It's basically identical to PreCure on the core, the difference being that PreCure is a little more childish and girlish, and obviously animated. @hernaric1 Actually, no. The very first magical girl anime was Mahou Tsukai Sally, which premiered WAAAAAAAAY back in 1968. Sailor Moon just helped popularize the genre.

The genre as it is now, partly in thanks to Sailor Moon yes. But there was a lot more animes/manga's that came before that helped shaped it a lot.

Well... From all precure series I've watch, moonlight is the only one I can call "strong & elegant." Although at first I see sunshine is powerful enough with her martial arts skill, but she has a lil mental problem with being "boyish" while she can't help to loves cute things ^~^. so moonlight got No.1 position i love most in my precure collection right now. And more than that..., her dress.. So pretty with white purple rose design :3

May i remind you that even in the 3rd all stars movie she stands out as one of the most powerful precure compared to even black and white. Don't get me wrong, black and white are my favourites but in terms of strength, fighting technique and experience, Moonlight is more powerful by far. And unlike black and white who have their fairies as guidance, moonlight's died a long time ago.

@PrettyCureFanXD dark precure lost , those 2 are legendary type precure which is very strong , (unlike tsubomi , peach , white ,etc ) we've only seen 4 legendary precure after all , Milky rose ,Cure moonlight ,dark precure and the last one is cure flower ( tubomi's grandma ). they have extra ability from normal precure. one o them is can deform / depowered a precure form. but since dark precure power is not from a precure seed , is not human either , she's just electrified & critically injured.
