  • at 1:25, there is an interesting pair of shurikens on the bottom left of the screen.

Did you use a special throwing method for these?

  • Hi zeong77,

It is by nomal one spin throw.

I put an ax style and Shuriken together.

I made it in "pretty old days"

  • Oh, it does look like a spiked mace. or a tetsumari + bo shuriken type of tool.

    A very interesting concept.

I will remember this tool for a long time.. :)

  • Mumyouan's CD.

  • cool weapon watch my vidéo good fighter 1 2 3 4

  • I watched your Nice Nunchaku.Thank you.

    But next was interesting, too

    "Journe'e entre Gars Part 1"

You and you friend have a good amusement place!

  • Thank :P We have the ability to have fun with nothing XD

  • great video!

Do you know or have a video that shows how to tie the ... rope.. looking thing to the knife?

  • Yes, it is commercial knife just partly.

There is the knife which I created by myself too.

However, it is my own Shuriken almost.

    Present increases than those days.

    An experimental-model is about 660.

  • Sensei, I have practiced some of your throwing methods! I will record it and try to upload it. I used 3-5 inch long 3.04mm-6.08mm thick drill bits that I shaved using commercial grinder. I wanted to know. The shuriken you use has some rope/string tied on the end of it. Do you have videos of how to tie them?

Anyways. THANK YOU SENSEI! Your techniques really work! I will upload them before the end of this week.

  • Please watch next vidoe.

  • hello

you have one very nice collection

    this amazing

    good job 5 stars

    best regards

  • Thank you.

  • ok ill go check tht out

  • kool y dont you make a tutorial how to make a simple shuriken for the ppl who dnt hav any

  • Please look at HouzanSuzuki of my another account.

There are videos of a lot of guidance.

  • Making a shuriken is very simple, buy a rod of square or circular metal, cut it into two stocks, then sharpen it with a grinder, or you could buy metal tent spikes, and cut of the ends. I used to do that. If you wat to make them just as the shinobi did, buy long nails or square shape, and cut off the ends. For Hira shuriken, buy a sheet of metal, cut it into around 3 inch squares, then draw the design, I suggest a Togakure senban, and cut it out, then sharped the tips, and blacken it.

  • well i figured sum of tht

  • are they homemade, buy or both

  • both me thinks

  • Homemade 90%,

    given article 5%,

    5% that I bought.

  • Shishou, who is the artsit of this song? I know the name of the song however, not the artist. If possible, could you tell me?

  • 500? I wish I had that many :O

  • i think the song sounds earthy.

  • woo... the song wuite scary

  • woo... the song quite scary

  • cool and eerie music where did u get it from

  • hmmm deadly... lol

  • i like the ones at the bottom left at 1:15

  • im afraid of u now!!! X-O

  • my last message was to

    IchigoKurosaki012

  • WhiteNinjaBoyy:

Hitler takes this "nazi star" from Vikings, and they were mean it as a Sun symbol

    500 shurikens! You're crazy, man :P but it's very impressive. That's cool :

  • swastika came from asia not europe, it simbolise star or god

  • Actually, it came from India or somewhere around there, and it meant peace.

  • it is the buhdist sign of peace backwards :)(:

  • Yep, thats exactly what it is.

  • OMG! Where do i get a copy of that book? And those were pretty awesome.. i want them lol =D

  • It is the old book which it got from an acquaintance studying Shuriken.

Japanese old book may look attractive to a foreign person.

However, a quality of content of this book is not good, content is very dull.

A book of Mr.K.Naruse has scarcity value to know you well.

  • cool

  • None of them are shuriken, these are all throwing needles and knifes, i even saw a tanto sword in there lol

  • There is much Shurikens which he got from an instructor of other traditional Japanese Shuriken is included in this.

There will be nothing a knowledge you.

  • Dude, you must not know much about shuriken, those are not needles, they are BO-SHURIKEN, and also throwing knives are involved in the video.

