  • I'm tired of people saying Travis Barker is the best drummer in the world just cause he played Snare in high school. I bet you he never uses paradiddles, flam drags, triplet rolls, cheeses, or flam 5s. The only "rudiments" he uses are probably the berta, and flams.

  • somebody masturbates alot

  • He does doubles towards the end because he's tired of doing singles!

    Get it straight

  • @lij2015 No i didnt play any doubles but yes, i did get tired.

  • He looks like Beavis.

  • @HYPERGETIC I havent heard that from anyone before.

  • awesome but i hate it when they put music into a sport thumbs up if u agree

  • @drummerboy2991 isn't that called DCI

  • that dude must be insane at speed metal!

  • Trigger much? Lol :D

  • when he jacks off he is already done thats how fast he is

  • He must be good with the ladies. If you know what i'm sayin'.

  • wow

  • are you bionic? no no no i only like the girls

  • Yes....I know... I've always known please look at every comment below you responding to what I said. I was saying that because I can't do doubles that fast...

  • he couldn't play at all after this cuz he got carpal tunnel

  • @psychomike443 Yup I know. I was just saying it cause I don't even think I can play doubles that fast haha.

  • Absolute Insanity!

  • Thats beast:)

  • Effortless, it seems. :O

Now let's see some one footed heel-toe technique with the other foot doing the swivel technique, added to that snare pattern.

    Hahaha.

  • MOTHER! FUCKER!

  • chops, anyone?

  • sounds like someone farting. . ha.

  • carpouls tounnel anyone?

  • looks like someone has been practicing......lol

  • its a pad most likely because if it were a drum there would be no consistencies. Drumheads stretch and become loose as peple play on them, there is no way to tighten any 2 drumheads to the same exact extent. These differences would cause differences in rebound and overall speed. thats why they use a pad, there is no tightening and they are all made the same

  • @spartey01 Its totally possible to play fast single strokes on a snaredrum. I will try just to make sure.

  • Comment removed

  • @spartey01 all pads are made the same? ok, go from a vic firth heavy hitter, to a real feel, to a vater pad, to any ludwig pad, and then tell me they're all the same.

  • @jeremywilson15147 are u retarded lol, in all these vids for worlds fastest drummer, they use the same pad not exact pad but same model. Even if u used the same model drum every time, it wouldnt be consistent between players

  • @spartey01 wow i must be retarded... i just re-read what you said, and my response to it, and don't know wtf i was thinking the first time i read what you wrote (the comment i replied to). sorry. my bad. congrats to me for making myself look like a jackass :)

  • missionary lol jk

  • repetitive stress?

  • they always do the speed tests on a pad. they should do one with the snare. it makes a difference.

  • Gotta love the necessary grip-flip...

First time I blinked right then and thought I was losing my mind...

  • that was fast. what pad is that???

  • i think joseph manuel beat this at the 09 i&e performances. Joseph dropped a stick, picked it up and continued. i think the drop, very much like the flip gives your hands a break, so you can release the lactic acid and restart.

  • A fitting tribute to EVH, who invented drums.

  • whats the world record for this ???

what would the catergaory be under and how do you count

  • dude......his hands r barely movin...

  • It's all in the fingers

  • flam drag-a-diddle them .. . . . . then i'll be impressed

  • that was mad fast

  • Strängnäs!!! :D

  • INSANE!

THAT is why I played Contra!! lol

  • First thing I said when I saw this was "damn I gotta work on my doubles." haha

  • @bryan770 im pretty sure these are singles

  • @fingers12 Yup they are. I know they are I just mean I don't even think I can do doubles that fast haha.

  • @bryan770 those are singles

  • @blackiechan110 yes I know I was just saying that because I don't think I can do doubles that fast....

  • @bryan770 I'm pretty sure those are singles.

  • @bryan770 those are singles...

  • I wonder how many points he lost due to switching the grip- never seen that move before during a speed run

  • I was wondering the same thing, maybe about 6-8 beats lol

  • I'm pretty sure this guy has said he switched grips because his hands cramped up. It wasn't a move as much as a necessity.

  • =O my friend Waine Oien won 2nd place in that competition, just search his name... And don't worry i'm not trying to advertise a video or anything.

  • IQuanaCentersnare is delusional. Never in your life did you play 1198 singles in one minute. I have seen your rudiments videos and you couldn't get close to something like that. And if you used a Drumometer it was without a doubt double triggering. Next time please don't talk like a fool unless you have proof.

  • I know i cant proof it.

But What can a video say about it?...

Maybe the vid's are years en years old??

