More- seashells, beach glass and bits of driftwood make great ornaments.
I set aside tiny teddy bears found on sale after last Christmas- put ribbon on to hang them on the tree. Visitors' kids can choose one to take home. This year, for adults to take, I made vegetable seed envelopes with origami paper.
My sister makes stars out of white cardboard covered with white pearlescent buttons.
Fun ideas.

really neat ideas. i haven't decorated in years, but just might....
for years, took the top 7-8ft of a bay tree, stripped the leaves off, painted either black or white, w/only small white lights for xmas, and
w/other items for different holidays throughout the year. had it in my pub, so it accumilated many neat and wierd 'decorations'.

Some pine branches arrangements either outdoors or in tacked on to or fit to a old 2X4" or scrap wood can look nice
Painted Opra? LOL
I love the clue & glitter
I do not miss the pricked fingers from popcorn and or cranberry garlands, using tube pasta is cool too, and no needle.
Jingle all the way........
Thanks for sharing
