What is your current list of modifications and your approximate 0-60 time? I am very interested in purchasing a 97 7.3L and any experience you could lend would be invaluable, thanks in advance. On a side note my dad had a 95 that kicked the bucket at 728,000 miles.

@slingingofstars69 Yes I was, I now have a full straight pipe exhaust. The truck is now as fast as it was in this video with just the stock tuner setting.
10sec? I run 7.6 with poor traction with just and edge juice with attitude. Posted but it's not as good as this one. I can run 8.7 just on level 1. Everything else is stock for now.
@shtr34 You realize the 99's have 30cc bigger injectors stock than the 97's right? That's quite a difference. Of course yours will be faster with an edge juice with attitude.
@cobra5405 Just a little bit of differnce between the F-350 and F-150. Those where always a solid motor though. I'm impressed that this guy is running 10sec with basic stock. I was only getting low 12's when it was stock.
@hammerracing23 Yeah mines not really a barn burner by any means... Yet. An exhaust system with a downpipe would really help. I plan on getting an exhaust system when my taxes come back. After I'm outa high school I'll get injectors in her too.
@caleb505 Wow what kind of EGT's did you see? I have an exhaust and intake but no chip so I don't know what kind of temp to expect when I get my wildman chip
@elxdrummer09 Couldn't tell you, I don't have any guages other than the ones that come on the truck stock lol. I need to get guages though. But uhm if this helps, the oil temp guage only goes up slightly if I'm driving it hard.

are you running the stock downpipe in this video? a tuner does amazing things to these trucks.. but i think the down pipe would make it even better.

@shtr34 i can do 0 to 60 in 6.8 in my 92 f150 302 bone stock it does 40 in 1st gear nothing was tuned ither

I wouldn't put a chip on it without doing an exhaust first. Your EGT's are probably really high

i saw some dyno runs with k&n cold air setup on a 7.3 stroker and people were losing around ten horsepower.

idk bout other diesels but for some reason they lose power for the 7.3 stroker, there great for gas engines though.
