I was at this show...Blink was opening for Pennywise. Blink was still just a fun, popular local band then. After their set I interviewed Tom and Mark along with Fletcher, Jim and Randy from Pennywise (for the Daily Aztec, SDSU's newspaper). Fantastic show. Nonstop stage dives thanks to the all-access pass.

Make no mistake, back in the mid-90's Pennywise was the undisputed king of the surf/skate punk bands. There was the holy trinity of Pennywise, Bad Religion, and NOFX. Blink was just another local San Diego band. I mean, Blink was really popular and they were a ton of fun to see live, but I don't think anyone back then expected them to become even half as big as they did. If anything, Unwritten Law was the band we expected to go big.

Chances are I was there too. Of course this was when they were Blink (no 182 - Saw them play under Gayaliens 182 when the name dispute came up) and the old drummer was still in high school.
