  • Im going to build a 20 to 30 foot boat similar to yours. I get free lumber from an old abandoned mill on a backstreet nobody knows about.. It has around $100,000 of wood there thats in 2x4's and ply mostly. Its like a boat builders dream.

  • Let's all release are old limiting beliefs about health, money and abundances... we njoy and learn from your efforts.

  • Awesome! You're an inspiration. I too left the sea and took up motorcycles and living in cars and such. Now, all I can think about is building a boat.

  • @BubbaBrazille I would say YES. DO IT!!! There are so many good plans available you can build almost anything you want. A very rewarding experience. Let me know how it goes & take videos.

  • Thanks for a great story, and an inspiring attitude to life and its opportunities my friend! Geoff, from Scotland: biker, engineer and boater!

  • Fine story! Enjoyed your explorations!

Just goes to show you if adventure is in yer blood it has a way of escaping and hauling you with it!

  • Thank you Harry, You're right, if you are an adventurer you have to answer the call.

  • Being our first boat it had lots of problems, wood started rotting, motor to weak. Long story short we sent it to the bottom of a lake(on purpose). This year we plan on building a new flat bottom design we're thinking 18'x10', Lots of fiberglass, and a bigger motor. I have a couple videos one showing our first boat, and the other is a CAD I did for our second we want to build.

  • Wow! You're a very accomplished individual to say the least. I hope one day I can say the same about myself. The jani-j looks sweet.

A couple years ago me and my two buddies built a flat bottom wanna be huck finn boat, 14'x7'. We did a good job considering we didn't have a clue on what a bow or stern was, being broke highschool students didnt help either.
