hey i was wondering were i can order on and how much because u said in your commont up tope that it is '' made to order''? also if you could make dierections on how to make it?
@legoteddy ok so it half price were would i buy one because i went to the web site and i would not find were to buy one. Also if it is half price how much in usa dallor bills? ex. $00.00
Hey nicjasno! I'm a huge fan and am currently working on a v4 based on your design. I just have two simple questions: 1, what is the angle that the switches are offset from the main crankshaft, and 2, how do you keep the tubing on the air pisol? A response would be great! Thanks in advance
Thank you. I have looked at almost all of your stuff. And I have to say. You have mad skills. I have made some very technical stuff but these engines are insane.
Would u mind giving me a list of the sites u order parts from? I really want to get my hands on some pneumatics and the awesome little chain links. And what is the most common failure? And. Lol do u bore out ur pneumatic pistons and switches.
@AKNinjafluff Yes, some parts of the crankshaft are glued together, to ensure perfect reliability, aldough the engine can be dissasembled complety without ungluing anything.
@125meadowbrook While the internals of the switches are precisely the same, the studded one is MUCH easier to mount in engines and takes up less space.
have you ever used valve casings to use the exhaust in a cycle, reusable air? this way a more efficient gas, or whatever could be used, I did it with my engine and it turned pretty good for 10 year old and rusty cylinders. =] without it i doubt i would have gotten 10 turns on the thing, but as usual, very good engine =]
Only if there's oscilation, and no lubrication. In a V4 or V8, wear is not measurable. And i have run the test engine extensively, in the car, and out of the car.
Hey nic, I really like your ingenuity in all of your creations. I was wondering where you got all your legos, mainly the more rare ones (gears, sprockets, chain, penumatics, and others). I'm sure you've compiled a huge collection over time, but do you know of any sets containing just those types of parts?
nice motor..i build a 4 cylinder star motor
doesn't run that great than this V4
video is coming soon

@AKNinjafluff i get all parts from bricklink. I do bore cylinders and modify switches.

You know what will be the best? The modern W-16 engine just like the Bugatti Veyron. Good luck making that one!

Very cool, just wondering how long before all the axles get destroyed? High RPMs + LEGO usually equals bad things.
