I play wow ! I really do, and i don't speak about the song by jace hall hehe xD But when i saw lotr online gameplay.....No comment, in a good way this RULES ! I'm the biggest fan of lotr of all times xD I speak little mordor ! I'm a huge fan ! So i just might start playing this ! Can anyone tell me is this game free to play?Cos i saw 60 days card to buy like i do for wow.Can anyone tell me please is it full free to play or 30 days free and then you pay?

@MellyrnEtenel if it free to play with a lot of limitations. there are 3 levels of account subscriptions. free is very limited, premium accounts are ones that become premium whenever you spend money in the cash shop. and vip is the monthly subscription. as a free to play it is very possible to unlock everything without ever using any cash but it just takes a lot of work and dedication. i myself just went to vip last week and its amazing. i pay 30 dollars for every 3 months.

Ok. I don't know why all lotro clips start wow vs. lorto "battles".

I've played both WoW and LotRO. And they both have good and bad things.

WoW is quite simple and flashy witch makes u addicted. Has wery good PvP and PvE.

LotRO is more complex and WoW and less flashy but it makes up with great graphic there is a STORY witch is wery important. It doesn't have best PvP but awsome PvE.

and the fact that it all relates back to Tolkien's work is amazing, like if youve read the hobbit or any of the lord of the rings books (and enjoyed them, dont know how you wouldnt) then you will LOVE this game :)

Lore-masters get summoned pets but you cannot tame pets or anything like that

It seams like World of Warcraft has the best interface IMO.

Everything is just so clean and cut...

When you equip your armor and stuff the profile screen looks great, the icons for spells and stuff looks really good too.

These are some of the things that I don't see other mmo's matching up too.

2 new character classes, and i believe you can also now access the mines of moria, which is a MASSIVE nwe area, aswell as something called Monsterplay, or was this available in shadows of angmar too? anyone?

The newest expansion released the whole Moria area and a little of the Lothlorien side, 2 new classes (The Warden and The RuneKeeper), and the legendary item system. The Monsterplay was available with Shadows of Angmar, but they've made some adjustments for it such as new armor sets and tweaks here and there. I'm still trying to find all the differences from the original 'Moors ;D

Well, you have to buy the Shadow of Angmar to start out because that's over half the game but you can play just that without upgrading to Mines of Moria. But you can't just buy the Moria pack and play just on that, Mines of Moria is an expansion of Shadows of Angmar.

Let's get this straight.

This video sucks, yes I know. I had no idea this video (amongst others, mines and different people) would spark WoW vs LotR flamewars, or build up the views and comments/ratings it has gotten. I only played this game cause me and a friend tried it, and he didn't even play. I've nothing against WoW or LotR because I generally can't play MMOs such as this anymore.

With WoW's fame, expect EVERY MMO that releases to be compared to it. It's how it works folks.

good point, Wow has a good interface so its only reconised to be similar to wow by that, THe game would be completely different to wow, gameplay, combat, story lines etc... its just the different UI's that we see flash our minds to WoW, I think wow has had enough time in the sun, LOTRO looks like a good game, but im goin for AoC since ofcourse the great graphics and unique combat I would like to give it a try but LOTRO looks like a point and click sort of thing similar to wow.

I love the lord of the rings online. It is an amazing game! I'm level 43 now and its just getting better and better. Absolutely incredible. I cannot wait to reach level 50. Me and my sister and her boy friend all play it and kick butt. We have a load of fun haha. I'm not sure how fun wow is but if its anything compared to lotro then it must be pretty good. But i'm a lotro man all the way. I think its the best.

i play WoW and lord of the rings shadow of angmar, and they are similar in ways in different in ways. wow is bigger, has more levels, ext. but lord of the rings goes to level 50, better graphics, story plot, so forth. also this game is easier in leveling. i prefer this game but i do like wow. so if want a change of mmo u should play this. but the big question is which one is better? as i said they are both different games and have their goodnesses
