I think its a really cool idea that they modeled the sounds after animals. I'm sure if we made a bunch of mechs that function independently we'd want them to have their own language so enemies can't decipher what they're doing. Plus it's just different than the standard vocoded voice saying 'target aquired' every five seconds.

@pspfreek96 Yup, they use (or at least Ray Metal Gears do) some type of nervous system like thing on their extremities to bypass damaged circuits, that way if say, one part of the leg is damaged, it wouldn't leave the rest of the limb incapacitated due to the info being redirected to the functioning ones.
