@hiyadroogs. To the question of low powered diesel bikes. Take for example of Neander diesel bike from Netherlands if not mistaken. Execellent I would say. May be they should revive the Detroit diesel 2 stroke diesel engine with super charger, manufactured to the size of 500 cc. I believe with today's manufacturing technology it could easily be done if not reasoning that in some countries like mine, we have a quota on diesel usage. Priority for trucks in transportation.
It"s amazing how a home handyman can engineer something like this and apparantly a dozen or so major motorcycle companies with hundreds of design engineers can"t!!!!!!
@bigrobnz It's not that they can't, of course, it's because it costs hundreds of millions to design & build a new concept for mass production, & there has to be a sufficiently interested market in the finished product to make it viable.
A depressingly small proportion of motorcyclists want a low powered diesel bike with high fuel economy.
I had lunch with him and asked about the bike. It started as a Ural and is registered as a Ural. The motor is a Kubota 920cc 24.8 HP trans. casing is Ural with BMW guts and gearing shaft drive. rear is Ural casing with BMW guts and gearing front end forks, wheel and brakes are Yamaha rear wheel is BSA I, lovingly, call it Franken-bike a really neat project It runs on pure vegetable oil, or Diesel or Bio-Diesel
