  • Thats not like supressing a 9mm xD

  • wow if this existed before many machingun crews would have been saved because of this supresor they positions would not have been revealed

  • shit thats fuckin tite

  • wow you can defence your home without disturbing the neighbors. jeezzz

  • good

  • still a very high soud !!

  • its still loud as hell

  • u could still here it ...

  • with all of your big words you don't know shit and there is no way in hell that anyone would use that on a special operations mission

  • and now lets hear it widout the suppreser for comparison on how much the noise difference is

  • IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?

  • this suppressor is not werry silent

  • you also benefit a lot from far less muzzle flash, which makes it useful during night ops.

  • eotech, surpressor, m60, i dont have one so I know my life sucks

  • that silencer does not help much

  • i think the border patrol should use that........jk thats messed up

  • cool

  • its to loud dont you know the terrorists are sleeping so be quiet before they get my freinds nan after you >: (

  • still noisy, still will wake up the neighbors

  • hahaha its still loud

  • hell rambo style aye

  • dude i want to shoot some cans with that beast now! :(

  • what's the decibel reduction?

  • I use this one when I got frustrated the moment I can not hit the bull with playing darts. I will still have the feel I have hit the bull even when I am two inches off.

  • That is the Most ORGASMIC GUN NOISE I'VE EVER HEARD that is awesome.

  • awsome!!!!!!!!

  • i want one! it looks a bit like the M4 with its new mounted sight and the bottom handle

  • it works just fine.. works better on a none gas op MG. have one on my Hk21 look for.

    Hk21 with suppersor

they last a life time even with full auto fire.

and no you cant hear if from 50 yards away.. just the crack of the rd going past you...lol the video sound makes it seem loud.... I think it's funny. the guys who say it's to make the gun sound like something diff...like what a fast firingpaint ball gun.. in a war zone??...lol check out mine on my Hk21.. then look at Hk21 fun

    you will see

  • wow supressers on machine-guns

  • Supressors arent supposed to silence it numbskull, the guy explained it pretty well and ones for other weapons like an MP5 are supposed tp make it sound like something typical you would hear in that environment rather then completely silence it. of course if i was part of Delta Force, SEALs, or MARSOC i would prefer not to use one because for cqb they make it hard to manuver and are impractical at such close range.

  • im supprised you can use silencers with mg's

  • RAD - they should have a side by side to illustrate the difference between this system and a standard short barreled '60

  • Looks like fun.

  • it's a fucking machine gun your going hear the gas system and selfloader slamming around from miles away no matter what. what a waste of money that is

  • Suppressor

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A suppressor, sound suppressor, or sound moderator, is a device either attached to or part of the barrel of a firearm to reduce the amount of noise and flash generated by firing the weapon. Suppressors are also popularly known as silencers, though no suppressor completely eliminates the noise of discharging a firearm.

  • You are all bitches. Buncha noobs need silencers on your LMGs. Ha. It doesn't even make it SILENT!!!

  • Fuck all you bitches. Im better at COD4 than these NOOBS!

  • It was still loud and I could see the flame coming from the barrel. Not very practical.

  • doesnt sound supressed to me...

    kinda... loud

  • REALLY FUCKIN LOUD SILENCED GUN!

  • Holly crap! There's next to no muzzle jump on that thing. Good design!

  • On this weapon system it dosent matter how loud it is close range its so possible enemy 's cant hear it from a mile or so away

  • I totally disagree with the idea of a spressed MG, because this steals the psycological effect of the MG. If I use a MG, its because of the bigger rounds higher firerate and because of the bigger bang. The sound of an MG firing 7.62 towards you is more likely to make you hesitate about your next step.

  • nice mustve costed a fortune hell the eotechs already expensive as hell lol

  • I felt it move.

  • yeah suppressor my ass that thing sounds like an ak

  • it makes noise like flak canon even with suppressor

  • wtf, fucking nice !

  • i dont see the point of puttinf a suppressor on a belt-fed machinegun its still gonna be loud as hell

  • Despite what it is and isn't supposed to do, it's loud as hell!

  • This is sheer pornography. Gotta go add this one to the list of future purchases.

  • Personally, if I had one of those, the suppressor would go in the garbage. With one of those, I could give a rats ass if they knew where I was at...BRING IT MOFO! I GOT 5 CANS OF AMMO LEFT!

  • santa better fucking read my wish-list!

  • Rambo as James Bond

  • can somone explain to me why you will mount a suppresor on a M60E4 in war?

  • I still say that's loud enough for someone to hear... but I guess a comparison w/ and w/o wouldn't have been a bad idea...

  • Hes even gat an EOTech!

  • Its still loud as hell, pointless....

  • what a sweet sound...

