i had the same problem i was getting so frusterated, i got a chain of 40 reset like 20-25 times then accidentally clicked up into a patch with gastrodon

so i went to a friends house hung out came back tried for shinx it stopped randomly at 25 then i went to voltorb again and without even a shiny patch ( well i didnt notice one) i got a shiny voltorb on like the 9th chain lol super stoked its a + speed nature too :D

i hate chaining i have 1 chain of 51 and 2 other from like 45 and never got a shiny!!! is that just bad luck

When you reach chain 30-40 you can start resetting for a shiny patch. Chain 40 will give you the best odds 1 in 204. If you're only trying to find a shiny pokemon stop advancing your chain, stop at 40. You can get lucky and find a shiny patch without having to reset the radar, but usually you'll need to reset the radar around 1-200+ times to find a shiny patch. Good luck.

lol i got a shiny voltorb with a chain of one! but i was an idiot because i made it evolve into electrode! :(

Z33 I watched a vid yesterday and in the description the guy said you get higher chances the higher ur chain above 41? is that true?

Most chainers as well as I do believe that after chain 40, the odds of finding a shiny doesn't increase.

I chained Voltorb today and got 4 shinies! The chain broke at 45 but I'm happy with 4 ^^
