Here they would have been chased down until they either crashed or got away. If they got away eventually they would be caught anyways. They are all caught or killed trying to get away eventually. You can flee the police here in the US, but I certainly wouldn't suggest or condone it. If all they're chasing you for is speeding/reckless driving, they're going to break off pursuit if it becomes a prolonged high-speed chase. And with a motorcycle, a police cruise and YES, even police motorcycles are no match. Once they lose visual, it's not hard to hide from the radio.

It also says that if the officer fails to stop the person fleeing then they can be held responsible for the damage or injury that fleeing person might cause.
