Accounting always gets overrated on the internet. They only tell you about the success stories. I'm a CPA with an MBA and only make $38k/yr here in Florida. I've tried very hard to get a better paying job and gotten no where. It took 6 years to become a CPA and it was the biggest mistake of my life.
I have an interview for a Junior Accounting position this Wednesday. I am wondering, what kind of questions can I expect from the interview? I am really nervous. This is my second Accounting interview. My 1st interview was useless. The interviewer did not ask me any questions except for: "Do you have any questions?" Don't ask what went on in that interview because I do not want to remember it.
@megamunchit2008 I hope you will find job soon :-) I'm on my final year of accountancy , so I already started fill out job appication forms, it's not easy mate ;-) Good luck
This guy is looking for a version of himself in prospective clients ... how boring when all of them will be so alike.. clearly no creativity here.
.. he's got his hand resting on something to hold himself up .. a little too relaxed shall we say esp. for someone who frowns upon prospective candidates who sound relaxed and personable in their demeanor.
The guy is too proud and needs an HR consultant to sit him down and bring him up to speed about being human :-))
@write2robinram what can you do man, people do what they want to do. there are personality types for these kind of career. people like the person on this video is fit for this kind of career, someone who's analytic. ever since the beginning of civilization, people have found ways to do what kind of work they want. you'd have merchants, farmers, leaders, scribes, etc. that's just the way it is, that's how we humans have to work it all out to survive in this world you know...

First impressions: "do you dress like me, talk like me, act like me?"
If not, you are not acceptable.
Such is the life of a money drone; someone who has to lose their identity, creativity and soul in order to fit in with a machine.
This should be called "Career Advice - Well Dressed Cogs".
