  • This game is the origin of Advance Wars. I would love to play this.

  • In a way, SFW was more realistic than AW

  • The flag for the buidings are stars... the Mario stars...

  • The length limit has been lifted!

  • huh they could have made kinda better graphics, seriously, its really cheap looking game for something made in 1998 for SNES, and the hell is with the capturing sound, it looks like a chihuahua is barking

  • the isnt that slow if u mess up with the options XD

  • they are raping the rope

  • does this game also has CO and there powers or it depend solely on strategy

  • @Anemite I think powers were added in Advance Wars (or Gameboy Wars Advance in Japan)

  • so like a differant vison of andvance wars?

  • @Grandbigdog24 It was never released outside of Japan, but this was an earlier game in the 'Wars' series. First one was on the Famicom (NES)

  • Wow, they've been re-using this map for a while then? lol

  • Yes, for twenty or so years. Amazing huh?

  • its amazing.... just play this in SFC then play it on DoR... so different...

  • This is one of those "Classic" maps, which they have in every game (the classic maps are actually just maps from the first games).

  • LOL sped-up sound! soooo funny!! heh heh heh!

  • The sped up music is fun.

  • I love the animations, theyre so cute

  • I like the little dude in the bottom right corner during the AI's turn.

    GO! GO!

  • i love how this game gives you a feeling that you are actually a general in a war.

    CRUSH THE ENEMY RANKS!!!

  • Cute little game.

SFC Wars becomes fast and actually "playable" by doing this:

The capture and battle animation are set for their own (unlike Advance Wars). You already set the battle animations to off, but to switch the day, capture and (un)loading scenes off as well , go into the in-game menu and select the 4th entry (設定).

Now set こうそくモード to circle (means highspeed mode). Hit Start. If you cannot display kanji: on the right column, middle entry.

  • No, the predecessor of AW.

  • Its amazing some people dont know this is Advance Wars, but its past form...

There was Gameboy wars as well

  • Well, after writing this comment, I've seen there are past forms.

    Sorry.

  • Where can i buy dis game? Is it available in the US?

  • Its for the Super Famicom for Japan only. You can download it for to play on an emulator.

  • even if you have a super famicom, it will be very hard to find.

  • there is a way around the 10 minute time limit- but you need an old director account- from before the limit was inforced. anyone who had their account set up like that then now has a 100 minute limit on their account.

(i missed it by 3 days!)

  • This game should have a remake. Mabye a WiiWare download?

  • uh... whats an emulator?

  • It's a program for your computer that allows you to play console games on your PC through loading of ROM files.

  • so if it was never realeased in the states, howd u get a copy?

  • its an emulator <.<''

  • I lol at the APC and building captures :P

  • Cool, This map is on almost every Advance wars games.

  • It IS in every Advance Wars game.

  • I see.

  • Yep, this map got into the first advance wars game, and since then, it was a classic, so they added on all the other ones =P

  • its even on days of ruin... i never saw it on dual strike ..... hmmm idk i never looked
