still doesn't tell us much.
That's it, I've convinced myself - she's a Cylon!
