try to mute the rest of the strings whit your thumb so you can rake across and don't worry about individual string you are picking. that will allow your right hand to relax.also try to play some funk rhythm to loosen your right hand. for example "Couldn't stand the wearer " is a gr8 one
make sure you're doing the picking correctly. also, it seems like your right hand is moving alot more than it needs to, and i think that that might be why you're having trouble with the speed.
