  • It's nice work! My only problem with this is, no US armor formations took part in Market Garden. XXX Corps was a British formation. While they had American equipment they were manned by British soldiers. US paratroopers from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions took part in the operation, but that was all.

  • wiring those power lines would make a nice finishing touch. i just walk out front and look up. btw, excellent job.

  • very interesting diaroma. How did you get the American casualties? Did you improvise or buy them from specific ready made brands?

  • it's nice

  • did a real nice job

  • how did you obtain these figures and what are they called so i caould find them nice diorama!

  • Didecaded to my grandparents .. was your grandmother a nurse?

Opgedragen aan mijn grootouders, was Uw grootmoeder/Oma een zuster?

Just a question. Gewoon een vraag ;)

  • @transploft8 Yes. Grandfather 1 = British Royal Marine. Grandfather 2 = British Army maintenance POW camp. Grandfather 3 = British Army Motorized Recon. Grandmother 1 = volunteer nurse British Navy.

  • @beetstreet4 you have 3 grandfathers? WOW !!! AmazinG!

Still you've done a great job ,its a start, don't bully others about the paintings till THEY show what they REALLY can do !!! Sl let them show some prof hat they made by themselves !! ;)

  • good job bro. but the detail on the figures is really bad, try figures from Dragon or Tamiya, they have much better detail.or if you want even better details go buy verlinden figures!

  • @deadmike73 It says in the description that he made this video a while back.

  • that is cool

  • Nice diorma. but you should try to improve you painting.

  • @environmentinfocus The infantry is Forces of Valor, they are pre-painted.

  • @environmentinfocus Dou you have something that looks better ?

  • Nicely done, good story with diorama and excellent music choice.

  • those shermans will get RAPED sooooo bad :)

  • Amazing

  • wow incredible ..but there is not dead animals ..like horses or dogs .Well done awesome work!!

  • Jagdpanther & StuG III= all Shermans dead.

  • about how much did this cost you to make???

  • This music i hear in sooooo much videos of you tube....but i like your diorama

  • oh god, this music AGAIN. Nice diorama though

  • oh god, this music AGAIN

  • where did you get the troops from especially the medics?

  • @MrJ0lly They are Forces Of Valor figures.

  • @beetstreet4 thanks but which website?

  • did you try to make a scene of a band of brothers episode? it is very similar, specially the soldier shooting a thompson behind a sherman tank

  • nice 5*

  • Sic as diorama Im hoping to make one myself but dont have the time or inspiration but you have helped me get off my ass and do something. thanks :D

  • the music is not gears of war. this music is done by a man named CLINT MANSELL. This is the soundtrack for a movie called REQUIEM FOR A DREAM. great track

  • Nice job with the diorama and great use of FOV.

  • the injured soldiers and tanks were great (Y)

  • the sherman at 0:46 took a lot of hits!

  • youv'e got a few fatallities their buddy!!! hope it all wasnt in vain!!!

  • the only thing is that the sherman tanks was firefly not first mark sherman

  • Nice Nice (L)(L)

  • nice job !!!

  • @manwithtux These figures come pre-painted and are produced by Forces Of Valor.

  • i love this clip, has everything, music that suits the theme the tanks, destroyed shermans the overall diarama. wow i cant describe how impressed i am.

    Great job!

    5 Stars.

  • Music?

  • @videofreakmanic123 Gears Of War

  • @beetstreet4 i thought this piece of music was called requiem for a tower? meh,i don't care, because that is one awesome diorama

  • @beetstreet4 its actualy lux aeterna full orchestral remix by clint mansell

  • @beetstreet4 its actualy lux aeterna full orchestral remix by clint mansell

  • @videofreakmanic123 requiem for a dream

  • @videofreakmanic123 requiem for a dream ;)

  • Not a good angle for the Sherman to be with that JagdPanther lurking about. I think it will end poorly for the second Sherman as it did for the first. Well done!!

  • Theres no dead or injured Germans. Strange...

  • What brand are they?

  • @Andrewes122 They tanks and figures are Unimax Forces Of Valor. I no longer use the figures and as for the tanks, I strip them down, detail them and re-paint them. I would build my own plastic tanks but I really like the fact they are made of mostly steel. Beetstreet

  • @beetstreet4 yeah im working on a German sniper squad. ill post video of em when im done. there made by dragon and there 1/35 scale plastic

  • @Andrewes122 I look forward to it - let me know when you post your vid.

  • WOW! thats so epic, R.I.P. to all those fallen soldiers

  • whats the music

  • NAME of song plz

  • @TheParkerjoe Gears Of War Soundtrack - Requiem For A Dream. Beetstreet

  • @beetstreet4 thank you

  • how did u make the water?

