I love that Kristen Bell can be a active vegetarian but isn't a jerk to people who aren't, even to the point of pulling the entrails out of a duck. She's such a good sport.
i always thought craig does a crappy german accent, but now that i hear wolfgang puck speaking i know where craig got it from. truly horrible, i've never heard any austrian or german speak with such an annoying accent
Just for the record: not all Austrians (or Germans for that matter) speak English as horribly bad as Wolfgang Puck and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I promise! Just come over and visit and you'll see. (:
I love at the end of the show in "what did we learn on the show" and Kristen was all like "Ducks dont fly!!" I just couldnt stop laughing, it was really hilarious.
Mine does, it's really quite extraordinary. Free-range pre-packaged chicken quarters roam the fields near my house, it's really very surreal. And don't get me started on the feral packs of flank steaks.
Kristen Bell is a vegetarian of course, in case anyone missed that! and its normal for us vegetarians to freak out around meat, but Kristen freaked out and started playing with it, which is kind of odd.....
i agree her reaction was wierd; not the freaking out part, but when she started playing with it with a fork... i would've politely stepped back and watch craig have at it...
then later she talks about eating the apples, but not the apple that's the headrest...? i couldn't eat anything off that plate...
I am vegetarian as well. I personally wouldn't want to touch or smell anything of that duck. . Some vegetarians are totally put off by meat and morally against it, others just won't eat it for health reasons. Kristen's stance appears to be somewhere between the two.
hey, i'm a vegetarian too and have been so since birth. I'm 19 now and it's cool to see some people on youtube who are vegetarians too. but yea, i probably wouldn't feel comfortable handling meat either.

Yes but parents can't impose their beliefs on their children, and being a vegetarian is a belief. You can't be a veg. since birth, cause you aren't in any position to make that decision. If there are parents out there doing that, then they are horrible, HORRIBLE parents.
Vegetarianism isn't a belief, it's a way of life. True, you might not BELIEVE that it's right/wrong until you get a little older and start having conscious beliefs about things, but if you don't eat meat, you're a vegetarian.
Besides, parents can and do impose their beliefs on their children-- like with religion. It's true that you can't force your kids to believe in god, but you can force them to go to church. Are they horrible parents for doing that?
There are vegetarians and vegetarians. Some parents take it too far, going as far as not drinking milk, etc. That could be harmful to a child's development. Going to church on the other hand does not physically hurt the child.
Vegans don't consume dairy, true. But responsible vegans see nutritionists to make sure their kids get the right amount of protein, etc. I completely agree that some people are idiots and don't do this, and that does hurt their kids.
People can take religion too far as well. An extreme example: forcing young girls to marry against their will (google Elissa Wall), which causes emotional trauma but still aligns with the parents' beliefs. Irresponsible parents will harm their children regardless.
this is for Lizzie2night. if u want to get into it technically, we are all vegetarians since birth, because we only feed on broken-down macromolecules that we get from our mothers when we're in the womb. but what i meant is that i was vegetarian since i was younger. once i came out of the womb, meat wasn't a regular part of my eating lifestyle.
I think people must pragmatic every now and then.. seems she didn't get all the facts about what was going to be cooked before she agreed being on the show... Once she was there the best thing she could do was to play nice, I'm glad that's what she did. :)
i have heard of vegetarian or vegan wives that cook meat every night for their meat eating husbands.. kinda like the same thing?? i think she just doesnt want to come across as meat eaters thinking she is better than them, so she is playing along..
