Nothing. Learn to ride it and upgrade for a 600/750 bike after year or two. You can't really get more power outta of that little kawi quite easily. Just too small and underpowered engine to work. Put a slip-on for just sounds if you want to do something atleast.
I have a 79 ltd but it still is a z to me just nicer seat and smaller tank and some minor improvements. I put a 76 tank on it. I am considering 1327cc with a turbo but I guess size doesn't matter with the turbo I could go any size and get bigger later and use the same turbo right? I might just stay 1200 or less to keep the original block as the big blocks don't dissipate heat as efficiently. Have to say it again your bike is boss. Kz's rule the roost. Old School forever! I'm a old kaw mech. from the chicago area. I built a 1327 mtc kit years ago,on weekends I ran 22 lbs. boost with pump race gas,on week days 10 lbs with good pump gas. I took a 2400 mile round trip on interstate never had any kind of problem. remember if you dont turn the throttle way open,no boost and you have only 7.8 lbs. compression pistons! go for the big block,you will have the bigest grin on your face anyone has ever seen!!!
Im from Chicago too. South side. Now I have to kzs 79 and 80 so I can build it that way and keep one at 1075 NA. The more I ride this bike the more I love it. What do you ride now?
I am pretty sure I am going to turbo my z. Could you list the specifics starting with the turbo. What size, etc. I love the sound of it. Can it ride like a normal bike or does it overheat easy?

My turbo Z is usual and can get.
It very natural, and it is unrelated to the overheat.
