The last logo music, which was actually the FIRST Universal Pictures logo music, was composed in Jimmy McHugh in the 1930s. It was more recently used in 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid'.
Universal Studios (sometimes called Universal City Studios or Universal for short), a subsidiary of NBC Universal, is one of the six major American movie studios. Its main motion picture production/distribution arm is called Universal Pictures. Its production studios are located at 100 Universal City Plaza Drive in Universal City, California. Distribution and other corporate offices are based in New York City
ps what film is the 3rd clip from? it sounds like one of the recent batman movies or something epic and i recognise it... it sounds like its been made for a specific film and that its not just the archetypal universal tune.
It's Columbia's theme. Batman was Warner Bros so you might be thinking of Wanted, which has a good uni tune. None of these are actual Universal themes.
That's not universal. That's music from other logos. The 2nd one is from Marion films. Watch the Terminator. you'll see the logo of that movie is not this but sounds the same.
To Me, a logo of a film's distribution company will tell me how popular it will be. Universal, Warner, Fox, and Disney are the good ones. Sony and Lionsgate are the so-so ones. And MGM, Paramount, and Wienstein Company make all the shitty ones.
Pft okay? First of all u might be lieing, second of all i dont really care if it is a professional work or not, i still think its the best. Read before you post stuff bud....
The Universal 75th Anniversary logo was breathtaking. First time I saw it in a movie theater I thought it was the actual movie because of the sheer number and variation of stars in the sky, the depth and quality of the Earth, and the vast, enveloping scale of the orchestra in full surround sound.
what about the one used nowadays more. y didnt u put that one.

hhmha1997 11 months ago
@hhmha1997 Columbia distributed Stuart Little, the music was derrived from the Columbia Logo. Therefore that seems logical.

I'm not sure about that. I think the Warner Bros logo has more inventiveness when it appears on screen.

What's always bugged me about these logos is they put the deserts and vegetation in the wrong places. The make half the Sahara green!

I think it's kind of ironic that the company is called "Universal", but they only show Earth.
EttaFalconer 4 years ago
Irony is not the exact phrase here. They mean "Universal"as in crossing nations, cultures, borders, themes.
