The comic's are much better. Zartan diguises himself as Stormshadow when assassinating Snake-eyes's Master. Stormshadow learns about this and shows proof to Snake-eyes. After that, Cobra abducts Snake-eyes to a Skyscraper where they question and torture him. Lady Scarlet and Stormshadow rescues Snake-eyes.

They assault a prisoncamp and free several G.I Joes held captives in russia for example. Stormshadow also left Corba and joined G.I Joe. Search the wiki for the whole story. Read the comic section.

In the comics, Snake Eyes and Scarlett were on a mission in the middle east when their helicopter malfunctioned and the rotor blade hit another helicopter. The door slid shut, trapping Scrlett in her harness, and Snake Eyes stayed behind to cut her free. An explosion came through the window, scarring Snake Eyes' face and damaging his vocal chords, and he carried Scarlett out of the burning wreckage.

@131untouchable Technically, Storm Shadow is far superior than Snake Eyes. SS has had more training in the temple, showed more potential, and utilizes more Chi. However, in the spirit of the ignorant "Good always wins over evil" (which as any sane person knows is UNTRUE in RL), Snake Eyes must be the victor.

@NXSeven True Storm Shadow showed alot more potential in his training and definately was superior in some ways...but the reason Snake Eyes won isnt because of a cliche...Snake Eyes won because Storm Shadow was only a part of Cobra for power and Glory, in real history that isnt an acceptable way for the ninja...Obviously the master saw That even though Storm Shadow was his own nephew and physically superior, Snake Eyes possesed the right spirit and actually taught him the 7th step to the sun.

Sorry to disagree with ya dude, but that's only in the Rise of Cobra movie. In Resolute it was a rfle round fired by Zartan as he assassinated the Hard Master, and in the original comics, his face was destroyed by igniting avionic fuel as he tried to save Scarlett from a crashing Huey.

The door slammed shut on Scarlett's harness trapping her, and Snake Eyes stayed behind to cut her loose after everyone else bailed out. When the two choppers collided again, a fuel line broke and an explosion hit Snake Eyes in the face, scarring him and damaging his vocal chords, but he still managed to drag Scarlett out of the burning wreckage.

Well, he and Scarlett were both wearing helmets, so his face and throat got the worst of the damage. He did get reconstructive surgery in later issues that repaired his face, and he looks pretty good now -- blonde hair, blue eyes, and a single scar running diagonally down one side of his face to the other side. His voice remains gone, however. Read G.I. Joe issues #26, #27, and #144 written by Larry Hama from Marvel comics for Snake Eyes' full backstory.
