i put an intake on my 07 and the engine light came on, took it and got the code read and it was running to rich they said to put the stock stuff back on and after i gased it up the light went out. any suggestions why that would happen, and did yours do that?
@atnomad Yes, the intake comes with two pieces. You can either attach the filter to the first piece, like I did, or you can attach both pieces to make it into a cold air intake.
Either one is fine, it wont really make much difference in power. The reason i kept mine a short ram is because i like the look of the filter in the engine bay.
my car came with a seconday air injection for emmision purposes so there was a hose connected to the air box and when i bought the air intake it didnt come with a connection so instead of leaving the hose unconnected i put a breather filter on it.
Mine is a 2007 Ls. I cant remember the exact web site i purchased mine off of but if you just do a google search for something like cobalt intake you should be able to find plenty of various intakes. Good luck.
do you have any problems with MAF or hessitation at 2000-2700 RPM?

I think it cost about $300. Yes i installed it myself, it was very simple. The instructions were very clear.
