  • Can we still hear PJ Harvey after the big mfk armageddon? Ok. Not so bad. This is very stupid. I do not record anything. You know why? I don't have to. Friends have friends who have friends who do have those mp3/4/5 and that's none of your business. You follow the big money and leave us alone.

  • Ahhh.. I got to know her some years ago.

She's got feelings, behind all the stage-crap dresses.

Listen at night, no lights, cold room, good headphones on then You'll know...

If You are alone, don't do it...... there's a tomorrow to listen again !

  • PJ please come to NZ

  • Polly Jeanius :)

  • She is as haunting as Nico. If not, more.

  • This song... this album. all time mindblower best album catagory for me.

  • what can i say, just love her and wont stop

  • I remember well buying this album. It came highly recommended by the magazine CMJ and I really had no idea what it would sound like. The mag had a lot of musical credibility so I went to the store and bought it. This album is a little jewel. Few artists sound like PJ and this album is like a long carpet of musical bliss.

  • I wish Polly Jean and Nick Cave stayed together, got married, and had ridiculously talented babies. Then the next generation might have stood a chance.

  • she's highly under-appreciated and under-rated.

  • How can anyone dislike this? Polly Jean is a genius.

  • just heard her sing backup on a couple mark lanegan songs (hit the city and methamphetamine blues) and thought she had a beautiful voice. im liking what i hear so far

  • Kinda reminds me of Portishead.

  • love that piano lick

  • I Heard for the first time on NPR Fresh Air. Patti Smith who I enjoy has nothing on this Artist. Wow if she would stay in America instead of England.

  • So happy she is playing... Sunday, April 17... COACHELLA 2011!!

  • @sluttymess

You lucky Bitch. We are missing out here in New Zealand....she came a couple of years ago, But Coachella would be a sensory overload.

  • I hadn't heard of PJ before. Was 'surfing' youtube and came across this. It's a beautiful song. Will definitely be getting it.

  • just perfect

  • I think Polly Jane is kind of an aquired taste, like all the best things are. Once you aquire the taste, though, you are hooked forever! PJ is just great

  • @fubar50cat

That would be Polly Jean :P

  • just love it!thanx stav,i love u too..

  • You wouldn't believe she's almost 40 years old. Beautiful woman. Beautiful art.

  • so fuckin great...

  • look back 100 years from now

    Pj

will stick it to the whole pack

  • this songs pretty inspiring

  • yoru listening to the crown jewel of England

  • off of one of my most cherished albums ever;

this is what pain and sadness sound like.

  • @punkhermit

    Yes, and it's beautiful nonetheless

  • @punkhermit what album is this off of

  • @ihaveaverybadcold is this desire?

  • @punkhermit i dont know maybe.....just wondering what album it was off of

  • @ihaveaverybadcold the album is called 'is this desire?' google it.

  • @punkhermit huh

  • You are so right she makes me moan. the world is lucky to have her. I love you Polly Jean Harvey.

  • All the mainstream singers suck so bad compared to this...one of the better songs I've ever heard, no shit!

  • thank you PJ, I fucking love what you've done for me !

  • Great song. Great album. Most dark, serene, tormented and intense.

  • PATTI SMITH is in her soul!!!

    just compare this with horses

  • She has incredible power, easily felt in her earlier work that only seems to get stronger the softer she sings. It's a vulnerability, a sort of delicacy and raw emotion carries through and almost seems to be amplified the more controlled her work attemts to be. Go Peej,... Now I must try and swallow the lump in my throat down...

  • this song kills me. *klls me*. it is *amazing*.

  • On which album is this beautiful song?

  • "Is this desire?" Amazing album

  • I believe__

  • thnx for uploading! not that easy to come across that song on youtube

  • great song.

  • When listening to PJ , the first thing that comes to mind -is a term that's often used but rarely appropriate...genius.But I bet she would prefer to be considered....HONEST.

  • @jjfeighns I 've said this to the point of becoming a mantra-PJ works on such a high plane -other's cannot steal from her .No one would believe the thief's sudden eloquence.

  • <3 pj

  • Beautiful song

  • Une belle chanson intemporelle est un moment de grace. Comme celle ci.

  • amazing song

  • this is going to sound corny as hell but her music really touches my soul lol. it goes deep down and i like it that way. shes so underrated. but i kinda like that she usually flies under the radar except amongst the lucky people who know of her :]

  • @chemicalxeyes Not corny — it does. Though she's succesfull enough not to be resttricted to the happy few… Which is great ! We need more talented people to cross the line without compromising !

  • @chemicalxeyes Imagine.....BEING under the radar..... and totally exposed at the same time. "That would be PJ!" That is what makes a true artist.....! She is only under the radar to those that posses no foresight or forbearance!

  • BEAUTIFUL!, i love her

  • @tavosatriani

you can't have her cause she is in love with me

  • the saddest song of miss Polly :( one of the most beautiful too, though.

  • is she a miss? i have an impression i've seen a picture of her with a little child, am I wrong?

  • @mmasny

Yes, she's a miss and she has no children.

  • @mmasny

haha, teraz zobaczyłam, że jesteś z Polski :)

  • pozdruffki :)

  • flow river flow sometimes fast sometimes slow, always on the go

  • one of my favorite pj songs. this album is so mysterious

  • 3:36 : that's a minidress!! lol

    beautiful song PJ

  • Beautiful to hear and to look at. She said in an interview, that "she wanted....things to do ON THIS PLANET". Part of her seems really not of this world.

  • Swoon! Such a beautiful song - sad but serene.

  • love her

  • she`s okay

    when she rocks,she`s awesome

  • Maybe the my favourite of Polly Jane,

    simple wonderful. Melancholic magic atmosphere...

  • this is my fav cd of her.

  • hey pj, if you're listining, i love this song baby..xoxo

  • I don't have the words to describe how this woman's music effects me.

  • Me too, only PJ could describe PJ adequately.

  • sta canzone mi annienta

  • esatto. fonde.

  • It's tristesse; what else could I feel hearing it?

  • she is amazing i need her songs at the moment im in a dark place

  • I love PJ and I love this song. She, in my opinion, is the more modern equivalent of leonard cohen.

  • pj?????????

    where is my mind?????????????

  • kinda ominous-sounding song...but it sounds good! i like pj harvey's voice

  • Yeah, ominous-sounding and very foreboding, but very atmospheric! I always think of overcast, dark, cold winter days when I hear this song.