  • It's an epoxy resin produced by Circa 1850 in North America. I'm not sure if it's available in the UK. It's the easiest stuff - you just combine equal parts of the resin and hardener (both included in the kit). Allow to dry for 48 hours and you're done. For shallow / fast moving water I do one layer about 3/4" deep. For deeper water / slow moving water I do 1/2" layer, paint it and then do a final 1/4" layer. The problem is that it costs $45.00 CAN (about 30.00 Pounds) for 1 L! Beetstreet

  • @beetstreet4 thanks very much thats very very usefull.

  • band of brothers was ok but a real war veteran i met not long ago told me specificly that saving private ryan was more dirogotory twords world war two just a fun fact for you :) p.s i like the diorama but it you put a b-17 in the sky carpet bombing then it would look more market garden :) but hey great job!

  • Enjoyed your video very much.

    keep it up....

    regards.

    Pete....

  • Nice job! If only the poor British paras had been reached in time, the true hero's of the day.

As for Band of Brothers (which is a term used by shakesphere) a total joke and like Saving Private Ryan (which is based on a British families experience NOT American) how the Americans won the war. If British Para's hadn't held the 2 key bridges on D Day the US would have been slaughtered on the beaches by the SS panzers. US army didn't hold any bridges as in Saving Priavte Ryan.

  • i love band of brothers my fav is ep 3

  • looks nothing like market garden let me guess u found bout this on band of brothers like everyone else+ i went on a sherman the otherday

  • @44magnum1231 No this had nothing to do with Band Of Brothers - a hint rude and judgemental. This is one of my first dioramas (as I have said before, too many times), it best shows good intentions with poor research. As for Shermans, there is one at my Legion. It is almost fully intact and was in Normandy. Up until four years ago, the engine was still in it but had to be removed when they caught a collector late at night stealing engine parts.

  • @44magnum1231 As for Band Of Brothers, it is an excellent series from the American experience on the Western Front but as a British born Canadian (with three Grandfathers who served in WWII), it would be poor for me build my dioramas from only the American perspective - wouldn't you agree? Feel free to view the movies of some of my dioramas that I have uploaded to You Tube. They are almost all based on the German side of the war - an irony perhaps...

  • weak.

  • Awesome vid mate trying to make a Diorama of a German assault in WW2 And this vids given me some ideas thanks man.

  • @rogueunit10 This is some of my earliest and to be honest weakest. Without sounding arrogant - please watch my other videos. Especially "Welcome Home", "Escape From The Pocket" or "The Horror Of The Hurtgen Forest". Let me know what you think. Beetstreet

  • What's the name of this song?

  • @aangeli53132 Gears Of War - I think it's actually from a video game. Just seems to fit the war - diorama thing. Beetstreet

  • @aangeli53132 Requiem for a dream.

  • What song is playing on this?

  • Went a bit OTT on those shell penetrations. Less is more.

  • where did you get the figures im making a diorama like this one I cant find anything like them

  • @mattobe123 If you check the end credits, you will find i have listed three dealers that you can trust. Just Google their websites. Hope that helps, Beetstreet

  • I've made a battlefield but not much of it a actually bought so I pretty much made it from knowlege

  • Genial¡¡¡¡

  • how did you make the hole in the sherman ?

  • I made the hole using a drill with a metal drill bit (titanium coated) because forces of valor are die cast steel. Sorry about the delay in response. Beetstreet

  • @Joakimoklinta probably drilled it and heated the body to bendit

  • thats really cool the song goes well with the video good job

  • how did u make the trees and grass???

  • As this was one of my first dioramas, I was, at that tim,e buying all my trees on EBay and the grass is by Woodland Scenics (a producer of scenics for model railroads). I have changed alot of my methods since this diorama. Hope that helps, Beetstreet

  • much better to build your trees alone

  • Very nice im starting to make another diorama

  • I see you used forces of valor toys

  • Nice diorama. Only comment is that if this is Market Garden, there should be a few Cromwells in there.

  • Thank you for the compliment. You are correct. This diorama is one of my first and I believe weakest (both in quality of detail and historical accuracy). As I mentioned before, the title would have been better as: "Somewhere In Germany, 1945". I am also caught by my medium, I use Forces Of Valor 1/32nd scale diecast models, which I mostly weather or repaint. I prefer metal over plastic. Forces Of Valor has very few British models (except the North African Campaign). Maybe I'll make a new one! :)

  • nice video but what is the name of the song

  • The song name or title, not sure which, is Gears Of War. I believe it's actually from a video game. It just seems to suit some of my dioramas. Thanks for the comment, Beetstreet

  • hey! hi!, Im about to finish the f

diorama...but I've a question. How did you ddo the holes in the sherman tank. I thought about makinga a hole and then with a hot stick shape it

  • To create the holes, I use a cordless drill. The different drill bit size used imitates the different calibre of the attacking weopons. I also collect the shavings created by the drilling and re-attach them around the puncture point to simulate the metal fatigue caused by the impact. Because Forces Of Valor are metal, I have found they create the best effect but I have also had reasonable success with plastic models. Hope that helps and look forward to seeing your diorama, Beetstreet

  • Oh! but I dont have a drill do you think that my idea will work?

