They turn off the seatbelt signs at around 10000 feet by the way, so yes, it's "low" compaired to cruising height. They just need to have it stable before they can have people move.

I absolutely love the E-190. I have flown on it a few times and it is one classy little jet. Embraer has a winning design. Four-abreast, large windows, very sleek yet comfortable inside. And it's a fast little thing. I am extremely happy that Air Canada decided to buy them.

@jaskaranbahia I don't remember but usually the altitude for this type of flight is around 30,000 feet.

@Coaljet I agree - we flew AC on an E-190 to Los Cabos from Vancouver a few weeks ago - very comfortable plane and very quiet too.
