I was in Roseland last night also... this song, more than any other played last night, brought me back to to 1978 in its full, psychedelic glory. I closed my eyes and remembered why I let this ALBUM (yes, vinyl) play from start to finish, over and over again, without interruption. Yes, Ric, you're in touch with my world. This album was released when I was a sophomore in high school. Needless to say, I'd never heard anything like The Cars (well, ok...I remember Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" in 1974.) But THIS song...it always stayed with me. (BTW: It's "You're a flick fandango phony") And it IS an awesome song!
