Thanks! I would have never seen the blue eyes if she hadn’t come so to me. 2 weeks before this video, I saw a group of does straining to look inside a hedge of forsythia. Later, when the baby started to emerge from the hedge little by little, I realized they must have been watching the birth. So I know this fawn was 2 weeks old.
Thank you! That song is one of the background music choices that comes with the Flip video camera software--I think it's called "angel" something. It seemed to capture the feeling of the experience!
Gorgeous video, ahvideos100! And the music is perfect. It deserves to be seen by more people. By the way, I was surprised to see how the mother was trusting you with her fawn. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks, codenik! I just tried to stay very still when the fawn came right over. You can see where I almost can't get the shot because he or she is so close to me. I still see this baby who is growing up nicely.
Is it just me or are deer exclusively found in green and idyllic locations? I guess that's why we have none here in Australia.

Had a similar encounter the other day. Although I stayed in my car. Figures it would the one day I forget my digital camera.
Your delight is perfectly understandable, but it was not a good idea to get that close to the fawn with the mother nearby.
Does can become violent when it comes to protecting their baby.
