What an embarrassing last 10 minutes. I can't help, at the risk of sounding racist, criticize the Asian members with their stupid questions, fawning over Jobs and that Wang lady that mispronounced 2 very elementary words. If this is the level of competency of that council, then I think tax payers $ should be used to hire better staff. It's sad to see and hear how much his illness had affected him. Though he only lived for 3 more months, he made a great presentation, true to his style at Apple.

For those suggesting that the council is childlike or that it is silly to question the fire safety... Remember these are politicians beholden to the community, so they may feel as if they have to put on a face...a dog and pony show of sorts...to demonstrate that they are critical of even the most upstanding and beneficial powers(Apple). In a politician's mind, they HAVE to APPEAR critical of anyone, so when there is nothing to criticize, their (obligitory)criticism appears foolish.

Apple had tens of billions in the bank at this time, so makes you wonder what the apartment owner was thinking...could it be that he is holding out for more?...could it be that those apartments are a perfect place for snooping and listening in on the campus?...or would rents skyrocket afterward, combined with that the owner knows he will ALWAYS be able to get more later, means the apt owner can't lose by waiting?...

I love the design of the campus , Steve Jobs to me was a visionary achievement that this proves that his vision and way of thinking is one of a kind , and i really hope they build this campus. Rest in Peace Steve , miss you.

Cupertino is a very small city. You can tell by the size of the hall. I don't expect to see political superstars in its council. The Apple Store q is funny and Steve's answer was wrong as well(I dont' blame him given his condition). I just stopped by at 1 Infinite Loop to pay tribute this afternoon after a doc visit 1/2 mile away. The answer should be "There's already an Apple Store in Cupertino." Apple calls it The Company Store which is on the right side of 1 Infinite Lp's main entrance.