  • shu-ri-ken means "weapon throewd by hand"... it can be a star and it can be also a knife (a kunai for example..) there are many types of shurikens like hira (3-7 arms star) happa (8 arms star) itaken (looks like cuted end of sword) bo (many on this movie) and senban which means, that shuriken wasn't thick more than 2mm

  • Nice Variety of Shuriken. I like the music to, it fits perfectly, as though your a Ninja in fuedal japan, sneaking into a camp at night. By the way, a quick question, Should I sharpen both sides of a Bo-Shuriken, or just one, oh, and if a sharpen just one, should I wrap the dull side in twine or cloth or something?

  • yep...aren't they called "Kunai"??

  • Lin,

Kunai is "a tool".It is not originally a weapon.

    Next is a digression.

America makes a lot of kind of a replica of Hira-Shuriken(Kuruma-ken or Sha-ken) than Japan.

A Japanese maker does not make a reproduction product, because there is not demand and it is not done business.

  • yeh, shurikens are the ninja stars

  • You clearly dont know what youre talking about illusionNpuzzles, there are many different types of shiriken, the stars are hira as mentioned in the video and "kunai" as seen in naruto is not a shuriken. It was a fuedal japanese tool hich was adapted to suit the needs of farmers who were too poor to buy any weapons. They used them as weapons but thaey were not expressly made for that purpose

  • Kunai where used as garden trowels and a weapon for farmers lol and weren't ever used for throwing, they were so heavyyou wouldnt be able to throw them, only jab and stab lol

  • thats more or less what i was trying to say.

  • Also, they were as you said "tools", but they were as TheAppleGangster said.

  • theres a swastika shuriken in the book

  • Yeah, kinda reminds me of Sin City.

  • toma, no tenia shuriken el loco

  • not to get technical here, and correct me if i am wrong but arent "shuriken = throwing stars" and "kunai = throwing knives" ?

I thought these were called kunais.

  • Hi, shuriken means floating or flying blade. Seban shuriken is throwing stars, and bo shuriken are the throwing spikes or the likes. Kunais were digging tools and were not meant for throwing, (althogh you could do it) but it worked as a club with a point rather than throwing or slicing.

  • oh ... righto ... now i feel dumb.

thanks for clarifying that for me, too much ninja stories distort the truth i guess so i was under the impression kunais primary use were like throwing knives

  • i always thought that too lol now i feel dumb as well. some anime calls throwing darts kunai's though.

  • how much money did that cost?

  • There are not so high in one piece of article.

One is 30 dollars from 20 dollars.

Most are not marketed.I order it from a factory and a blacksmith's.

In addition, these are not "Collections".

I used it for an Experiment in order to discover a Effective Law of No-Spin Throwing.

It was how many years or need for investigation.

  • In addition, it is around 9000 dollars in total because a lot of experiments were necessary.

And because I am not a collector,

I do not buy a Shuriken without need for an experiment.

    Houzan Suzuki.

  • thats alot ...

  • Nice plaster on the finger there! :p

is it harder to throw a shuriken or a throwing knife? Could you throw a kitchen knife? Im actually a chef, so if one of my souschefs gives me any grief then id love to be able to go WATCHHAAYYAAA!!!!! and nail him to a nearby wall, preferably with a cleaver.

  • no you really cant that good the knife has to be specialy desined and arrowdynamic with the flight a kitchen knife just chops stuff i make most of mine myself but i dont have anywhere near this much O.o

  • actually some larger cutting knives are amzingly good for throwing...i found that out after taking all the knives out of the cutting block....and throwing them...

  • at 1:17 was that a needle with a spike hammer tip? looked like the grenade from Halo 3

  • Where can I order one of those books ?

  • WOW! THATS SO COOL, U ROCK:)

  • where have you buy this?

  • These most is handmade of me,or custom-designed to the factory.

I gotten from others is a little.

  • I WANT THAT BOOK ... =")

  • Now can you carry them all without anyone noticing or hurting yourself... then we're talkin! =p that'd be one hell of a shuriken shower if you could get them all off fast... double and triple throws imo! lol

  • My value system is different from your outlook on life.

These a lot of trial products of Shurikens were things for an experiment of "physics" for me.

It is to bring science into the world of Shuriken which there was not at all of theory construction in the past for 500 years.

It does not include interest that I kill other people in secrecy at all.

There is a word in the Orient that "True enemy is a wicked thought in Self".