You cant compair playing single strokes this fast with rudimental drumming. And yes it was a Drumometer.. And no double triggering ;) ...And btw, i did not play the single strokes with matchedgrip, but with traditional grip. And my ability's have improved over the last few years very much!!

  • Comment removed

  • you've been playing for 15 years and can now just play ditty? ditty isn't a big deal over here anymore, man. it's kind of an old joke like "hey, can you play ditty". and a score of 1198 isn't something you can get just randomly. i'm sure if you were that good at speed drumming, you'd have some awards to show for it. but in the meantime, it's ok, it's only youtube...no need to impress anyone with false numbers...

  • ok im sorry but i really dont think drags, "cheezers", and inverted flams are that hard... I was playing them in 9th grade (age 14/15) with my high school marching band and indoor drumline...I feel bad that it took you 15 years to learn how to basically play a diddle with a tap at the end.....(a drag)

  • You didnt understand my, sry for my englisch.

till just a year ago, i only played traditional (like miltairy band.) That music is not difficult at al. since one year i am playing in a showband who has drumline that plays in drumcorps style. With a european style, snares, tenors, timbales, cymballs and bassdrums... before that i never thought about playing in drumcorps style. So thats why i am only playing like that since a few months.

  • Playing them isn't the exceptional part. It is if you can play them very well with precision and clarity and good technique, at faster tempos, and in context of literature.

  • speed druming is wack...play music!!

  • dude you have to have chops to play anything... rudiments are the basis of all drumming

  • You're retarded denvermarathon; do you think any of the snare drummers on lines across the U.S. have weak rudiment chops; how 'bout some of the most talented jazz drummers such as Buddy Rich?

  • really dude wrong... even playing a standard drumset rock rhythm is a rudiment... you have no idea how to drum do you? cuz if you do and you cant play rudiments you probably suck!

  • Drummer without rudiments? Dont we call that like Travis Barker Syndrome or something?

  • do you realize barker was in marching band? any snare drummer coming from a marching band knows atleast the basic rudiments...and just because he plays punk doesnt mean he cant play otherthings... I mean he has played with such drummers as neil peart and dave weckl.

  • he probably sucked on marching band.

  • Plus Blink 182 isn't punk.

  • Travis was the Blue Devils Golden Boy on snare for a while.

  • @mjgaffney1 haha neil pert and dave weckyl laughed that mother fucker to shame, barker is a fucking joke dude that guy cant drum for shit

  • @Eskew42 Quite the opposite. This guy plays Scottish-snare on a professionally.

  • @Eskew42 um... travis barker knows his rudiments and uses them quite nicely in his pieces with blink 182, after all he played snare in marching band for three years, dumbass

  • @Eskew42 why travis barker syndrome? you realize there are plenty of famous drummers out there a lot worse than travis right?

  • @Eskew42 oh and hes doing doubles

  • @Eskew42 Nah its called Nick Cannon Syndrome

  • @Eskew42 Sry but you're an idiot to say Travis Barker is a drummer without rudiments!

  • fucks sake! the noise of the crowd was so annoying!

  • Nice technique!

  • no thats not possible

  • He is not the fastest, mike mangini's got the highest with 13 or 12 hundred strokes

  • yeah, but this kid is/was younger than 21...

  • Re: bendrumsalot: World's Fastest Drummer (WFD) is the official name for registered speed drumming contests which use singles as its measurement. This is the DCI version of WFD which is fast but has never produced a world record. Yes, the current record is held by Mangini with 1247, followed by J. Afanador, Tom Grossett and Matt Smith (who holds the trad grip record). You can use either trad or matched grip. World championships are usually held yearly and are larger than this with huge prizes.

  • is that single stroke or double

  • singles

  • Put your hand under that.. lmao

  • his right hand isnt moving

  • its all in the fingers!

  • lol the kid in the back in yellow looks scared

  • lol

  • dude you cant even see his hand movin dat crazy

  • This guy is good, but Matt Smith and Tom Grosset (in the video responses) are much faster at this, like scary fast. Everyone here should check them out.

  • dude wtf is up with the static?? and wat bout that kid in the red shirt on far right? it was like he was likin the air!!

  • Check out TOM GROSSET in the video repsonses! He's WAY faster!!

  • Geek squad's got chops.

  • it sounds like a dirt bike

  • I know his secret. He's a robot. ^^

  • OMFG Hes A MAchine!

  • you just know hes guna hav repetativ strain injury when hes older hahahah. . .suka thats wot u get for being so fast!

  • It's like his hands weren't even moving

  • Real drumming is elsewhere, speed is just one of the many things that a good player must have...

