Unfortunately, the 90's rolled around. Dave lost his hair and his voice. He went from stadium tours to shit clubs on the chitlin circuit, making $10,000 per night. He never made more than that until Sammy rescued him for the one joint tour.

VH came charging out of the bullpen at a good time for rock stars. at some point david could have dropped the shtick and conversed with people as an intellect but roth doesn't seem to be a thinker. he hides behind the chatter and he bores. his act was cute until about 1986. one interview he had with leeza gibbons he wore a silly hat and mentioned the popularity aspect of being a rock star--gone tomorrow was his implication but he was sticking with the shtick and outgrew his jive that day.

I like the story about how Eddie met Nirvana. Priceless.

Strangely on the Amazon site, the book has been criticized for being derivative since it seemed to a lot of reviewers that the author didn't do much interviewing.

Granted, it's not an autobiography like Slash or M' Crue's The Dirt but it's still a very good book. Even Eddie said in the foreword that despite what others say, you should read the book.

In the Everybody Wants Some book, it's mentioned that DLR first met Henry during one of his first visits to punk clubs.
