Some really nice photo's here. I was born in Francis Terrace, and we later moved to the flats in Fairy Street. My early teen years were spent living in the piggeries. I've been to many places throughout my life, and I can honestly sat that the people of Liverpool are the best in the world. I miss my home and my scousers very much. thank you for all the nice comments, glad its bringing good memories..i lived in arkwright street from 1972 and moved in 1983 when they started knocking all the masonettes down and got rid of a good community..........i went to penryn street shool and moved on to rosccomon school.......x

@liverpoolnatsel Forgive my ignorance, but as iv never been to LIVERPOOL I only know what I hear, but maybe you could tell me, dose any of the OLD city and surrounding area still exist ? I hear lots of reports about how everything is being transformed and modernized but is this really true ? And what about famous docks ? Is any of it still in use ? I would be interested to hear.

i grew up around netherfield road in the 60s :) the falats in conway street was called brenford heights and millburn heights i remember the old stingo being open

Great Pictures of the Everton Area Memories will be cherished forever that's one thing that can't be taken away.

great to see my old stomping ground being a ex Rossy lad from Arkwright st used to spend most nights after school either hanging around greaty or going the Shewsy club(caged 5 aside pitch or the downstairs disco i think they called it MADDOX) i recall my younger days playing in a steery(gocart) in arky and the buzz every sat morn with Greaty market PS just read agood book about this area called the lost tribes of Everton by a falla called Ken Rogers some great pictures in it...

Great video i used to live in THE BRADDOCKS neatherfield rd but moved to woolton around 1977 when i was 7. I would luv to get old of some of those pictures. Can you help?

a big thank you natalie for posting this i used to live in millburn heights back in the 60s i remember the toffe shop st georges heights the barrocks it bought a lot of happy memories from when i was a kid playing on the olla as well i even went to roscommon rd school oh happy days thanks a million for the nice old pictires

I lived there in Cavour House an then moved down south and stayed here. It was true about rats they were under the floor boards an head to get the health people out to sort it .