  • whoopee, look at mister philosophical.

  • iwant a colection like that ☺

  • I saw a tanto (or possibly kodachi?) a wakazashi, and I think a few maces in there. xD How is it all thrown? o_O

  • Everything is thrown based on the same principle for Quarter spin throw.

  • Quarter spin meaning 90 degrees out of 360 or 180 degrees?

  • 時計の12時から3時までの角度です。または

    12時から9時までの角度。

    実際には、120度の場合もある。

  • _______A clockface of a clock_________

It is angles since 12:00 to 3:00.

Or it is angles since 12:00 to 9:00.

Actually there is it in case of 120 degrees.

    Wakali masita de shou ka?

  • can sum1 tell me what are the throwing knives with like "a cross handle" ?

  • there is a kind of shuriken with a ring at the end. what are they called?

  • I think you mean the Kunai knife..

  • that is it, thank you

  • oh and they were too sharp even tho the edges were dull the point was extremely sharp because kunai were not used just for digging but for breaking wood and plaster as well.

  • actually kunai were later devoloped into knives.many ninja tools were originally farming tools. but the ninjas modified and sharpend them for combat use. they were commonly used as weapons because of their weight cheap price and convinience.

  • Did you ever see that bruce lee movie, with chuck norris where hes working at a chinese resterant in Rome? These mafia guys go to extort his family, soo he carves darts out of chopsticks and throws them in the enemys hand! Fuckin Knarly

  • Do you think that there is value to tell about the such movie which "edited Sheen" here?

    It is fiction

It is impossible in the light dart which sharpened a tree from that distance.

While I looked, there is hardly the movie which threw a knife really somebody in being uncut.

Of course, it is without editing by CG.

  • Now I do "inspection"about "Tradition and an anecdote" of Shuriken which has been conveyed by Japan are "possible in reality to where, or which is fudgemaking?"

When you discuss, please do a purpose and a premise of a discussion, clearly.

  • Those r called Kunai u retard

  • fool! kunai is different! it isnt a knife! it is a digging tool! much like the hand shovel! the kunai is pointed but dull with the edge and the blade has the shape of a small grass leaf! it has a handle and a hole in the end of the handle. youve been watchin too much naruto dude!

  • You're right that it's not a knife, and technically, not even the later throwing versions were exactly knives either. They were edged as time passed so they could be used as weapons.

  • those things are virtually useless thrown. And chances are the enemy will get it and shank u with it

  • We say in this way, in Japan.

There is a True target of Shuriken in a "deep part of Self".

It is a difference of a Mental state to pursue.

Of course, at the past, utility has been searched too, in Japan.

However, a main weapon of the present age is "the wrong power of the state".

  • However, really right war potential is "the calm power of observation" and "neutral opinion power".I recognize it so.

Of course, this is only my personal opinion.

  • star shuriken are named shaken . don´t mistake it.

  • There is the time that I call "Shaken".

Because "being phonetic to be near to an image".

    It is not a mistake.

A Japanese language does pronunciation to be different for the same ideograph.

But It become "Kurumaken" in Japanese wikipedia "formally".

I think that either is good.

  • dam, i wish i had all of those knives

  • he says shuriken, but shuriken means throwing STAR, bo shuriken means throwing STICK, wich are what he has

but that is an impressive colection

  • In Japan, Bo-Shuriken and Star Shuriken are included and classified by the same "Shuriken Jutsu"."Jutsu"is a meaning of "skill".

    "Star-shuriken", we call it

    "Kuruma Shuriken", or "Tasin Shuriken".

"Kuruma" is a meaning of "a wheel"

"Tasin shuriken"=="Tasin"is a meaning of "many needles"

  • In addition, mistake is the next point.

The opinions which we call Shuriken because "it is form to hide in a hand" are only half of truth.

There is a meaning to be "fly it apart from a hand" in a meaning by an Ideograph.

Therefore, more very big and heavy sword is classed in Shuriken from ancient times.

  • scary those would scuck if they hit someone

  • My "true target" is "physics" and "the skill".

    Do you understand this meaning?

You must not think about Shuriken "in the world of comics".

In addition, it is "a past event" that it was used for war of the ancient times in Japan.

