  • What is the plural here. Is it ...Concerto's Grossi...or Concerti Grosso's.. I am not being smart I really am interested.

  • @grandadpoppyable it's concerti grossi. :)

  • @HARMONICO101 TY much appreciated. Pls keep posting.. Do you have any baroque minuets. By Corelli. Iam learning what a Basso actually means and what instruments are used as the continuo line. Corelli seems to prefer the harpsichord where as Handel seemed to use the Lute a heck of a lot. What do you think Harminico

  • If you ever wondered what a concerto grosso was then you've got answer here. Corelli was (almost) the founding father this style.

  • And there wouldn't have been a Beatles without a Bach.

  • @bwanna23 i hate the beatles

  • I once heard a very interesting comment on Corelli: it wouldn't have been a Vivaldi wihout Corelli, and there wouldn't have been a Bach without Vivaldi.

Each one was the inspiration of the other. But Corelli was the first to inspire!

  • @Davccelion I'm sure he was inspired as well

  • @bitesh , you're right.

  • Corelli is the best all time . . . get it please !

  • Interesting painting as well. Looks like some kind of fighting going on.

  • It looks like some work of art =)

  • ah, i actually have this concerto on a Corelli CD. Awesome music this is.

  • This is a interesting piece, thanks for posting. I have only recently been discovering more of Corelli's work other than the well known "Christmas Concerto"
