I remember well buying this album. It came highly recommended by the magazine CMJ and I really had no idea what it would sound like. The mag had a lot of musical credibility so I went to the store and bought it. This album is a little jewel. Few artists sound like PJ and this album is like a long carpet of musical bliss.

She has incredible power, easily felt in her earlier work that only seems to get stronger the softer she sings. It's a vulnerability, a sort of delicacy and raw emotion carries through and almost seems to be amplified the more controlled her work attemts to be. Go Peej,...