  • To triangulate, you need to have another point to form a triangle to pinpoint a position. Unless the person is using another person through radio to help him figure out where a shot sound came from..lol

  • they are alot more fun to shoot..you can hold on target better. and you dont need ear muffs. the rang stays the same.. i have one set up for my Hk21 belt fed. you can see it under (Hk21 fun)

(Hk21 with suppresser) and past 40 yards away from the gun to cant tell anybody is shooting it...go check them out.

  • eeee that gun the shit

  • i wonder what they suppress... you can hear it laud anyway

  • isnt the main reason to use a light machinegun for covering fire?

i mean light machine guns are so inaccurate, but they make so much sound and so many bullets come out of them, its intimidating

i think that's the main reason why people don't put suppressors on machine guns.

its almost like covering a scary mask or lion's roar

  • HOW MUCH?

  • Oh yeah, I'll take a couple of those, please.

  • The 7.62MM Round is tough to suppress. You still need hearing protection if tactically possible. The idea is to reduce the ballistic & flash signature to help conceal your location while firing short bursts. Keep in mind that if you're heavy on the trigger for any length of time then your position will be easy enough to locate. I have cans in .45, .22 & 5.56mm as well. You can shoot supressed pistol calibers all day without hearing protection, but rifle calibers will still damage your hearing.

  • That's just like mine, But mine has a different suppressor.

  • DAMN U SCARY

  • yes, your asg replique

  • bullshit

  • Why negative Thumbs?

  • y the fuck do u have a gun like that?

  • ya mine has a diff one also

  • I also have one for hunting fucking grizzlies

  • Hmmmm well I guess I have a new favorite weapon!

  • no, stick to the FN mk 48 :p

  • Hmmm I have a new favorite weapon!!

  • The point of a suppressor is so the enemy don't think the noise is a gun noise. An MP5 Suppressed (mp5sd) is very silent, thats why many special forces use it.

  • well with some weapons yes, but most of the time it's supposed to make it sound like your using a smaler caliber then you are.. like a pistol can be made nearly soundless, but it all depends on how much the manufacturer cared about making it silent:)

but i'd rather have a MG36 with double drum mag.. loaded with quiksilver tips or what it's called. those babies are mean..

  • I think you're a little confused between the difference between SD (silenced) and supression...!

  • SAS and SBS, the worlds best

  • There is no mistake of a suppressed weapon, the main points of using a suppressed weapons it that it is more silent which means that the enemy will be searching for the shooter at a longer distance then the shooter actually is at.

    It reduces muzzle flash

in some cases it also helps to deal with recoil a bit due to the added length and weight of the supressor at the front of the barrel.

    -Tobe

  • Thats still a lot of firepower to need suppressed.

  • yeah, but anyone who's ever heard a gun will know what this thing is, just from the sound pattern ("bambambam....bambambam..." etc.)

  • Yes, because of its Roller delayed blowback closed bolt design. (True for all mp5 models). The action stays closed until all (or most) of the gas is vented through the suppressor. This way you don't get sound escaping through the open bolt. The MP5SD also slows the round down to subsonic speeds which is why it is significantly quieter than other suppressed weapons.

  • yeah, since you cant make a gun completely silent, they made the suppressors so it sounds like something just fell or was accidentally kicked by somebody so the guys in the other room dosent think his buddy just had his brains blown out. the reason they made it this way because you can always hear the thud if the bolt hitting the cartridge.

  • i can still hear that wi9th that suppressor on from a mile away

  • no duh... is a suppressor... its not suppose to silence it

  • Yeah with your ear. But its harder to triangulate where the gun is being fired from using microphones. With more microphones you will have better accuracy on the shooters position. But in an urban environment (a city)there is too much backround noise for the microphones to register a suppressed weapon.

  • really dude like you can say that is a m60 suppresed at a mile away. to me that sounds like somone is taping a piceice of metal

  • It's a fucking machine gun. Do you have any idea how suppressors work? The baffles get fucked up after like 10 rounds, and you have to replace them or else the dB is going to increase

  • well, it's much better that you can only hear it a mile away rather than, say, five miles away.

  • your supposed to here i. the supressor just reduces muzzel flach

  • very very nice!!!!!!! really awesoome!!

  • id like to use it when im gonna go hunting

  • wouldn't be anything left to find hahahahaha

  • You would have no animal left

  • I don't understand why some people comment on how this is pointless or useless. It's a relatively small metal can, simple in design, that effectively reduces noise and flash. An M60 is very loud for small arms, this simple little can makes it significantly less loud and helps hide your position. No, it will not make it a magical silent machine gun but what is one drawback?

  • ahahaa is that a mock suppressor? anyone can hear that noise from a mile away :D.

  • lol u cant supres that mofo lol

  • does having a suppressor increase or decrease muzzle velocity of a bullet?

  • from my understanding, wouldnt the silencer be more prone to wear since its on a machine gun..will all that rounds going through it.