In the present age, the person does not have a qualification to learn Shuriken-jutsu from at a point in time that "thought throw Shuriken to a A human being and an animal".

  • the music is chilling!

  • Right.

Background music is "Deserted Zen temple".

    It copied from CD.

    A meaning is next.

If there is not completely a human "thought and mind" in "nothing[=MU]" and "emptiness"[=KU], Realization[=The Buddha-nature] is not to be able to live there.

  • DUDE!!!!!!!! AMAZING SET!!!!! hey plz tell me where u get that book ok shuriken plz plz plz!!!!!!!

  • Because it is an ancient book, acquisition is difficult in Japan.

"A book of Mr. Fujita" is valuable as "a document", but cannot learn "methods".

There is hardly a book about technology useful really immediately in Japan.

Now I write a draft of a book about concrete technique and a physical theory of Shuriken.

If you are interested in the history and document about Shuriken, I suggest you to look at site of Jason.

  • mm well im interest soo..mmm i need a little help to find that site im new at this jejej sorry...

  • Please search it in "Secrets-of-shuriken-do"about "outline" of Shuriken.

Please search it in "Combat knife throwing" about knife throwing of "No-spin skill".

  • thanks dude!!!!

  • lot os shurikens, but are you good with them lol

  • Nice hardware now lets see them in action

  • Thank you for comment.

I like your "My Knife Throwing" very much.

I linked your animation to my site previously.

Your throwing "is very fast"and "very forcefully".

And the skill that you used both hands is wonderful.

I received big influence from "Combat knife Throwing" which appeared in this animation.

I did not do that I threw a big knife and sword till then.I threw only a Japanese Shuriken till then.

    (Houzan Suzuki)

  • great músic!

  • Shuriken! Shuriken! Shuriken!

  • Actually, what you are refering to are called senban (or, in some cases, juji shaken)... shuriken is the correct word to describe the single-pointed throwing blades pictured in the video. From a techincal standpoint, shuriken is also the proper word to use for any small blade that is concealed in the hand, especially if it is designed to be thrown.

  • i just started throwing and need to get sum churiken do you know how to make good to last shuriken that i can practise with. i cant buy them coz im only 15 and dont have much eqipment to make em thanks

  • Im 13 and I had no idea these things existed before yesterday.

  • Whats the big stick looking thing at the bottom around 1:30?

  • It is called "Secret stick "="Sikomizue".

It appear in movies of "Zato-ich" of Mr.Kitano supervision.

But the "used history" is really unclear.

    This stick becomes "two steps".

He throw this sword by another animation.

  • That is an incredible collection... I may have like 7 home made bo-shuriken that I throw very poorly.

  • beautiful collection...i was always good at throwing knives.

these appear to be far more useful.

  • pretty nice

  • how much did that cost

  • omg

where did you get all of these

can you give me a website?

    thanks

    umm messege me back

    or do you make them?

    if so how much?

  • nice nice...a lot of designs I've seen before

yeah I gota do heat treatment and sharpening, I don't work on the handle. Too bad I don't have a blacksmith here lol

besides shuriken are VERY illegal here (belgium)

  • i love your video i can have learned to throw at i5 feet no spin, but i could use some tips on how you do your heat treatment, the last time i tried i ended up breaking off the tip when it hit the board. please inform me how you do it it would be a great help.

    thank you

  • tell me how u throw your knifes

reply plzzz i need to know

  • to learn i suggest counting steps if it hits with the blade pointing to the sky take have a step back if the handle up take have a step forward till you find your sweet spot its like rolling down hill you just need to get started

  • THere is no exact science to throwin knives. Sorry it isint as cool as in the movies

  • He said he doesn't have any Shuriken for sale now.

  • jason wortherspoon said your shuriken would be for sale are they availible yet?

  • Some are machined at factory to his design.

    Some are made by blacksmith.

There are severl models he received from friends as gifts.

Only small percentage (about 5%) of them were bought from shop, and he customized them.

All finish are done by himself (metal surface and grip/handle, and often sharpenning and heat treatment)

He uses no shuriken bought from a store, "as is".

  • i love your colection how do you make your shuriken??
