It's REALLY hard to feel sorry for a cartel which has enjoyed such a long run. Capping commissions ought to be the least of realtors' concerns. NAR's fraudulent reports and antitrust violations will eventually motivate the Department of Justice to shut this criminal enterprise down. Lawrence Yun and David Lereah ought to be in jail for the fraudulent reports they've made over the past five years..

As a mortgage banker for the past 30 years, I can relate to the potential threat that the NAR sees forthcoming. If the govenrment can arbitrarily make a decision on how much you can be paid as was done to loan officers on April 1, 2011, it is not inconcievable that these same people will target the next housing lobby...the NAR!
We have let Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Andrew Cuomo rape and pilage our industry all in the name of consumer protection. Funny how every cost has doubled!