  • yeeeeee boyyyyy

  • what a waste of money

  • It makes alot of sense for Special Forces, but I would assume only for a short time.Fitting it to the m60 is beyond me though as it appears to be a weapon that is being fazed out in favour of more competent european designers.

    waffe

  • How come COD4 doesent have this perk?

  • thats still pretty loud for a supressed weapon

  • that suppressor's suppression is more towards the muzzle flash than the sound

  • Made to kill the flash and confuse the enemy to the location of the firing. It s dilutes sound, not muffle it. Useless, for the addition of a suppressor, you sacrifice range and accuracy.

  • actually it increases accuary by a minute amount and doesn't sacrifice any range wat so ever.

  • That shows how much you know 12GaugeLosAngeles.

He was using supersonic rounds so the range is the same.

The suppressor catches the gasses coming from the muzzle, pushing the weapon forward slightly causing counter recoil, and reducing muzzle flip, plus the added weight at the front assists in reducing muzzle flip.

The contained gasses can't affect the bullet leaving the muzzle, that INCREASES the accuracy of the weapon.

    all info on Wikipedia

Learn the facts before spouting bullshit.

  • Except at night when the flash kills your nightvision. I would have loved to have one of these on my 240 in Iraq.

  • too much cod4, suppressors have no effect on the round itself at all

  • Unless you've been on an op, how would you know the benefits of dealing with a threat without alerting others to your presence say a mile away? Have you ever heard what unsuppressed fire sounds like going through a valley? As for the accuracy...a suppressor mimics the effects of a muzzlebrake and reduces felt recoil, hence accuracy, as for range the only reason the range would be reduced is because an operator is using subsonic rounds with less velocity. THanks.

  • you play too much CoD4 a suppressor in real life doesn't decrease range or accuracy

  • I guess you can fit that on a mk48 if it has a threaded barrel...I don't really see the point of a silencer on an mg, but I guess in some situations it could be convenient...I liked that last full auto, pretty sweet, idk if you'd hit anything lol

  • Not a silencer, doofus. Its a suppressor. Look it up on wikipedia.

  • It's essentially the same thing. It's just called different names in different places. Just look at the information for the video.

  • good clip

  • exactly

  • wow that m60 looks sweet

  • lol, its obviously not quiet enough if he's still wearing his hearing protection.

  • They slowed down the ROF for accuracy reasons. Less recoil, more accuracy. Not like it's all that accurate anyways.

  • too loud

  • it'd be louder without it

  • The M249 is going to be replaced in the USMC. I think either by the Ultimax, the MK48, or the M60E4.

  • the M60 system is basing on the FG42 system and the design ins from the MG42

  • You know whats weird? Both the FG42 and the MG42 fire really fricken fast (FG42 firing 900 RPM and MG42 firing 1100-1400 RPM) and yet the M60, great gun it may be, fires at a mere 550 RPM. I really dont get how that came to pass.

  • No idea exactly but it probably has something to do with conserving ammo, faster firing means burning through ammo and thus you gotta carry more ammo to the fight.

There are ways of making the M60 fire faster, there is sort of like a restricter plate in the mechanism that slows the rate down, take that out and you shoot faster or at least that's the way the Nam M60s were according to the guy I know that was a Nam sniper.

  • The thing is you don't need to use that much. Yea, I know you always want to fire more cause it's way easier to hit shit with it. It's a pretty big machine gun that you can fire from the assault position. In the Navy, we traded out our 60's for M240Bs...and it blows. the 240 fires faster, and with the 240G, you can crank that bitch up to like 900 rounds per minute, but it's bigger, heavier and ejects out the bottom which is a fucking problem for me. Give me a 60 over all that other shit any day.

  • so the seals dont use the MK43 anymore?

  • C*O*O*L*

  • That's an authentic M60E4. I can tell with the nose sights; the M60E4 has the square part under it.

  • wow that is loud!!!!! sweet noisemaker...well thats one way to not surpress an m60...lmao

  • what i would do and give to have that

  • Wow!

  • i want one

  • i wouldent bring that on my undercover mission hehehe

  • I like steve helzer. What a nice guy.

  • Im sorry, but the enemy will triangulate your pos with that sup. M60 is just naturally noisy.

  • still loud as hell o.O

  • i didn't know that suppressors existed for lmgs.

  • Suppressors exist for basically any gun out there, except gatling style guns like Vulcans and GAU-8s and such.

  • theres a silencer for a 155mm canon too, on a m109 tank. Frekin huge as hell. But theres like only 1 or two in existence

  • fuck...me either

  • you can put one on any gun

  • Wow why U.S. replace the M60!? M60 like the best & powerful machine gun! Now U.S. using M249 and M240 that made in Belgium! What about U.S. made M60 machine gun?! Well I think M249, M240, and M60 are good machine gun!

