Have you ever tried this slower and more melancholy? It is *Weeping* Willow after all. Anyway, both my parents went to WSU. They graduated in 1956 I think.

Yeah I tried, but I prefer it played at a quicker tempo. I do play it slower sometimes when I'm in the mood....but for the most part, I like ragtime for the quicker jumpier tunes, so that's probably why I decided to play this one at a faster pace...

I just uploaded my version of it. You will be shocked how slow I take it, but it is so beautiful that way especially on a grand piano. There are many fast rags, but I don't think WW is one of them.

Thanks brotha....I play whenever I get the chance...I'm workin a lot during the summer right now so I haven't really been able to play often....but up at school (where I have most of my vids recorded) I play nearly every other day I'd say....Scott Joplin's my fav, I dig ragtime...about the Maple Leaf Rag, I actually know how to play it, but I don't have it down near well enough to put up on here haha maybe in the future some time....glad you liked my vids bro!

The subtitle of "Weeping Willow" is "Rag Time Two Step" which indicates a tempo of 100 to 120 BPM for the kinetics of such a dance to work. Your tempo is correct!
