ohhh and um the lead singer doesnt seem to have a very strong voice....he can sing well, yes, but it seems weak against the female lead and the rest of the choir and a strong standing band

@aussiechicriss I think it's more that the way they've split the song up between the different singers he ends up singing the less powerful segments rather than him actually having a less powerful voice. A great job all round in my view.

The guy who sings that part was handpicked by the band to lead the musical We Will Rock You. So bite your tongue. They know what they're doing more than you.

Sure, he can sing all right, he has the technique and he reaches the registry needed to sing this.

Still, I don't know why Queen chose him. To sing the songs that Freddie sang, you need a powerful voice, you need a voice with charisma, with a dramatic quality. This guy sounds more like a weeping emo kid, he ruins the song.

I haven't seen We Will Rock You, but, given what I see in this video, it probably is just a money-making machine. Queen is Queen, this is just rubbish.

Spike Edney of Queen was intricate in the making of We Will Rock You. Brian and Roger were heavily involved in casting. Both have played live for it. It's a means to keep the music alive. The person in question fits the roll of the main character very well. It isn't about money. Each member is worth over $100 million (US) a piece. They don't need money.