    Anyway, he's incredibly fast! O.O

  • True, I'm an average drummer at best but I sound better than I am because of fast double bass rolls

  • dang that sounds like a helicopter

  • the fastest now is 1207bpm i think

set by that mike M. dude...

  • No the record right now is 1247 held by Mike Mangini. I put a video response of me doing 1156 bpm if you wanna check that out but my fastest is 1194 bpm. You can find that in my video section too if you're interested.

  • dude i just peed a little

  • i roll that fast :P

  • omg (mouth drop)

  • that guy must have forearms of steel lol

  • *spit my pepsi against the wall* woooooooooH!!!!!!!

  • dang

  • ya but that wud be hard

    to keep up with

  • think how much faster he would be if he lowerd his stick heights about 2 inches!

  • seriously

  • also when he switched from match to trad. lol

  • yeah he souldnt have switched

  • I believe he's already stated that he had to switch grips because he was getting tired.

  • but your still usiing the same amount, if not more, ooof energy with both grips

  • No, he was cramping up with one grip so he switched to the other. He wouldn't have finished had he not switched. These guys say that one minute run is brutal. It amazes me that people like that Matt Smith kid can do this for several minutes at a time without ever getting tired, and much faster than this guy.

  • But each grip uses different muscle groups.

  • At about 120 they could be 64ths

At 60 they could be 128ths

Just depends on what the tempo is

  • Are those 64th's or 32nd's?

  • Study notevalues! :) They can be anything. They could be 16th notes at a bpm of about... 260 maybe.

  • Comment removed

  • Cant find my metronom but if i remember correctly i played 1020strokes and not 1038 which it says (i played twice and did 1038 the second time) 16th at 260 would be... 1040 so i guess that could be about right... right? Cheers

  • Paradiddles... hmm... tricky at that tempo. Blast beats are fun!

  • i'd love to hear a blast beat out of that guy, holy shit

  • hehe now play me paradiddles like that :P

  • wow he can play singles

now try to play real music

    *cough tenors cough*

  • dat deadly but try it traditional

  • Are those single notes?

  • Hey, yes they are. And Mateo, yes my left hand did cramp :) My left hand matched grip chops aint the best but somehow i can play faster that way so i just went for it :)

  • thats fukin amazing

  • no....i didnt watch it all the way through, and yea i feel like an idiot now, but nice, with the traditional as well.

  • he probably had to do that case his hand was cramping..... and that is oh my god fast wtf man im having fun trying to play the sextuplets through my solo at 180 lol thats just for a second i have to play them hes sitting there playing at like 10203030949459459 miles an hour

  • try it traditional

  • um can anyone say carpletunnel?

  • Anyone hear a helicoptor?

  • until i saw his face I thought the guy was like 80 - he's got some old man arms

  • Thats the first time ive ever heard anyone say that.

  • th3

i thought the same exact thing lol

  • a dont no how to get my vids on

  • dats fast.. and that sounds like a helicopter.hehe.

  • i can do 1123 drumbeats in 60 secs and im twelve

  • can we see a video of that

  • fuck you get that giant cock out of your ass

  • sorry if it sounded negative. i was actually impressed

  • oh sure

  • well i can do 1124 drumbeats in 60 seconds and im 11

  • i can do one billion in a quarter of a second and im 3... lying on the internet doesnt make you cool LOL

  • rofl good one man

  • i rely dont play my drums i more into guitar

  • so why waste all your time telling people that dont give a shit what you do?

  • what was the tempo for tthat?

  • a heck of alot more than i could do... i tried to tap it on my met and its max is 300 so naturally it was at 300.. so its above that ^^

  • thats just fuck crazy....

  • where is the drum?

  • well...how do you comment to a video like that?

  • i'm impressed, that's for sure.

i wonder if he's using trigger finger on the right hand.....?

  • Trigger fingers? :)

  • pushing the drumstick down using a fulcrum sort of system, with your middle finger and ring finger, it's a bit hard to learn at first.

  • He's holding it loose in the right hand, and using the middle finger to push it, and then when it hits his hand, he hits it with the middle finger again, if you keep this at a good rate, you can achieve a very high tempo.

  • =O holy crap

  • Wow that takes some fuckin' stamina..

  • yeah, its suppose to be single strokes

  • Hi hade the highest run =) I was in the same corp =)

  • lol, that better be a typo cuz i can get 1119 drums beats in 60 seconds aswell. and im 14,

  • OMG u can barely see his hands movin...

  • OOOOOOOO.MMMMMMMMMM.GGGGGGGGGGGG

  • not nearly as fast as Mike Mangini.

  • Yeah i know man Mike is a monster. I wont even try to get as fast as him :)
