I am a 43 year old Gursikh. Jarnail SIngh B gave me Amrit when I was 13. I can tell you with some authority, I have never heard kirtan like Bhai Manpreet Singh. He is in a class by himself. I have heard Rare Wale kirtani jatha since I was a child but this is something outstanding. The Sikh community needs this to insti devotion on our youth. Chardi Kala, Bhain Manpreet SIngh ji.

And Yes the sound popularly called "tumbi on tabla" is produced not by using kara......but by the tabla hammer.Just by placing it on the khaal's black portion.

im not sure well sometimes it leaves marks if you press it to hard but the sound is good. If you just place it gently on the tabla i think it makes a better sound

Its done by putting a kara on the tabla and playing it and it makes that sound

Vaheguroooo..... The veerjee doin tablye dhee sevaa is Veer Mahabeer Singh Jee... and the sound can also be made if your use the tabla hammer. It is bad for the tabla if you do it wrong. (Hammer + top of the tabla = BAD)
