you have to keep hopping out of your vehicle and throw him, then get back in. Plus there are alot of driving parts where you need to put him in the car, just do that and drive like medium speed and he should stay in.

how did you get the gnome to stay in the car when the hunter chopper is chasing you? (the one that gets you after you encounter that advisor in the barn) i've tried and tried but he keeps falling out and i end up dying trying to run with him.

do the invincibility cheat and wait for the chopper to stop shooting (reloading gun), then shoot the gnome up ahead in the road and then get into the car and drive up to meet the gnome and then just keep repeating these steps until you reach the end. There's sometimes where he has to ride with you but most of the time you can shoot him up ahead with your grav gun, follow where he lands and go meet him.