  • I would try it on a piece of scrap, rather than your model. Better to be safe than sorry. If it works - GREAT but if not, you won't be frustrated. Let me know how you make out. Beetstreet

  • :P :D :) =D nice job

  • Have you make the ston wall you self?Or buy it?

  • Sorry about the delay in responding. This wall I bought in a EBay diorama lot. If you go to my "Escape From The Pocket" movie, you can see walls I built using two different mediums. Beetstreet

  • Yes thats right beacuse The allied

found it hard to take out a tiger II/2

they need 5 sherman on one tiger 2 and only one of dose 5Shermans will be left.

Whit the Fier Fly need they only 3 maby.

    Sorry my Eng/Jacob

  • modelmaster14 have wrong the Fier Fly is better than sherman.

    Right?????

  • In my opinion the upgrading of the standard Sherman gun to the 17 pounder was an improvement to it's fire power and ability to battle the Panzer IV, Panther and Tiger II. Just my opinion though.

  • Sorry for i coment your soldiers

I dont know that was your first.

    I remeber my first =)

  • It's okay my friend, it takes alot more than that to insult me. Especially when you are right. The pre-painted Forces Of Valor figures are in no way as good as figures (like Tamiya or Dragon) that have been painted by someone, like Pepi15, that have skill and experience at painting figures. I am experimenting with painting my own now.

  • What is the name of the music?

  • Gears Of War

  • Nice dioramas whit opration market garden. The guys is from forces of valor the soldiers is not so Good like tamiya.

The network you to talk abaut is that soom thing for me maby i have build models in 2 year now and have stude ww2 in 3 years and I come from sweden and I am 13 ?????????????????????

Sorry my Eng if i writ soom Wrong

  • anyways man its a great diorama no matter what anything you put time and effort in its gonna look great. im currently working on like a normandy setting diorama

and i would love to shake yor grandfathers hand and anyone who fought on the allies side.

    Joe

  • Joe,

When you finish your diorama please post the link as a video response, so that when people go to my page, they can follow the thread to yours. I would love it if everyone that has a diorama on You Tube did the same. That way we might just start a network of each person's work and share ideas.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

  • there never was any sherman tanks in Market Garden. It was set up by the british which royaly sucked, there was only Fireflys, Cromwells, And Churchill tanks in the whole operation

  • Yes there were no original Shermans in Market Garden. But one must remember that a "Firefly" was a modified Sherman to take the naval designed 17 pounder gun. This is my worst and least historically accurate diorama but I posted it anyway. In a way I'm glad I did because the comments remind would-be diorama builders to do their research unlike what I did. Like I said earlier I should rename this one "Somewhere In Germany". Beetstreet

PS - I'm British and my Grandfather was wounded in Holland!!!

  • wow amazing video 5/5

  • The normandy collection video was the one that inspired me to do the diorama Im doing..but in Argentina..it is very expensive to do a diorama cause their are imported from usa and japan..so think that 1 US$ = 3,87 $ pesos.. So I had to save lots! of money to do the diorama Im making ( the diorama is costing me 656$ argentine pesos = 170,83 US$ dollars)

  • The Forces Of Valor vehicles alone cost me $240.00 US dollars. I look forward to your dioarama and feel free to post it as a video response to this diorama. I am currently working on another Eastern Front diorama, this one set in the winter. And yes it will showcase Forces Of Valor tanks - I prefer diecast over plastic. lol. Beetstreet

  • did you paint them? or you just bouht them alredy finished, cause i've been watching some force of valor products and all come alredy finished, so.....you didn't have much to do..only design the field and where to put the vehicules and soldiers.. and you have it! a great fake diorama

  • I appreciate your opinion. Yes it's so easy to design, layout and build the land. You wave a magic wand and presto it's done. The trees, bushes and grass magically appear with a little water. I just go out to the road and borrow telephone poles, etc. The tanks come pre-painted and I wave my magic wand and presto they're customized. Thanks for your opinion again. Have you ever built one? Please say yes or you'll seem just another person with an opinion and no experience at doing it.

