WOW!! we have some pix from the same type of owl [s] here,,we are nature photo buffs too,,are they not awesome,,all birds!!we get white pelicans here in the midwest as well, during migration,,eagles, hawks, herons, egrets, and this year a first for our area, one Osprey, and one lone Loon,,which I dearly love and miss..and again,AWESOME music, and scoring,is this hubbys music as well?? I am going to have to learn to put vids on here some day..thanks,c/u again
They are very beautiful! You are lucky to have gotten to see one up close.
There is a place about 2 hours from my house,"The NC Raptor Center" - they rehabilitate birds of prey (owls, hawks, eagles, falcons)that have been injured. Some of the birds can't be released so they have them in habitats where you can go see them. I went there before I was a "YouTuber". I want to go back and film the birds. They were awesome! Especially the eagles. I didn't realize they were such huge birds.
Sweet. I like the way it keeps looking at you. There is a HUGE owl that lives in my neighborhood, and you can see him sometimes at night, he was outside my porch one night, scared me to death!
Oh my! He is stunning. It doesn't matter that YT squished the video. It is still amazing! We have had a Falcon on our deck (hunting our bird feeder birds - I would love to see owls on a regular basis!
Yep,it would have been great to have had my tripod. I'm just glad he stayed around long enough to get a video of him! He had actually been sitting on my back deck and flew up into that tree when I opened the door to let my dog out. I wish I had seen him before I opened the door.
Whoa, he's gorgeous. We don't have many owls --just native ones but only see them out at night, if you are lucky. We call them pueo (poo-eh-oh). If you press that little gadget on the bottom of the squares within a square, the video looks not so compressed. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Beth! The reason the owl is out in the daytime is because he is out looking for a girlfriend! He seemed very curious about me and my dog. We were standing on my back deck and he just kept looking at us. I wish you could hear them "talk" they do not say,"hoot" like people think - they sound like crazy people just let of an insane assylum. They scream and yell and each one has a different voice. I'm going to try to record some audio of them (if I can catch 'em).
I had never seen one until I moved into the house I live in now. They are all around here. They are amazing to watch and even more amazing to hear them. I wish I could catch some audio of them "talking" to each other.
If you want to see some fantastic birds(owls, eagles, hawks, falcons), you should plan a day trip to the N.C. Raptor Center. It is AWESOME!
That neck action reminds me of myself as a 21-year-old, watching the Houston secretaries strut their heels downtown during their lunch breaks.

I love watching all kinds of wildlife. I live near a lake, so we get alot of ducks, geese, hawks, heron and the owls.
This music came from Incompetech. It is a website that allows you to use their music for free. Yes! You should make videos! It is very easy to do!

NEAT!!! I hope you are able to get audio.
I only got to see an owl once here. It was HUGE (wing span) and it was white. I wish I could have seen it.
I hope your owl finds himself a girlfriend. I bet she went to Target to grab a few things ;)

I wish YouTube hadn't ruined the clarity of this video...

Yeah, YouTube is good about doing that, especially here lately.

Go to carolinaraptorcenterDOTorg. It is an amazing place, where they rehab birds of prey. It is near Lake Norman/Charlotte.