  • The M60 is basically a ripoff of a German gun from WW2 so...it doesn't really matter.

  • Why all the thumbs down for this guy? It is true. The M-60 is a gas operated rework of the German MG-34 and MG-42. The same can be said for the M-240 and the earlier Browning 1919A6. Would you folks thumbs down if he said the StG-44 and its prototypes were the first "assault rifles?"

  • Actually only a few things on the M60 were copied from the MG42. The M60 borrowed a lot of features from a lot of different guns.

  • so isnt the Ak-47 the rocket programs of both US and USSR jet aircraft technology. simply put the current M60 is better than ever. it weighs less then a M240 and is only slightly heavier than a Mk 48 LMG.

  • Not True, The M60 Doesnt Heat Quickly and its more accurate.

  • FN makes probably the best weapons in the world. Just cause a weapon was made in the U.S. doesnt mean its a good gun. Take Colt and the m4 for example.

  • H&K is my favorite weapons producer, look at the MP5, 416, USP, MK23, G3, G36, and UMP.

  • the M4 is bieng used for what it wasnt intended for for example trying to kill a terrorist at 600 yards. plus the 5.56 round isnt best suited for shooting through cinder blocks. the M4 is a great weapon so long as you dont use it for long range.

  • The M4 is a good gun...

  • and h&k are pritty sweet

  • Okay... but what about the PS90?

  • True but look at Springfield Armory and the M1/M14 60 years after they were introduced they are still being used by civilians and some military units. Or Remington and it's Model 700, the most popular hunting rifle in North America and the base for most military sniper systems.

  • The M-240s are a much better LMG than the M60. The reliability factor and accuracy isn't even comparable

  • maily a combo in the feild but the m249 is lighter and easier to handle

  • they use the m249 more often then the m60 due to fire rate and the fact that they want high velocity armour piercing 556, 762 is to sluggish nowadays

  • m240 replace the m60 being easier to clean, lighter

  • Are basing your opinion on which is best based on personal experience or some stat you found on the internet?

Have you humped with the damn thing through a 24K hike and smelled the burnt powder after firing thousands of rounds of ammunition?

Next thing your gonna tell me is your some form of Delta Seal that can make headshots with any of the three MGs you mentioned

  • Ive been deployed with both the M60 and M240B and both are kickass weapons. As for the m249, i'm not the biggest fan. As for trading up the 60 for the 240, i think it came down to the simplicity of the actions, the 60 has a lot more moving parts inside, but still very reliable. It take either one of them!!!!

  • The SEAL's still use the M60, or at least a modern version like this one.

  • wow suppress an LMG...whatever works i guess

  • its ok if its loud, it still gets rid of huge as muzzle flash for night time

  • Not everything is hollywood guys

  • its still loud

  • yeah, that is still fairly loud. only if you were sneaking up on deaf people would it work. but, not as loud as it could be i guess

  • pointless

  • wtf..

numba 1: m60 is not made for spec ops missions in night vision and silencers.

numba 2: the noise will be heard from 2 miles away.

numba 3: pointless perk on gun.

  • numba 3: are you a complete & total dumbass?

  • lol your right

  • "numba 1" "not made for SpecOps with NV and scilecers... now it is

"numba 2" although standing next to it its hard to tell a difference, but from a distance its

  • wtf?? comment auto posted before i was fin.

The suppressor (not scilecer) is made to quiet the shots fired from a distance, and although up close it seems pretty useless,It snuffs out that !!CRACK!! by reducing the bullet velocity to sub-sonic speed making it quite difficult to tell at long rang where the shots are coming from. Another big plus is the elimination of muzzle flash, also helping in concielment. I dont think they would have made such a thing for "shits and giggles"

  • madgrav, a suppressor does not reduce a bullet's velocity to subsonic speeds. They have subsonic ammunition for this. The ammunition they're using in this is still going to be supersonic at effective range, thus, it's still going to make that "crack" sound.

You're right on elimination of muzzle flash, though Mk43s aren't known for it. Suppressed MGs are primarily useful to not deafen yourself and those beside you, ie you improve your audible SITAW and can still verbally communicate.

  • *Smiles* yes true, i realized this after i wrote my comment (decided to do my research after) as they would need C-loaded(SS) ammo for the bullet to reach SS speed (i wonder what feeding problems, if any, this would cause) Thanx for the fixing fact,, and yea I can only imagine the disorentation you and your squaddies would be feeling after half a belt of NATO-7.62mm THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD...... ringgggggggggggg

  • M60 way more powerful then M249 SAW!!!

    and plus M60 effective range 1,100 m and M249 SAW effective range 1000 m!!!

    M249 SAW: 5.56x45mm

    M60: 7.62x51mm
