  • truly brings a tear to my eye when the patients fade out... best emotional scene i have seen so far

  • very powerful moment

  • John c mcginley is good actor but scrubs is a comedy. were was greys antomy is drama that tries to be funny

  • Why John C. Mcginley hasn't won an Emmy or a Globe yet is just plain ridiculous...

  • this was probably the most memorable moment in scrubs

  • I love this scene because the music fit the dramatic scene personally. I felt really bad for Dr. Cox.

  • i was good that it was carla there because of their history with each other

  • Dr. Cox, at first, wasn't my favourite guy on scrubs but the way he acted that scene was truly spectacular. It was like someone was recording it actually happen. Awesome... truly awesome

  • Best Non funny moment of scrubs ever.

  • I love this episode so much But i hate it in a way too :/

Damn scrubs and its sad moments

  • Season 5 113 My Lunch

  • i meant dr. cox...

  • probably the best episode for me [:

    dr. coz is my fav

  • who is the actor at 0:30?

  • My favourite scene in the whole of scrubs. I love John C. McGinley.

  • omg this gets me,i love this scene so much, scrubs forever

  • I hope this convinces people to be donors. It really makes a difference guys.. It really does.

  • Scrubs is probebly one of the best shows ever made.

  • is it season 7?

  • it's supposed to be one, but if i heard corectly, JD nor Carla may not come back

  • Without a doubt, one of the best - if not the best - scrubs scene.

  • 1.15 I like that energi of Dr.Cox, is soooo good!!!! love scrubs

  • o I mean 2.13 =)

  • Actually the Dr. Cox character typically *gets real* towards the end of many Scrubs episodes. What made me look this one up after the repeat was played is the fact it was that good a frozen rope. Played out as predictable until he reminds JD the kidney could've waited---absolutely priceless and an excellent contribution to the site.

  • perfect best acting in ages

  • Maybe even centuries...

This is one of the best things I've seen in the last 5 years.

  • i think it makes it feel more real because of the camera efecet it shakeing it buts you in the moment and the music gets louder making it more intence.

  • This scene made me cry. Not just one of those "my eyes are watering and I'm sad" cries, either. It hit me at just the right time mood-wise and triggered a pathetic, soaking-wet, head-on-the-desk bawl.

Also, this really shows that McGinley doesn't get the credit he deserves as an actor. He has amazing depth and delivers some powerful performances.

The only thing that bugs me about this video is how J.D. enters the room right after. He looks weird and emotionless, and almost jumps into frame.

  • I viewed JD entering into the room right after as trying to be there for his friend, but it did look a little choppy.

  • I love this video its awsome!!!!!!!!

  • see? this is why scrubs is incredible. it can be funny as hell! yet serious/sad/emotional like this

  • Amen to that. This episode did really touch me.

  • Today was the first time i saw it (in German).

But I can't stop watching it any 5 minutes.

  • i dunno why but i absolutely LOVE dr.cox in this episode...he just seems so....human!

  • would u prefer them to do and song and dance when the people die then?

  • the best show. so funny

  • love the show, love the characters loved that episode - basically i love everything about [scrubs] - what a great show!!

  • I love this episode!!It is so amazing and unusual to see Dr. Cox be so sensitive, and it makes this even sadder...

  • Best scene and show ever!!!!!!!!!!<3

  • so perfect!

  • truly amazing

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITES SCENES EVER GREAT SONG AND SO EMOTIONAL, Scrubs has comedy but also shows that a hospital isnt all easy, it shows what goes on when somthing bad happens in a hospital

  • BEST SCENE EVER!

  • This is perhaps my favorite moment in the whole series. So fantastic...

  • John C. McGinley is an awesome actor.

  • This is the saddest moment in anything I have ever scene..atleast to me..

  • Truly a powerful performance by John c. mcginley

  • this is one of my favorite episode of scrubs along with "my day at the races" where turk and the tod kill all the chinese guys

  • first scrubs episode which actually was really sad still awesome but really powerful too

  • This is the perfect place to use How to Save A Life. It's also the perfect hospital show song.

  • beautiful

  • i actually almost cried when i watched this episode

  • thsi is definitley the saddest episode of scrubs

  • Second to brendon frazier dying, but yes very sad.

  • Seriously, I would quit, and go to Uganda or some poverty striken country and dedicate my life to helping them to repent for my mistake.

  • people(cept the last 1) wud hav died anyway, but they all thought it was a drug overdose that killed the donor, it wasnt his fault or he would have been struck off(i am aware its just a tv show lol)

  • yeah, but wouldn't you feel responsible knowing that in your gut you should have tested her for something? anything. Any abnormal cell or decay in her, to tell you something?

  • true, but as jd said, testing would hav wasted time the patients didn have, except the last 1, so he shudnt jump off a cliff, he made a mistake, and a patient died because of it

  • this part woouldn't been so emotional without that song

  • EVen without the song, this is a very amazingly played out scene, it truly is great.

  • great show n scene

  • John C. McGinley(Dr.Cox)is by far the most talented actor on the show. While Zach Braff gets the recognition as it is technically a comedy and he is the funniest guy on the show, McGinely is just so impressive with his ability to get into character. He makes up for some of the other actors who are not so talented (i.e Elliot, The Todd, Keith) and if it weren't for him the show would seem fake and played out and as a result not be nearly as successful.

  • The Todd is amazing! high five?

  • dude he's been acting since the 80's i hope he's good because that would just be sad that he's been acting so long and sucks

  • I completely agree.

  • oh wow..

u managed to insult someone and be an ass about it wile trying to give someone else a compliment.

i dont know if your just idiot, or a huge jonny c kiss ass.

me know who jonny c is, no need to say hes caracters name, and y dident u do that for zack either anyway!.

sarah chalke!, and robert maschio!, are both talanted acters/actress in there own way. and btw, scrubs is a comedy, not a real hard core hospital show.

  • yeh shutup no1 cares

    gd video(Y)

  • i couldnt be a doctor if this happened

  • wich season is this episode from??

  • Actually, it is the 20th episode of the 5th season

  • this song was sped up a little

  • stegrewal, I agree. I saw/heard the song on Grey's Anatomy not long after I saw this episode of Scrubs, and I thought that the sitcom was much more effective. One of my favourite [Scrubs] scenes ever, never gets old.

  • this song belongs to SCRUBS, not GREY'S ANATOMY...FACT!!!

  • fantastico , mitico scrubs

  • Its amazing how someone(I.E John C.) can put such emotion into his performance (I.E when he pushes the machine over) It makes you wonder how real doctors can get through people dying every day =/ Definately my fave Scrubs moment, and by far the saddest

  • carla loks so scared

  • J.D. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
