    Different blocks, different years,

Sittin' on different bitches like its musical chairs

    yae e yae

  • @AntiCitizenJuan benches not bitches...

  • "Godzilla, fought Gargantua, eyes glued to the tube".

This is my favorite part of the song because Godzilla is my favorite monster.

  • "Time flyin she the same person, never matures

All her friends married doin well

She's in the streets yakkety yakkin like she was 12"

    illest part...

  • no cussing.........

  • So he moves with his peers

    Different Blocks different years

Sitting on different benches like its musical chairs

I don't know about you but i think that is one of the greatest lines ever made the flow and all

  • Sick tune! why did nas say "hip hop is dead" when after illmatic, he started getting wack producers on he boards. The original team of producers on illmatic was sick! Large Pro, Q-tip, Premo, Pete Rock. Then he goes and says hip hops dead. Its like hmmmmmm

  • @cyrilsnare hes right it is dead and a rapper like him can make any horrible beat sound good never mind that part just here the words thats all you need to here the words thats why he is the greatest ever

  • @cyrilsnare

illmatic isn't even his best instrumentals. it was written is a better overall album.

  • @RelaxednCaIm stop it dude your sounding dumb

  • @johnlansing14

yeah, everybody says that to me when i say that. but they can't ever explain how illmatic's a better album than his second one.

  • @RelaxednCaIm Go on google and search greatest rap album of all time... there will be 10 + sites that have illmatic as the greatest sound dumb now

  • @johnlansing14 who gives a damn every nas cd is one of the greatest of all time

  • @GreatkingAlexander well give me your opinion which album do you think is better Illmatic or it was written

  • @johnlansing14 between illmatic and it was written that is very tough but by a small margin i ma go with illmatic just because it was his very first mainstream realeased

  • @RelaxednCaIm how about this they both are classics

  • Check my channel. i'm an upcoming MC from stevenage who just wants a voice, i'm sorry for the sound quality in advance but just listen, keep rap real

  • Great Track. If yall are hiphop fans check my first Rap video. Jaxx Feat T-Tyme Hit Em Hard. I'm an up and coming MC from baltimore. Show me some love folks

  • 8 people dont like nas.

  • love it!

  • when he's a senior citizen its gonna be 3rd childhood

  • classic fuck ing shit right here

  • the classic of all classics

  • This Premo beat is SMOOTH

  • soo smooth, nas man what you fuckin waitin for,go holla at the old team, preem, pete, large pro,tip

  • monster

  • Can someone explain the message of thsi song to me? Im confused a lil

  • @YouKnowWho2112 Nas's verse is him talking bout his past but he still manages to relive it in his own way. The other two don't have the luxury to relive their childhoods. They are trapped in it. Never grew out of the excess phases such as sex in the case of the 27yo lady and excess smoking and hanging out living off his mom (31 yo male). They're in their 2nd childhood

  • 2 PAC MAKAVELI album

  • Dis song 4 my niggaz n da Bing,

  • Truth. Return to Illmatic here. Closest he's come on any album. Thing is, I'm not mad if he never re-creates Illmatic. We keep waiting and comparing subsequent albums. But I'm kinda thinking he was sent to deliver Illmatic during our Golden Age and maybe that's it. Cool. The shit he delivered will play in whatever format music plays in until I'm 6 feet under. Illmatic gets passed on like a family heirloom. Peace, Family.

  • @yerpyes word man...pass on the tradition. this is one of the most reflective tracks in any musical genre. Premier and Nas, on this they're on a class of their own

  • Classic

  • " So he moves with his peers. Different blocks , different years // Sittin' on different benches like it's musical chairs// All his peoples moved on in life , he's on the corners at night // With young dudes , it's them he wanna be like // It's sad , but it's fun to him , right? He never grew up // 31 , and can't give his youth up //.....he's in his 2nd Childood"

  • aside from the power of the message of this song...i love how he starts this song and his flow of words and ideas...one of my favorite songs of all time

  • what alot these dumb ass nigggas dont understand is that its not just about the positive part of nas's music or the evil part of eminem's music.....its the poetical content.....the majority of people are too close minded to explore any topics other than the commercial material shit that dont really mean shit to be real......soo if shit like this lame to most of the world...shiiiiid i guess im lame then

  • so good

  • Im in my second childhood :)