  • well, sory If I ofended you..but that is my opinion and Im glad yuo appreciate it. Regarding to your question: Have you ever built one?, I say I'M FINISHING ONE THIS MONTH, It's my first, but I've been building models since I am 10 years old, but my little brothers thougt that they were toys..soy you might think what have happened to my (Sdkfz 251, my Bf 109, my Zero, and my Huey)

So If you want, I´ll send you next month an invitation to the video of my diorama, and then you write your opinion

  • When you finish your diorama please post the link as a video response, so that when people go to my page, they can follow the thread to yours. I would love it if everyone that has a diorama on You Tube did the same. That way we might just start a network of each person's work and share ideas.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

  • I think Operation Market Garden should be chose British tanks , because tank support in Operation Market Garden , it support by British 30th corps .

  • You are correct. Another reason I never liked this diorama. I probably should have called it "Some Where In Germany, 1945" but that was the name from conception. Another proof that pre-production research is as important as the end result.

  • that is blody grate

  • Ha Ha, those americans are SCREWED, TIGHT!!

    Nice job by the way!!

  • hey! what models are the ones where the men are injured, they are tamiya?

  • All the figures and vehicles are Forces Of Valor 1/32nd scale. The figures are plastic but the vehicles are diecast steel.

  • awesome

  • "great"

  • Hey man get flick! Well shot and edited! If I may, take a look at how movies are lit. I'm an electrician in the industry and there are a few really simple rules, it looks like you might get the jist of it and clearly you know what looks good.

I'm just recommending looking into how intensity and color work into making something look "real" on film.

    Awesome work keep it up!

  • IS THAT REAL WATER

  • No, it's an epoxy resin. You mix the epoxy and a hardener and has the thickness characteristics of syrup. It sets in approximately 24 hours. You can put a top coat on with oil base paint and a final layer of epoxy to give the sheen. Beetstreet

  • those shermans would dissapear cuz of the jagdpanthers. great job on them dude

  • excellent presentation.jagdpanther=deadly

  • stupid video!!!!

  • Blunt and honest, but I have to ask why is is stupid?

  • what make are thoes figures no offence but some of heir noses look a bit weird

  • No offence taken. They are the generic Forces Of Valor brand. They come pre-painted and assembled - mass produced. They're okay for the money (relatively cheap). I use very few on my dioramas now, mainly the ones that come with certain vehicles. Beetstreet

  • Your diorama are absolutley amazing all of the my favourite one is Tribute To Ernest Barkmann

  • haha i need inspiration for a Market Garden diorama but from the british paras point of veiw and ideas would be great ! sweet diorama really like the follage on the german tanks....how did u destroy the sherman like that ?

  • The tools to destroy a perfectly good diecast sherman tank model (lol):

    1. Blow Torch

    2. Dremel Rotary Tool

    3. Drill with Metal Bits

    4. Matt / Flat Black Spray Paint

Thank you for the compliment, I just wish I liked this diorama : ( Beetstreet

  • To all, maybe you know about Steve but if you don't, search in You Tube for steve the kamloopian. He is great and has great advice. He also runs a website. I highly recommend you visit both! Beetstreet

  • So you're pretty good at this. I am getting into building dioramas and I'm only 14. idk if that's weird or I just am creative but yeah.

  • i dont think its weird, i am 13 and i have done a diorama, i am on my second now :)

  • i like the use of forces of valor items, i think it could have been a little bit bigger but i still liked it alot. P.S. i like the song choice.

  • all your movies are amazing

  • it was good i liked it

  • 0:47 lol how many holes is that

  • lol that is a lot of holes!

  • I just wanted to thank you for even comparing one of my first, and in my opinion weakest, countryside dioramas to such a world famous, well funded and professional city diorama builder like AITOR AZCUE. Despite your critism, even using such a professional as a comparison is an honour! Do you build dioramas? I watched your music video. What can I say? Like the dioramas, we will both get better with time and practice. We all have to start somewhere dont you agree?

  • best ww2 model i've ever seen

  • Thank you! That was a kind thing to say. I however have never been happy with this one. I checked your homepage and you are researching how dioramas are built. I build mine slightly different than others do. Not that my way is better, in fact it can be harder. If you want to see how I do mine check out one of my other videos: Eastern Front Diorama - Forces Of Valor. I photographed my Eastern Front diorama from start to finish. I hope it helps!! Thanks for taking the time to coment - Beetstreet.

  • thanks i'll check out your video and thanks for checking my homepage

  • what is name song???

  • Requiem For A Dream - Gears Of War Theme. I'm not much into video games but the song is great! Hope That Helps, Beetstreet

  • very good detailing
